SURE GLAD THEY HAD AN A+ RATING FROM THE BBB RIGHT UP TO THE LAST RIP-OFF ROUND THEY MADE IN AUGUST!

Folks, please avoid National Growth Funding! I am the long-term President of a family foundation that provides about $200, 000 annually in grants. We get all sorts of letters from NGF to support your businesses, but IRS code only allows us to give money to charities that have charity status under section 501 (c) (3) of the tax code.

Either NGF is cynically sending these letters, so that they can show their clients that they are doing something (knowing full well that we CANNOT provide funding, or they do not know their business. Either way, it's not a good story. There are a bunch of these outfits, and they should be shut down.

Well, I have become a scam STATISTIC! I should've checked out NGF BEFORE giving them $2, 950. to start a grant search for me. It is now 1-1/2 yrs. later, and I no longer recieve ANY communications from them. They were originally listed with the local BBB with an A+ rating. As of 8-24-10, the are now an F and no longer a part of the BBB due to complaints and non responses to them. They are a bunch of fakes, can't write an LOI for the life of them, etc. They got the spelling and location of my business constantly wrong, despite my constant corrections. They would NOT produce the names or results of the companies that they had sent my LOI to either. I COULD'VE done a better job than they did, and I told them so. Every time I called I got a different "account representative", and then no more phone calls or e-mails from them... Now when I call their phone #, the "mailbox is full", and it hangs up. Their website is no longer accessible, and I am afraid I have been ROBBED! Now I have to try to do something legal, IF there is anything that can be done, and keep reminding myself that you CAN'T GET BLOOD OUT OF A TURNIP, and that's ALL they are is a BUNCH OF VEGETABLES!

NEVER NEVER NEVER give this company ANY money unless you have money to lose. They write their own testimonials and they SCAM everyone out of their money. THEY ARE THIEVES. he best thing you can do when they call you or when they contact you back with your "research results" is HANG UP THE PHONE ON THEM! Do not even let them give you their bullsh-t excuses-just tell them to take you off their list and HANG UP THE PHONE! This is the best advice you will receive from ANYONE this year! how can ANYONE say good things about this company? They rip people off, the don't pay there workers and they never get anyone a grant. Peeps, wake up! They don't know there ### from a hole in the ground. "You are buying a box of paper and stamps for a couple thousand dollars" is what they say on there "sales floor". You are better off putting your money in your fireplace and lighting it on fire, and if you dont believe me, then send them your hard earned dollars and watch for yourself. At least if you put the money in your fireplace you will get a little bit of heat from it, maybe save on your heating bill for a day, which is more than you will get from this screwball company.

Im a business owner in Indiana and have purchased the do it yourself program from this company. Although I was hesitant and a a bit weary at the time I believe I made the correct choice of purchasing this program. I t not only provides you with information that most grant writers would charge an arm and a leg for but the database of funders is impresively extensive ... I only wish it was a bit more user friendly to be frank, but overall i think its going to be benificial because im not only going after small grants for my business but a personal and collage grant for my 19 year old daughter through the same program.

I am a small business in Wisconsin, which has been in business for 22 yrs. I need a grant to stay afloat. National Growth say they have designed a do-it-yourself, step by step funding program to ensure my grant funding success. This program will grant me access to their Client Portal. Of course there is a $400.00 charge for this sharing of their secrets on how to succesfully apply for grant funds. I was wondering if anyone else got these figures and information, and how reliable this program really is. They make it sound easy, but I have had my accountant work on one before, that I got from another grant company. Luckily, it only cost me $70 for a packet that I had to buy. It was very complicated and ended up my contact at the grant company told us to go to another souce for writing for a grant.

I decided to try National Growth Funding after talking to them. My business has an interesting potential for schools and universities and that was the slant on getting some grant money.

I signed a deal in May 2009, paid some money (I negotiated a much lower upfront fee than what they wanted..but there was some upfront fee). I deemed it worth the risk. I had the initial conversation with them on my business, and then waited. I finally got a letter of intent in September. Like Susan Doyle, the LOI was pretty poorly written. Since it was faxed to me, I marked it up and send it back...and online collaboration process would have been much easier and faster. Finally got that done, then more waiting.

In December of 2009 I got another round of LOIs. This time it was not as poorly written, but still had some changes.

