We bought in to globalreppro Michael Cantrells presentation. Talk about throwing $10000.00 down the tub. Against our better judgment went to a presentation in Hawaii at Pacific Dreams. We really should have know it was tood good to be true. The hot weeks are a joke. I just went online to one hotel they said was available for $99.00 per night and the hotel...

I’ve done a lot of research on both Destination Paradise Hawaii (DPH) and Global Escapes in Texas and these are the same people. Once they got shut down by the Attorney General in Texas, they came to Hawaii. These companies exist to scam unwitting tourists. The owners and employees left San Antonio and started working in Hawaii. I'd like to see them s hut down as a service to past, current and future victims. Here are links to the steps the Texas Attorney General took to shut them down. Just like they keep changing their name in Hawaii (Destination Paradise, paradise blue and now Paradise Dreams a ll within 18 months!), they used many names in Tex as also: Escapes Austin, Global Escapes, Blue water, Escapes Midwest, Sun Tree Escapes, Escapes Midwest. Etc...

IT IS THE EXACT SAME SCAM JUST A DIFFERENT DESTINATION - INSTEAD OF RIPPING OFF PEOPLE IN TEXAS THEY ARE RIPPING OFF PEOPLE IN HAWAII

Please, please, please read the injections websites below:

Here is what an article in a Texas newspaper said about them:

A family of Florida-based travel companies doing business in Austin and San Antonio are facing charges of deceptive trade practices and other business and commerce code violations from the Texas Attorney General’s office.

The defendants, Escapes Austin LLC and Escapes Midwest LLC, which do business under the names Global Escapes, Blue Water, Sun Tree and others, are accused of using false gift giveaways to entice customers to attend sales seminars that marketed worth less travel-related software programs, according t o a news release from the attorney general’s office.

Attorney General Greg Abbott said his office is seeking restitution for some 5, 000 Texas consumers who may have been deceived into purchasing the software. In response to the attorney general’s actions, the 73rd District Court of Bexar County issued an order freezing the defendants’ assets.

Court documents filed by the state also name chief executive officer James Carey III and managing member Gwendolyn Carey. According to the state’s lawsuit, the defendants used direct mail and telemarketing calls to inform potential customers that they “won” free cruises, hotel stays, vehicles, flights or expensive watches. However, recipients were told that they must set up an appointment to attend a sales presentation in order to receive their prize.

Those chosen also were told they only needed to pay taxes due on the gifts. Recipients were not informed about restrictions, hidden costs, the prizes’ overall value or the prizes’ limited availability. According to state investigators, prizes were difficult to redeem, expensive to redeem, or unavailable during certain dates.

During the mandatory sales seminars, the defendants touted their “proprietary software search engine technology, ” which they claimed would allow purchasers to locate and reserve bargain travel deals online. “ The defendants then used high-pressure sales tactics to convince customers that their ‘software license’ opportunity surpassed all others in the industry, ” the release states. “The defendants’ sales representatives often purported to ‘negotiate down ’ from the software’s $12, 000 retail price to $7, 000, $4, 000, or to a ‘one-time price reduction’ of $2, 200.”

Customers who could not afford the purchase price were offered financing. Rather than retain the purchaser’s outstanding debt, the defendants frequently sold it to third-party debt collection or finance companies.

According to the documents, after purchasing the product, many customers were unable to log on to the Web site for at least two weeks. “When the defendants finally provided the necessary user IDs and passwords, many customers’ encountered technical problems. Customers who were able to fully access the system discovered that the bargain travel deals they were promise d did not actually exist.”

During the sales negotiations, customers were told they could return the product for a refund if they were dissatisfied with their purchase. However, when customers attempted to cancel their contracts, the defendants claimed the sales contract was binding. Concerned that the debt collection agencies could ruin their credit ratings, many customers also paid annual support “software upgrade” fees, even when they could not or did not use the system.

