unathorized charges
I got my monthly phone bill $10 higher than usually I checked it and surprise a $9.99 dollar charge for stupid predicto company what I remember is I was in yahoo and I saw a little window on the side about IQ test they asked my phone number thats all I remember few days later I got a message asking about what I tought about some celibrities, are they going to divorce or would they stay togehter something like that I erased it, after that I remember I recieved 1 or 2 more messages I erased them that was it they never asked my permission to get the membership or anything, I called this predicto company they said they needed the phone's owner permission wich is my girlfriend to cancel the account HOW COME THEY DIDN'T NEED THE LINE'S OWNER PERMISSION TO CREATE THE ACCOUNT THAS STUPID, I called our phone company to caomplaint and see if they could help me they said they couldn't they were sorry I called back predicto I was really upset and they said they where going to refund my money but that I was being charged for next month's membership and that I might get another charge on my phone bill but they would sen a check on my gilfriends name I know $9.99 is not to much money but I got tired of all the scamers out there taking advantage of people PLEASE SOME ONE WITH POSIBILITIES TO DO SOMETHING HEL US!

Unauthorized charges on my credit card
When i went on line to check my credit card statement last week i saw 150. 00 woth of charges stating sprint download. I called sprint which showed no charges and stated that they only charge my sprint account and not my credit card. The sprint rep told me it was from predicto.com. I never heard of them and sprint told me i had to report fraud to my creditcard. I called my credit card company and had to close out my account and get a new card. They are still in the process of disputing the charges. They also told me the found 2 other charges on 2 prior months. The 150. 00 worth of charges were in 1 day when i was at a dr. 's appt. Where i had my phone turned off. I would like to know what can be done about this company since i never signed up with them and do not know how the obtained my credit card #. The only place that had my creditcard # was sprint from when i upgraded my phone last month. I am livid since it took 2 days dealing with sprint before anyone could tell me what the charges were since they were not on my sprint bill. I think someone at sprint used my credit card. I got that idea from the sprint rep i spoke to. I have filed a complaint with the fcc on sprint and predicto.

I recently typed in my number to pass the survey on a website to watch at UFC video... then i recieve 4 different text from 4 different companies *(which are all probably from the same scam artest in their private house) saying that I registered with all of them for 9.99$? now i probably owe 40 dollars now. And they said they were going to refund me my money in the mail, which i highly HIGHLY doubt they will do. I AM PISSSED! these people are SCAMMMERSS. THEY DESERVE TO BE PUT IN JAIL OR DEAD for all i know. I requested to speak to their manager, who sounds like the same lady from all three companies and I can hear dogs in the back ground. it sounds like they are doing this ### from their home. WE NEED TO PRESS CHARGES. they cant get away with this. Atleast im going to ### at them about how bad their life must suck to scam innocent people for Hundreds of thousands of dollars all together. DONT be mistaken for their nice customer service attitude. they are CRIMINALS. And they get away with this because no one wants to pursue going to court over 9.99$. WHERE are the lawyers on the internet when i need them to read this... *COMPANIES include - Solow, FunMobile, Predicto.com, Ringtonetop.com** PLEASE HELP. WE NEED TO BRING THESE PEOPLE DOWN!

The PredictoMobile service is billed on our subscribers’ mobile phone bills. We do not and cannot accept credit cards for payment. (We believe that the only way our charges could appear on your credit card bill is if you have your cell phone bill automatically charged to you credit card.) Predicto uses an industry best practice double opt in sign-up process which virtually eliminates unauthorized or accidental sign-ups.

Fraud and scam
I noticed today that I had a 9.99 charge on my spouse's cell phone. My spouse barely uses his cell phone, only answering my calls. He usually logs about 100 minutes or less per cycle. I call Verizon who said he had subscribed to the service by going responding to a text and that I needed to speak with the company directly.
After Verizon connected me the sales person on the phone tried to kiss me off by telling me that not only did my spouse respond to a text, but he went on the internet and entered a pin, #16327. My husbands phone does not even get the internet. And he certainly did not go on the internet and subscribe to a psychic/prediction service.
I Googled the company and apparently I am not their only victim. When I told the salesperson I would be contacting their Attorney General, I was connected to a supervisor that said I would receive a full refund in 7-10 days.
I will wait two weeks and see what happens. We need to Class Action this Corporation, they need to pay for victimizing so many cell phone customers.