I then called in January on what could be done to speed the process up. I got a call back from one of their grant writing managers who tried to convince me that I needed to create a non-profit foundation and that entity is the entity that should be going for the grant for a variety of reasons. It actually sounds reasonable and plausible...but the fee to do this work was about 9 times what I have already paid. Sounds like a scam...but I am unsure as I have not paid them the additional money to go their "preferred" route. Every time I ask for a reference of someone that has gotten money, they say it is illegal to provide that because it is a financial transaction...this could be true...

The do call me back when I call...so it is not like they are just there to take your money and then you do not hear from them. The process could be so much more streamlined. I would have written the LOI in 2 hours the day after I paid them money if I knew it would take so long.

So...I guess I am still waiting to see if my money was well spent.

Nothing is going to happen until we actually write to the BBB, and the attorney General of Texas and our state of residence. I was promised a refund but never got it, my attorney drafted letter to the person who promised the refund. If I don't get it next week I will contact the BBB and the State authorities. If we all did that, they would already be out of business. No point complaining to each other, we must follow the legal chanels.

This company, National Growth Funding is a scam company, I worked for them in las vegas, doing grant research but getting paid from a company called National Grant Writing Authority, I know that they have never had any clients funded, I know that they have had a name change. I know that they bounce their payroll checks every week. I know that they withheld child support money from me, and never paid it. And I know, that if you want to use NGF or NGWA, that you should know, they are one and the same. They are both under the same ownership of a man who hides himself so his mommy wont know he's a bad person. What I know, is that if you use this company, you will regret it... don't believe me? Type into google National Grant Writing Authority, type in National Growth Funding... see how many scam warnings their are, type in toys r us.. see how many scams they have... At this point, if you spend your money on this company, your really just shooting yourself in the foot. Don't waste your time, don't even bother. If you've paid money to this company, you should know that they do give out refunds, fight for your money, its worth it... what they do is send out this letter of intent to non profits, who usually donate to other non profits and generally in the fields of health care, research for health care, and child education, and for that there are usually some pretty stiff qualifications, and chances are, if you don't know about it already, you don't qualify. This letter of intent is worthless as far as getting grants goes, most non profits require that a company signs up with them, LONG before they will ever even consider them for a grant or read a letter of intent... now they have about 800 clients between the two companies, and each of those clients gets a round of letters sent out every couple months, take 800, multiply that by 10 letters per round, and average in about round 5 for everyone, that's how many letters of crap they sent out to non profits, who either never respond, respond by saying quit writing us, or call your company to tell you that your getting scammed. You're being lied to, I suggest recording every call made with these people, and going online and looking up all the "facts" they give you. Its a big hoax, they do just enough to not get sued, cause remember, the only thing they offered you, was a letter of intent written, and then the rest of the processes if your accepted. Ask yourself, how could they know that you could get funded.. .if they never signed you up with the non profits in the first place... And on a final note, be sure to ask them for the 990 tax info sheets, as these are public and disclose all information pertaining to grant money being given out. Non profits are required to file this tax form each year, and it is made public kn0wledge, there is no privacy act that pertains to grants, look it up online, there is a privacy act, but it has nothing to do with withholding information pertaining to getting or giving grants. Ask for the info... Demand it... because a real grant writer, would give you that info in a heart beat, because they would want to prove how good they are at getting grants. National Grant Writing Authority and National Growth Funding, higher people how have at some point in their life got a grant for someone, then at which point both companies can claim, that they have got grants for people, because their employees have. Its sick, and you need to know the facts.

I must admit, I fell for it! What's to do now? I am going to ask for a refund but it would probably be a miracle. Next I am planning to write to the BBB (I did check with them, by the way, and there were no complaint!) and the Attorneys General for California, and Ohio where I live. Has anyone done that? Anybody wants to join me? This site should be on page one. I never got far enough in Google to find it!

Some people just don't understand BUSINESS! Wich is why I can see and read these postings as a waste of time. I choose to waste my time to alert business owners that you can't belive everything you hear and read to be true. I have recived a grant before I was introduced to this company NGF and I made the decision to hire them to secure a grant for me. My time is valuable so there for useing them is the best decsion for me. If they are not for you then move on SUCKERS but don't waste your time talking about someone you have no idea about. I mean come on wern't we all taught better than that.

I have recently recieved the same calls and have had information sent to me via fax. Sounds very shady to me, they call me and do not leave messages. Thier contract looks like it has been put together by High School kids. Do not have a good feeling about this company. I told them I thought the fee was too high and they offered to reduce it once and then again. Do not trust them.