Under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, the defendants face civil penalties of up to $20, 000 per violation, as well as a $250, 000 penalties if the conduct was designed to harm a person aged 65 or older.

Michael Cantrell michael cantrell

Ah, the old saying "If it's too good to be true, it probably is." I should have followed this advice. We received an invitation to listen to a presentation by Michael Cantrell, and he stated we would receive free roundtrip tickets and two nights free stay at a Marriott for coming. I called him and we came.

The membership presentation was interesting, but I never heard of Pacific Dreams or GlobalRepPro or Michael Cantrell, and they didn't say who they were when I called, so I wanted some time to research them and see if they were who they said they were. Odd enough, when I left there, I asked for a business card, but they didn't have any...and, then we got a flimsy photocopy for our free trip gift. We knew we would pay taxes on the trip, which totaled $940 for the both of us, but in the fine print, there's also a $50 "redemption fee", then a $50 "travel agency fee" for EACH traveler, so that's $1040 for a free trip. On top of that, you have to give two different dates, arrival on Mondays, and there's no information on where you can go.

Simply put, this is a fraud. Don't bother to go to Michael Cantrell's presentations. The memberships sound good, but there is just very little information you can get about Pacific Dreams, and their shady dealings to get you there should make anyone very suspect. SCAMMERS!

As the Director of Sales of Pacific Dreams I can tell you first hand that that Michael Cantrell has NEVER worked for my company in a sales capacity of any kind. Additionally our database does not show a Justin L, Zachary S. or Global Connections as being a member of our service, or ever having viewed our products or services. If you would be so kind as to provide me with your purchase date, contract number and name, I will be more than happy to look into your claim. If we have done anything wrong, or have not provided a good value to you, I will be more than happy to provide you with a full and complete refund.

“Consumer Protection Warning”

BE AWARE FROM MICHAEL CANTRELL AND PACIFIC DREAMS MAUI

Consumer Protection Commissioner in Hawaii - Joshua Hillsborough is alerting consumers about Michael Cantrell that seemingly offer free travel, but beware he is noted to be a white collar criminal on the run from authority’s in Ohio.

Michael Cantrell began landing innocent victims in Colorado recently, he said in a release issued on Wednesday.

The promotional presentation includes a scam of travel discounts of travel club offers where he implies to victims to save them up 90% off travel and features in large airfare discounts. Michael Cantrell makes a certificate he distributes with the names and identifiable logos of Delta or Southwest Airlines. Michael Cantrell said to one of the victims we interviewed in our report, “the post cards are from a travel company that have no relationship to the airlines, I don’t give a ### if the people don’t get a free trip their moochers”.

The membership advises clients who bought that they will receive “2 Round Trip Airfares” and hotel lodging every year for 50% - 80% off, and direct them to a toll-free number for more information on how to use their membership.

In states similar memberships have been sold for up to $40, 000, consumer complaints indicate that the offer is really a gimmick and a scam to get unsuspecting consumers to sign up for a private exclusive travel club or Web site subscription, Hillsborough said.

“We are concerned that these Travel Clubs Michael Cantrell works at could lure consumers into believing that they are going to receive free trips and greatly discounted hotel stay with no strings attached, when apparently, that is not the case at all, ” Hillsbrough said. “The fine print on the back of the membership documents indicates that so many restrictions apply, and according to complaints from consumers in other states where Michael Cantrell has worked, these travel Clubs are a scam especially pointing out two Clubs in particular “Pacific Dreams” located in Maui where their promotions have run out tourist from the beautiful Hawaiian Island, the conditions often become clear when it’s too late to change one’s mind” said Hillsborough.

Hillsborough said one other Travel Club to watch out for is RSI (Reservation Services International) or Access RSI, this company’s online promotional websites are completely a “fraud” received by a consumer last week featured the same name, logo and an office photo, and said RSI is all smoking mirrors she had purchased from Pacific Dreams in Maui who apparently is not Pacific Dreams but RSI or sells the RSI product, had been selected to be a key whiteness with twenty two other consumers who have purchased with Pacific Dreams In Maui and are now starting a class action law suit. Furthermore she states that Tickets On The Rock is a good company they are the company who serviced me and told me where to go after RSI/Pacific Dreams and Michael Cantrell Scammed & Frauded me for $6940 and a “BONUS HOTEL STAY.”

