Partrequest.com reviews and complaints
ripping off
When I paid $3.99 to search for a used car part I did receive several emails but only one company had the right part and all others were like advertising. The one which claimed to have right part charged $250, almost like dealer's price, while the market fair price ranges between $10 and $50 (including shipping). I did not claim refund because I knew that...

Appears to be a scam. They charge for a parts request with a guarantee that you will receive at least two 'responses' in XX hours. I paid and received two spam emails. I called both and they said yes they get the requests from partrequest.com, but they don't sell those parts. I went to partrequest.com to claim the refund and their site returns a "Page does not exist." (404) error when I click on the Refund link. I sent them an email that I will file a reversal of charges with my bank if I didn't get a reply from them.Sounds/looks like a scam so far.

I agree. Total scam. There is no notice that they will charge you for the lead until after you sign up, and then there is no way to remove your info and delete the account. I never gave them my bank or Paypal information, though, and when I called the customer service number I only got a recording telling me to contact them online, which is impossible. Now I'm getting calls from guys with south asian accents saying they have the part I'm looking for, but they don't and won't tell me they're getting their "leads" from partrequest.com.
They are a scamming waste of time... no where do they tell you they are charging you for the service until after they get your personal information. scam>
All they do is send your information to resellers who may or may not have the part and if they do, they don't provide the price. Each quote I got was nothing more than spam and now I cant close the stupid partsrequest.com account.
If partrequest.com is legit then respond to the "page does not exist" error message. Give an alternate contact method to that customer. This one unresolved complaint will keep me from doing business with you.
PartRequest.com is not a scam. We make every effort to help people locate parts and sometimes we're not successful. We offer a full refund for any dissatisfied customers, no questions asked.
I 've received two replies so far, one for the wrong part from an ebay seller and the other one from a scammer
SARATOGA CLASSICS & THE PARTS BROKER with many complaints found on a web search I undertook .
