CLAIM
Dear sir, my name Rita mohanty, my insurance policy no:[protected], policy period 15/04/2011 to 14/04/2010. i have registered a claim on 08/06/2011 for my car ford fiesta bearing registration no: UP14AP9752, got accident on the way while on transition to Mumbai from Delhi, at Agra the customer care of TATA AIG assure me to send a surveyor to nearest service center Called Bhavana ford Nerul(E) and i taken my car to the said garage but two days no one attend the garage, ultimately i return my Vehicle to my resident and again called them on 22/06/2011 they assured me to send their surveyor but no one attend the complain, next on 29/06/2011 and 30/06/2011 i following through on phone no body response my call, when i call them on 06/07/2011 the Representative suggest me to we are not repair your vehicle you can do what ever you want, kindly help me to resolve my problem.

SERVICE COUPONS RELATED ISSUE

This is regarding my issue related to service coupons. Below are the details:
I renewed my car's policy with Tata AIG in Oct 2010 as I was promised 04 service coupons but have not received so far (10th May 2011). Earlier, I had car insurance with Bharati Axa and I was been offered bonus to renew insurance with Bharati again, but I decided to got with Tata AIG as I was getting service coupons, which were of more value to me, but never received those coupons. So far, I have called up not less than 15 times to Tata AIG and the regional agent but have not received any response from any of them. Although, they have called me a fgew times but no resolution is been provided to me. Every time, I get a call from Tata AIG, they tell me that they have pressurised local agent (who sold me policy) to resolve the issue and when I get a call from local agent, then they say that they have asked Tata AIG to give them coupons but have not received yet and start saying bad things about company like Tata AIG stopped giving coupons suddenly and now they are being bugged by their customers, etc. FYI, one of the complaint number with TATA AIG is : [protected], which is open since February and have not made ANY PROGRESS yet. I had a word with Ravi Kumar, one of the manager in Tata AIG customer care office many times (Contact Number : 022-[protected], Extn. : 3052) regarding this issue. He tried to help me, but not complaint department. Ritu (lady who sold policy to me) is also getting rude now. She gave me her contact number and asked me to contact her whenever the need be and wanted the call to be closed anyhow. This kind of inappropriate and unprofessional response from both (Tata AIG and agent), I am been bound to take further actions. Please look into the matter as the issue is been pending for more than now 06 months now and cannot wait any longer. Regional agent is asking me to cooperate and is saying that they will give me huge discount next time but nothing can be done this time as company (Tata AIG) has betrayed them. She mentioned that many of their customers has complained about this and Tata AIG stopped giving service coupons but now we have no explanations. So, now, you have to figure out where is the problem and who is at fault. Kindly take corrective measures to figure it out and provide me either service coupon or refund money back.
I tried to share the issue from your website as well, but I am getting an error (as mentioned in the attached file), which was again very irritating. I am not sure, why Tata AIG is not giving proper attention to the customers, especially after selling out the policy. I am saying this as I have experienced this – MORE THAN 15 CALLS TO TATA AIG – ASKED FOR SUPERVISOR 12 TIMES - EVERYTIME PROMISED A CALL BACK - GOT CALL BACK JUST 02 TIMES OUT OF 12 TIMES - IS THAT THE WAY TO SERVICE YOUR CUSTOMERS, IF YES, THEN I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE TO RENEW POLICY WITH TATA AIG, IF NO, THEN PLEASE TAKE ACTIONS AGAINST CULPRITS.
How HSBC and Tata AIG cheat people
Recently I've got a really bad experience from Tata AIG... I hold a credit card of HSBC, one day I got a call from HSBC person giving an information about this health care insurance from TATA AIG, it was supposed to be different than mediclaim and bla bla bla... I declined the offer from HSBC, however the guy on phone played the first trick, he told me that they will send me information papers about the policies and then I can decide whether to take the policy or not within 14 days of receiving the papers... I made a mistake by saying OK to send the papers, then the call was transferred to TATA AIG executive, who got the necessary information from me...
During this call with TATA AIG, I realized that I've been trapped by this trick and now actually I was availing the policy... At that time what I thought was, let's take the policy (something like which I anyway needed) and go through the documents and as the HSBC guy told me, I can anyway cancel it in 14 days...
At the end of the conversation with TATA AIG (by the way, all this conversation was being recorded for confirmation), the executive told me that only changing the policy level could be done in 14 days without any charges and if I wanted to cancel the policy then I will have to pay Rs.99 per person (I was going for myself, my father and my mother)... here I realized that I was being cheated in daylight! but I could not do anything at that moment...
I decided that when the papers arrive, I will cancel the 3 policies and pay Rs.297... so I called the TATA AIG helpline numbers to cancel this... And here came the big blow... now the TATA AIG executive told me that there was no clause at all which said about the Rs.99 per person charges for cancellation, on the contrary I will be charged 25% of the annual premium amount (which worked out to be about Rs.2200)...
When I told him to refer the recorded earlier conversation, he held the call for 2 minutes and came up with a typical cheater's statement "There is no mention of Rs.99 per person for cancellation"...
I am feeling really disgusted "How can I be made so fool"... but in reality, these companies are not fooling... they are "CHEATING"...
So please spread the word and do not fall into such traps.

