RCI Management timeshare sales

On November 21st 2017 I was contacted by Matt Dowling from RCI Management with an offer to sell 3 weeks of time I had not used with my Disney Timeshare. Disney has some sort of an arrangement with RCI for points at associated hotels around the world so I thought everything was legit. They already had all my information so after he told me it would take 30 days and that I would be receiving $2300.00 per week for the three weeks I had, I thought it was OK. The catch was that I would have to pay his company a fee of $1797.00 to complete the transaction. I thought that spending $1797..00 to get back $6900.00 was still a good deal so I agreed.

Matt sayed in constant communication untill the paperwork was completed and then... nothing. I called him every week to chack on the progress and got the story that they were still looking for a buyer. I thought that strange because he initially told me that they already had a buyer and it would only take 30 days to complete the entire process.

Then he stopped answering my calls. I called a total of 23 times over the next 7 weeks and left multiple messages which were never returned.

I reviewed the paperwork and found an email address and sent a written complaint with no responce. I called another number listed on the forms he gave me and finally (after several attempts) spoke with Laurent Jones in customer service. He assured me that there was some sort of mix up and that would straighted it out right away. I asked him to send me an email confermation of my problem. Well guess what? Never received it. Waited a few days and tried calling the customer service number that I called to speak to Laurent Jones and now no one answers, you can only leave a message.

I wish I had checked scam report web-site before I agreed to this deal because I see that other people had the same problem.

BEWARE of RCI Management! It is a complete RIPOFF! After they get your money you will never hear from the again!

I will now contact the Better Businees Bureau to file a complaint.

I will also post on as many social media site as possible and warn others about this company.

I rent my timeshare at Barefoot'N in the keys at Old Town every other year with RCI Management and I have never had a problem. I receive my money in a timely manner. So far I have had a pleasant experience with this company and I would recommend it.

RCI Management GREAT COMPANY

i have nothing but good things to say about RCI MGT i have been with them for 3 years i have a property at summer bay resort and i have received my check in full for the amount that i rented for. i dont understand why these people have so many negative things to say about them. im pretty sure there are more people out there with positive things to say . My agent Louis Martin has been very profesional and calls me every year about 6 months in advance to see if i will be willing to rent out!

I was contacted on March 15 by a representative that led me to believe that there was a pending conference for which RCI needed to rent our three weeks of timeshare for $2300 per week, netting us over $5000 after the advertising fee. There was no discussion that the fee would be withdrawn from my checking account prior to the sale.

I was told to await a conference call at 1:00 on 3/23, but never received a call at that time, neither central time nor pacific time. I called the numbers given to me by the representative and most times had to leave voice mails that have yet to be responded to. Today a customer service receptionist told me that all representatives were busy but she would have someone call me back within one hour. Two and a half hours later I have yet to receive a call, despite my leaving multiple voicemails at the three numbers I was given.

I believe this is a total scam and RCI Management never intended to do anything but drain my bank account.

I totally disagree..glad you've had a good experience. But they lied and mislead us. if they are so great, why do they have to grossly misrepresent what they are selling, why do they tell you one thing, so when you call them on it their reply is "well your contract states ..bla, bla, bla." basically the saleman tells you one thing, but it doesn't matter in the end. If you read the fine print of the contract..reads something like, any verbal agreements or anything said by the salesman holds no water to what this document states..come on, they are scam artists. why is their contract so vague that one needs a lawyer to decifer it?why have a salesman represent a company if he is not selling the same thing you end up with..it is crazy, they have been found out and I'm sure it won't be long before they go under. If a business is based on dishonest practices it's only a matter of time.

I PAID MY $1299.00 IN NOVEMBER TO RCI MANAGEMET TO RENT OR SELL MY TIME SHARE. APRIL SEAD IT SHOULD TAKE ABOUT A MONTH TO FIND A BUYER WELL HERE IT IS 11 MONTHS LATER AND NO CONTACT
ALL THE PHONE NUMBERS I HAVE ARE NO LONGER IN SERVICE ( ADD ME TOO THE SCAMMED LIST)
