Microtel Inn Reservation not honored/money not returned

I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn in Johnstown, NY. I had made the reservation via phone call to the motel. Because I was arriving early, I requested an early check-in as well as a late check-out. I paid extra in advance to do both. Upon arriving at the motel, I was not given a room and was told I needed to wait until normal check-in time. The individual at the front desk refused to even look at my reservation and I was treated very disrespectfully and rudely.

I have contacted them and requested the extra money back, but they are refusing and keep saying I reserved through a 3rd party. This is NOT accurate as I called the motel directly and made the reservation with someone there.

I need my money back.