This company is swindling the consumer. Our family uses 5 phones, we were charged on 2 different phones in one month $9.99 each for this rip-off service! It was never ordered, never authorized, never wanted AND we are forced to pay it on our bill. The company refused to refund the money stating that it clearly stated a charge would be imposed if the service was used (via a txt message to my children, all they had to do was respond). My children remembered seeing the txt but didn't know what it was. This is ridiculous! I have put a block on our phones so that it won't happen again.
Someone, take this company out business, start a class action. Even if I get $.01 back, it would be better than having a company like this around. Scam.
We were charged the $9.99 fee for the service that was never authorized. Predicto claims that you have to enter a pin number to activate the service. Well we never entered any number and were enroled anyway. The customer service person we contacted said there was nothing she could do to refund the charges. She transfered us to a supervisor who said the same thing. After threatening them with legal action the supervisor all of a sudden was able to refund me the charges for the two months by mailing a check. We will see if the check ever comes. In addition, I contacted Sprint who said they would take the charges off my bill and but a block on our account to keep any companies like this from charging us. If some one wants to persue this company and get them to stop these unauthorized charges you can start with the Division of Corporations for New York and maybe contact the County Commissioners for Erie County, NY to put an end to this

I've been around and around with Centennial Wireless. They say this is MY problem (I've been receiving charges since March!) and that I need to cancel and try to get my money back. Here's my problem. . .I didn't solicit this, didn't sign anything and I'm told they simply get your cell phone number and send a couple of texts, then bill Centennial! Shouldn't the FCC be getting involved with this?!?!? How dare Centennial take some fly by night company's word for it that I'm a subscriber and just arbitrarily add the charge to my cell phone bill! I see lots of others are having this problem. . .what can we do?
My husband recieved an unsolicited text from these bozo's, promising him a chance to with $25 if he predicted the winner of the grammys. That was the ENTIRE content of the text message.
When I received the cell phone bill this month, there was a $9.99 charge. I called the company and they claimed that he had to have gone through an 'extensive' verification process in order to have this charge appear, so there was no way they could refund the charge.
I wasn't taking no for an answer...I demanded they show me proof of the 'extensive verification process' so that I could verify that someone did in fact authorize this charge. She tried to say that she could send me the 'terms and agreements' of the service, but I argued that just because they have terms to their service doesn't 'prove' that anyone from this number actually authorized the charges or agreed to the terms! I threatened to report this sham of a company to the FCC if she couldn't product this 'proof'.
She then said that we had replied to the text message (received from 654654) and that was how we subscribed. When I pointed out that 1) simply texting back is not an 'extensive' authorization process and 2) there was nothing in the text message that indicated a charge would be incurred, she quickly put me on hold.
Wow...it was a miracle...somehow she was able to contact her supervisor, explain the situation and get authorization to 'go against their policy in order to make sure I was a satisfied customer' and provide me with a refund, all within 30 seconds after putting me on hold! So, now, I'm waiting patiently for the check that is 'in the mail'. We'll see if it shows up.
BTW: I totally reported them to the FCC anyway. Moral of the story: If you do get scammed by these crooks DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! Don't listen to their line about their 'policies' or 'terms and conditions'...make them operate under YOUR terms and conditions and hopefully you can be refunded. REPORT THEM TO THE FCC so that things like this will become illegal!
As a user of Gaia online, I thought it would be ok to sign up for this service to get Gaia Cash as part of the Gaia Cash Offers scheme and cancel my subscription straight away. It says you have to be 18. I am not 18, I'm 14, but I signed up anyway because I thought it would be ok. Now I have spent lots of money trying to send a text to 61400 to cancel my subscription but it does not work. I keep emailing them but they reply with the same message: text to 61400. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! IT'S ALREADY CHARGED ME LOTS AND I'M GOING TO GET INTO SO MUCH TROUBLE! HELP ME PLEASE!
I had apparently signed up for this back in March, which I never did, and was charged 9.99 a month since then. I called to complain and get a refund, and all they gave me was 3 months back from what I was charged. I didn't sign up for it and I was told by my cell company that they usually refund back all charges. Well after having to threaten them a few times with a formal complaint they finally gave me three months back. But I am still not over the fact that I supposedly signed up for this, I don't even remember getting a confirmation text. Just a load of crap, I wish I could get back my other 4 months of "service" that I didn't sign up for.
Ok, I am a T-mobile user and was billed in Aug.29 of $9.99.
When I sign up for Jhoos, the ad pops up to let me enter the phone number. It is just in the registration step for Jhoos. After entering the pin, I got message with all short words saying a $9.99 MAY apply. Then there was bill sent to my T-mobile account.
What the hell is American government doing? There're complains against predicto all through the year, and they still scamming the customers.
This company is charging me $9.99 per month and keeps sending me emails that I have to pay for, and it was all unsolicited.
This PREDICTO company is a SCAM, FRAUD, and crook! They can't read - they do not understand a simple NO! They also laugh at THREATS! Simply put - I did not order this "service" - there is no "signed contract" and further I REFUSE TO PAY THESE HOODLUMS. Folks - you need to pay attention to your bills - I CAN NOT SAY THIS ENOUGH. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF CROOKS OUT THERE WHO ARE MAKING MILLIONS OFF OF SUCKERS BECAUSE THEY DON'T WATCH WHAT THEY ARE BEING CHARGED FOR.
This company has the right to CHALLENAGE the above statement - or write me personally. But, liars and still liars no matter what color their spots are.