The membership number on their package directed the recipient to a toll-free number for more information, he said it was to RSI in Florida who never answered the phone the 20+ times we called.

Upon calling, the recipient reached an answering machine stating RSI, a travel agency in the Florida area. The caller was then offered to leave a message and someone would get back to them, no one ever returned the call, but Tickets on the Rock helped me and gave me free activity tickets on while I was on Maui for two people, also told me I was welcome back any time for helping them and they would pay my activity events and a bonus hotel stay, they are wonderful said the victim of the alleged fraud.
Hillsborough said please notify the police immediately if you see Michael Cantrell, we would like to bring him in for questioning on 183 counts of fraud committed in Ohio, Colorado and Maui.

Michael Cantrell is 33 years old approximately 5”9 thin frame and tanned skin.
He claims to be a Berkley Graduate with an Masters degree in computer science, he claims to be a web site developer and expert and can be viewed on YOUTUBE by searching for his name, Michael Cantrell also go’s by Mike Cantrell, James Cantra, and Mike Kintero.

Information about the scam –
Consumer is offered an incentive -
In order to “qualify, ” the consumer was required to answer questions about income, marital status and age, and was told attendance at a 90-minute presentation at a sales location in Maui, he said.

"Consumers in other states who have attended similarly-promoted presentations report that they encountered hard-sell tactics and that Michael Cantrell encouraging them to join his travel club costing thousands of dollars, and that if and when they finally received their membership, they learned that they had to pay more money to vacation than they could have on line by them selfs plus taxes and fees per person, " Hillsborough said. "In addition, many travel dates were blocked, and travel restrictions and requirement to fly out on a Monday or Tuesday and return that Thursday."

The Department of investigations also learned of similar Travel Clubs owned by RSI or serviced by them which the department is receiving an overwhelming amount of complaints. We believe currently the person who is operating the Pacific Dreams sales center in Maui is a gentleman by the name of Scott Carey who is apparently a racist and bigot. Many complaints are being received in Maui featuring the Michael Cantrell and Scott Carey name, claiming to me misrepresented and frauded out of their money. A similar club offering a similar deal and product (RSI), including attending a presentation at an Oahu sale location is under investigation as well. Investigators say, sometime this week or next at the same time in Oahu we will be conducting a consumer based investigation as well, we believe the owner of the company in Maui is the same as the one in Oahu, Hillsborough said.

“We have confirmed that these resorts, hotels and airlines are not affiliated whatsoever with the RSI or Pacific Dreams companies, ” Hillsborough said. “We are alerting consumers that these offers Michael Cantrell, RSI and Pacific Dreams require scrutiny and consideration.”

Hillsborough said any consumer who has purchased a Travel Membership from Michael Cantrell or Pacific Dreams and is thinking about attending their presentation should be wary. We will be putting all of our efforts to get to the bottom of this and detain Michael Cantrell as well the spot light is now on RSI Scott Carey and apparently Brother Jim Carey who is an owner of the RSI Company…

“As always, if a deal seems too good to be true, it’s usually not true, ” Commissioner Hillsborough said.

I Totally agree. We feel like total losers for signing up with Michael Cantrell's promotions and giving them our hard earned money. I just wish I would have done more homework before signing. I feel like a stooge. Don't ever go to his presentations and don't get sucked in. Just a word to the wise.

MICHAEL CANTRELL is dishonest and he should be arrested. Hopefully he will be if people like me ban together! PACIFIC DREAMS uses many scamming techniques such as not answering their phones and making it impossible to reach them except over a period of weeks through regular snail mail. The scam they used on me was to request me to send potential cruise...
