return policy
I ordered this program after seeing it advertised on TV. I changed my mind and called to cancel the same day. I was told I could not cancel until I received the package and then could call for a return #. In the meantime I went on a short vacation. When I returned I hadn't receive the package. It was listed as "available for pick up" at my local post office. I called them and they could not find it and I was told could not do anything further because it was not insured. I called Midwest and was told I would have to file a police report for stolen property and call them with a case # before they can close my account. I protested but was told that " upon consultation with many supervisors, that this has been does this way for years and everyone just does it." How ridiculous and what a scam! Do not get involved with this company it is a ripoff. PS
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Fraud and cheating
Lucinda and David Bassett flood late night infomercial TV with their overpriced Attacking Anxiety and Depression schlock program. They advertise a '30-day risk free trial' for just $9.95, the so called 'shipping/Handling charge' (inflated as any typical infomercial ripoff), the hook being that the S/H charge is all you pay for the 30 day 'trial period'.Then...

I made the BIG mistake of ordering the book & CD's
For a "free fourteen day trail". When I discovered it is just a big infomercial and no help at all. I called to return it. They immediately charged my account $66.50. So I called & spoke with JC, he said it is there policy. Then I spoke to supervisor Kay. All I got was verbal apologizes. Then she slipped & said it was a computer glitch. They will return my money when they get there product. They told me to trust them. Hah.
They just sent me all of their junk I didn't even order it now how do I get it sent back?
Complaint against Midwest Center for Anxiety- I saw the infomercial on tv and called to order the cd's. I told them I did not want the supplements. After a few days, I decided I shouldn't ordered the cd's either. I refused the cd's and never opened them, returned them to the company and they are still charging me for them. I have made 4 or 5 phone calls to their customer service dept and can not get any help with this matter at all. they told the supplements were being mailed to me and my credit card would be charged for them. I had originally told them that I did not want the supplements. What kind of a company is this that charges you for merchandise that was returned to them unopened? What kind of company attempts to charge you for merchandise you specifically say you don't want? Does anyone in this company have any ethics at all? They are preying on people that are already dealing with stress and anxiety and they just add to it instead of trying to help them as they promise. I am filing a complaint with the consumer fraud division in the attorney general's office. I hope other people find out what this company is really like before they lose their money. They should not be allowed to continue treating people this way.