Started receiving text messages months ago. Had no idea what it was nor that we were being charged for it. I looked up the company, and know for a fact we never signed up for this service.
I have no idea how they go the number, or we were in fact being charged for this ridiculous game. This should be illegal. I called the company and told them to take my number off their list, and I received a text message saying they would.
Beware of this company and if you see any ridiculous texts coming through on your cell, investigate!

It is reported on my At & T cell bill that I ordered something on 1/18/09 from "Predicto". The charge they made is
for $9.99. I ordered no such thing, but received about 15 text messages...

I was charged for four months (I should have checked my phone bill more carefully and I do now) of Predicto when I never signed up for it! After I called their customer service line I was told they would cancel my "service" and no longer charge me. I never used their service and told them this. They told me I signed up for it, texted them to register my phone and logged on to their website and that's why I was being charged for their "service". I did none of these things but they kept claiming they had records of me doing this. I requested a refund multiple times and they denied, so I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Not surprisingly Predicto already has a bunch of claims against them, so I filed one and then they sent me back the money they stole from me. If you have been robbed by them go to the Better Business Bureau website and file a complaint (its really easy and takes 20 minutes at the most) so nobody else gets swindled by Predicto and their "service".

I never signed up for this service and I am appalled that they have been charging me for a service I know nothing about..my husband is very upset. Talk about scam!

Predicto keeps TEXTING me, and I have nothing to do with them, and they're charging me 9.99 month
Predicto has been charging me between 9.99 and 29.99 a months for over a year for something I did not authorize. I have been very ill, and did not notice these charges until last week. What can I do to get my money back?
This company thinks that if someone goes to one web site, then it jumps to another site and they try to steel money from people. I feel that money is to hard to come by these days, and to have a company steel from people. Then, when you try to get the money back they act like its your fault, and it takes 8-10 weeks to finally get it back after it takes them just a few seconds to take it from you.I feel that this is very wrong.
I do not have texting ability on my phone but i keep getting text messages from Predicto @654654 at a rate of $9.99 for each message. I have tried to reply but I keep getting the message that it is unable to send. I do not want this service and never ordered this service. How can a company charge you for something you never ordered and then not let you cancel the service?
after asking several time they just keep texting me and trying to charge me for their wervice. I never agreed to anything. I just want them to stop the text and go drop off the end of the earth, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of this text junk.