I was offered a life insurance policy through HSBC credit card.i opted for it and gave the verbal acceptance to auto debit the premium from my credit card.
recently i broke up the relationship with HSBC so i called up to discontinue the policy from Tata AIG but they suggest me that i can pay the premium through any other credit card so i gave them the details of my other credit card from CITI bank.in this process to my surprise i came to know that TATA AIG is charging me for a policy which i never took from them as it was for Some Mr. Vasoya and premium was going from my credit card. i did not notice that because Tata AIG offered me another polict in addition to my base policy, so i thought that payment was for the additional policy.but acctually the payment done till date of Rs:104610 was for some Mr. Vasoya which is unknown for me.
i have logged a complain and the complain number is :6418423 and the disputed policy number is :BTM10000001671., premium was paid on monthaly basis from Sept 2008.
Now i want the amount and intrest paid for the amount as it was a case of 420 with me.
please suggest and let me know the legal steps.

I just received a similar call and even i showed intrest as it was just a matter of Rs99, i am happy that i did not pay.
I feel sorry for the author of this article, but in many ways he would be helping other guys!
It has happened with me also. Really frustrated that TATA AIG is doing like this.
I got a similar Tata Aig-HSBC policy which was over on Dec'08. Since then TataAig agents have been calling me from Chennai/Mumbai/Blore locations repeatedly (almost once every day) and disturbing like anything. They made my life hell.
I have told them that I am not interested in increasing the duration of the policy or taking a new one but who listens.
They mostly call me from [protected] and [protected].
Can any body tell me what legal action I can take to save my ###?

The same happened with me. These TATA AIG guys called me and told me as this is a scheme only for HSBC credit card holder. I denied instantly but he told me that you read the document first and then decide to continue or not. Latter when i read the document i tried to cancel it but could'nt cancel. The money was credited from my HSBC credit card and now i am regreting. So dont fall under such traps.
my self ounahmed dangra i was employee of tata aig life surat...they have recruited me as manager...i gave my 100% in company but they had not provided me any kind of induction or training to treat the customer or wt kind of product they have...they told me that jst go in market sell this policies by ur references...now after completing 1 month i had resigned from the company they are saying that they will deduct my salary as per law...and i have to wait 2 more month to recieve this adjusted amount...now i want to know which HR takes and which process tekes 2 months to generates the salary...my point is that give my adjusted salary after deducting ur charges but by this month only...my friends u r right they are not making fool...they are CHEATING...
You are right same happened with me also. I can't understand why HSBC is spoiling it's image by partnering in this fraud.
i got married on 23-11-2006.after marriage i had applied for a change of nominee from my mothers name to my wifes name.it has not yet been implemented.i have taken a pension plan of tata aig.

I have received the above policy document giving contract conditions etc. The policy was taken through your Agent Code [protected] Mr. Pawankumar Chandradev and the office code is AH01.
On scrutiny of the policy document sent to me I observe that the conditions laid down are quite different than what your agent has told me. Your agent had advised me that even illness requiring 3 days or more hospitalisation for any ailment can be reimbursed by the Tata AIG. However, from the policy I observe that only critical illness and death are included in the policy. This is quite contrary to the conditions stated by your agent. Your agent had not obtained my signature on the form giving details of different plan and had, it appears, signed himself. If he had obtained my signature on this document, I would have come to know the exact benefit offered by Tata AIG. I would request you to kindly clarify these matters immediately as I don't think the present policy offered to me now is not suitable for my purpose. Besides, I also observe that the General Amendment form also does not contain my signature. These things are highly irregular and I am constrained to bring these matters to your knowledge for remedial action.
It is possible, I may be either required to change the plan or request you to cancel the policy and seek refund of the amount paid, depending on your reply. I shall look forward for your reply at the earliest to enable me take due action.

I am pursuing MBA full time program from ICFAI national college. I have done my SIP(summer internship program} from TATA AIG life insurance at Kanpur under the company guide Mr. ANUJ SHRIVASTAVA. I had given 10 recruitments & 4 policies of worth Rs.25000(one time policy).duration of my SIP was( april2008-jult08) but till now, my candidates whom I recruited during SIP didn't get any training & exam date, whenever I asked Mr.ANUJ SHRIVASTAVA for training and exam dates he told me that there is no examination schedule from IRDA side at right now.these recruitment I had given tn the first week of may.I am in big problem, pls do something for me because they all wants a specific reply & he also didn’t provide me stipend, my commission & PPO for that he promised with me. I live in allahabad so it is difficult for me to reach there .He also made false promises with my faculty guide Mr. AVINASH CHAND (faculty of Kanpur)you can ask the details with him also. Pls solve my matter as soon as possible.

On the 19 Jun 2007 I had received one call from TATA AIG Executive saying that as you have canceled one policy that was issued to you by HSBC. We have to refund your money, I said ok but he said for refunding your money, you need to attained one fresh call for new policy so that we will cancel it with new policy number but you don't have to pay nothing for...
