My Sweet Savings lack of information on website & impossible to call through their office numbers

I am not sure what psychology they used, because after clicking through their many page "survey", somehow I foun myself keying in my credit card details.

I sent them an email right after I realized they are charging a monthly fee with auto renewal.

Also called my credit card company but they said I need to settle with merchant first before I can submit a dispute through credit card company.

beware of this website... and don't bother to call their "hotline" +65 31589247or office number tel:+6563291467. I call 3 different times on 3 different days on their "hotline" and after waiting 20 minutes, I can never get hold of their call agent.

If you call their office number, you will hear a message that "their is no one to take your call, please leave a voice message". However it is impossible to leave any message as the line will automatically cut off after they finish the voice memo. I tried to call multiple times during their office hours.

Out of anxiety, after stumbling on this page and did not receive reply via email for few days, or get through any of their lines, I called my credit card company to cancel my current credit card with reason that I fell into a scam.

Finally just earlier, I got a reply from Mysweetsavings after 5 days (please see photo attached). No where in their website did they say that there is 72 hours window period!

My Sweet Savings Scam / Waste of Time

Came across this $1 membership (usual price $34.90) where I can get a $35 cash back in return when I do a top up of $35 on my ezlink card. As I thought it was a good deal, I decided to do some research online to find out how legitimate is this deal.

While there are many complaints online about this company, I still went ahead with purchasing the deal but made sure that I scrutinise the Terms and Conditions to ensure I do not get cheated by the company.

The following are some key pointers I took note of:
1. $1 membership entitles me with 72 hours of free access, after which, I will be charged $34.90 per month.

2. If I want to unsubscribe from their membership, I need to ensure the customer service receives my email request 48 hours before the end of my subscription - hence that leaves me with, what? 24 hours? - Not sure how valid is this. Could be misinterpretation on my part, whatever. Don't even bother wasting your time on their service.

3. After you make the $35 top up on ezlink card, you have to scan the receipt and email to them. And because I know my membership will end in a few days, I went to the nearest MRT station to make a top up ASAP.

BUT, I did not receive any replies within the 72 hours of my free membership entitlement.

Here's another term they stated:

4. Quoted from https://www.mysweetsavings.sg/pp/privacy-policy/mysweetsavings.sg/: "The Customer Service officers will endeavour to answer any request within 24 hours on business days only
 but during busy periods, our customer service may take up to five working days to reply to e-mails. "

So of course, I unsubscribe to their service within 72 hours AND THEN only receive their reply after 5 days. I sent my receipt on 5th Dec and received a reply on 10th Dec saying that I am not entitled to the cash back as I am no longer subscribed.

Hello my (NOT SO) sweet savings (MySweetSavings, Powered by Deals-Singapore.com), why would I want to PAY $34.90 for your service after 72 hours when I haven't gotten my $35 cash back. And even if I do get back my $35, the total amount I would have spent minus the $35 cash back would have been $35.90, which means I would have made a net loss of $1.00.

This deal is too good to be true, and I knew it from the start, but still chose to hope maybe it's a new business strategy that I should give it a try.

(Side note, I tried to email their customer service, in hope to resolve this amicably, but they were simply apologetic about the inconvenience caused.)

So for the $1.00 that MySweetSavings has devoured from me with giving me nothing in return, this feedback is for you. And I will make sure I spread the word, so that such a business strategy would not be employed by others in future, because it is absolutely unacceptable and consumers should be spared from wasting their time on such services.

My Sweet Savings Don't subscribe for them – they charge for wrong sums

I visited the website Mysweetsavings. I wanted to try their 3 days trial, but these jerks subscribed me for long-term subscription. They immediately charged me for $37.99. I sent them multiple emails and informed that I haven’t subscribed for this trial, but they ignored all my emails and complaints. I already cancelled my card, but I wanted to warn other people.

My Sweet Savings Scammer

This company totally is a scammer. I saw their advertisement and enter their website. I was interested in the Transportation Savings Scheme so I clicked and was halfway through the subscription. They required us to fill in our Credit Card details for the trial before we even agree to buy the package! With second thoughts, I closed the page before I click the button for subscription. I didn’t know that we have to unsubscribe within 72 hours. I didn’t even realize the company was charging me until I saw my bills! They deducted 2 month of the payment when I didn’t even finish the transaction to subscribe! I emailed the company immediately and was responded by the staff with the name of Nicole, and she just asked me to unsubscribe. I asked them to refund when I didn’t even subscribe and she didn’t even reply.

It happen to me too! I don't even complete my application, since I have not received e a y confirmation from the company so I thought I. Safe...on the end month credit card bill I saw a charges of S$37.23 by company name 'Coffeebox Be'. With exchange rate @EUR 22.53. Immediately I checked the web then realised that I was scammed! I had unscripted from this company. They had reply witb a confirmation of my account will inscribed. Do you think can I call the bank to reject my payment? Please advice, thank you.

the spam web site has two, one is the official web site, the other is pop up advertisement web site with out notice user the membership info, only request user email adress and user credit card info.
police unable to track them.

there is little you can do except reporting to the bank. The singapore police i doubt is able to do much as the 'crime' happen online and they did state that they are going to deduct subscription $ monthly from you. Nevertheless try to lodge a police report it is a severe case of misrepresentation and unrepresentation of charges. Shame on them to scam money this way.

CASE will not handle unless you pay a fee. best way is to create awareness now on facebook, instagram, twitter AS THIS DESPICABLE WEBSITE STILL EXIST!

Since returning to Singapore after being away for almost 30 years, I never expected such a thing existed. For several months, I did not even suspect anything was going on and that I was being scammed!

I also got scammed without notice after a few month. I think I going to make a police report and complain to CASE. They should be taken some action to it. Is their job.

I got cheated to. I subscribe to the $1 supermarket deal but instead was deducted $35 monthly. This is day light robbery!

My Sweet Savings Don't trust your money to this scamming website

I created account on the website Mysweetsavings. I hoped to earn money and save them, and the website offered such opportunity, but everything turned to be lie. They once blocked me and when I tried to restore my account and money, no one from this company helped me. They got my money and stopped to communicate. They did everything on purpose and the website is really bad, so please stay away from them and post comments about your things with them.

im the victim for that website too, any advice how to solve it? will they refund the amount that they had charged?
