Pillar to Post Stay far away from this company

I had Pillar To Post Home Inspection come and Inspected a house that i was buying. My boyfriend and I both asked him if there was any mold in the attic, because he inspected that before we got to the house. He said no it looks good up there. We said great. He would not go under the house because there was some water under there. So we had that taken care of .

He came back and went under the house and said it looks good. He didn’t tell us that there where rats and rat droppings everywhere. We had to have the whole crawl space cleaned out. The whole crawl space clean out cost us 2000.00 dollars. I was having PUD come out and put new insulation in the house, because i was on a low income program where they do a whole house Weatherization. It is though Snohomish County.

They where here for six hours and said i can’t have it done at this time because there is so much mold up in the attic. I said no. I would have never got this house if it had mold. I have a lot of health problems and that is one of the things i told the inspector. I called him and he did have a mold person come out. After the report he said he is not going to do anything. The mold company said it will cost 5000.00 to get rid of it. I said it is are Inspectors fault that I have this house, because i would have never got a house with mold. Now I can’t get it fixed because of the cost thanks to the Inspector.. I’m at a lost!

DON’T EVER HAVE PILLAR TO POST HOME INSPECTION DO YOUR HOUSE…
HE DAD SO MANY THINGS WRONG!

I used the same company in Morris County NJ. Guess what? We have termites in the house we just purchased. We moved into the house in October and have termites in the middle of the winter swarming in our living room. I'm not sure how we passed a termite inspection, but I'm beyond pissed.

Pillar to Post house inspection

Hired to do inspection on home I contracted to buy. Failed to send me termite report which revealed termites and recommended fumigation. Never even called to let me know what report said. Moved in and termites began to swarm 2 months later. My daughter woke up with termites in her bed. When I called to let them know what was happening, all I got was an apology, no offer to compensate me for anything, no acceptance of responsibility for failure to read report and inform me of results. Careless and negligent.

I mentioned it to the inspector and all he stated was we only check what we can see. Well, that's funny because both termite companies who have been to our house stated there were visible mud tunnels.

Pillar to Post Terrible Just Terrible

What a TERRIBLE experience with this company and Ron Costigan. My house was the one being inspected and boy did I feel violated!

I can't agree more! They came through my home today for the buyer's inspection and left a used Kleenex on the counter not a foot from a trash can. Left all my lights on. Left the doors to the crawl space under the house wide open. Had the audacity to ask my neighbors to watch my contained dog because he was making noise. Someone lounged around in my ten year old daughter's bed! They moved my one month old son's baby furniture and just left it in the middle of the floor. Didn't bother to put it back.

High on my list of complaints is the buyer's agent. A Sotheby's agent! She allowed my home to be treated this way, and left in disarray.

Do not trust anyone who would walk into someone's home and leave it thusly. Pillar to Post and Sotheby's in the Denver metro area are unprofessional at the least. Good thing they are bonded. I feel like I need to check for theft.
