Thriveli Scamming & Misleading

Thriveli/ Platinum Training Solutions/ Focus/ Lightwave Builder are all involved in misleading and scamming thousands of dollars from people who are trying to start-up or improve their business training. I was scammed out of over 3, 000. U.S. dollars for an alleged coaching/mentoring program to start my own online store. Only the first month was fine: 4 coaching calls (1 per week) and I did ALL the work researching from scratch niche markets etc. After this there were an assortment of problems (contradictory advice/ servers being too slow/ logging in problems (they had to keep resetting my login codes etc.) ALL OF WHICH SLOWED DOWN MY PROGRESS. But the final nail in the coffin came from one of their many affiliates (LIGHTWAVE BUILDER) who wanted the web-hosting fees (50 bucks a month) without me even having the chance to set-up my web store! They blocked me from OVER ONE MONTH from accessing the their Builder Program until I complained to Platinum T.
As I saw that this process is dragging on...I asked for a partial refund from PLATINUM (who refused). I needed my money back in order to buy another service to set-up my site professionally. And more problems with LIGHTWAVE. I hate their builder...it's loaded with cliches. Lightwave also has the nerve to condescend DOWN to their clients. That's when I HIT THE ROOF!The LAST STRAW!
Send an urgent communication to the GOV. OF UTAH asking him to look into this matter...because hey! WE CANNUCKS IN CANADA aren't as Stupid as Portrayed on sit-coms. HOW ABOUT SOME BAD PRESS launched across Canada in the MEDIA?

Thriveli scammers & liars

MISLED 2. I was scammed by "Josh" as well back in June 2009. Signed up for the WEB-STORE set-up for over 3, 000. Started from scratch doing niche marketing research, keyword spreedsheet, finding suppliers, etc. ALL ON MY OWN with very little input from their "coaches" (who don't often agree one to another). A good example of this was when I got 2 versions on what to do about my homepage. Add to this confusion, calls not returned promptly (like the next day); constant busy signals on the phone and their servers being down (so that your can't access the site); etc. B.S. Then AFTER ONE MONTH OF THIS, can anyone who is a reasonable human being WONDER why I STILL DON'T HAVE A fully operational WebStore up? That's ALL the time they give you because their price DOES NOT INCLUDE the actual setting up of your site.
Enter their WEB-BUILDER affiliate who will now try to extract web & hosting fees (while your site has yet to be up). And the parade continues...give us MORE MONEY...they couldn't care less if you're so close to becoming homeless or that you now have debts because you bought into their SCAM. What really took the cake was when one of their low-life affiliates who called himself Jamie E. telephone harassed me for $1, 700 to get my site "optimized". He represented himself as an "affiliate of thriveli and of Lightwave Builder". Judging from a few KEYWORDS that he let slip out of his liar mouth, THIS WAS AN INSIDE JOB (due to the content of the info. that he revealed). This was my confirmation that I bought into a SCAM in the first place. Because when I refused to accept this crook's fax, he stopped the phone calls cold turkey. NO MONEY BACK anywhere in sight.
I'm cutting my losses (thank GOD I didn't pay anything to the their Web-Builder, either) AND I'm GETTING OUT. What I wish on THEM (all those who knowingly destroy peoples' lives) IS that they GET BACK WHAT THEY CAUSED ME 10 FOLD. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND (with an impact).

Thriveli Misleading information

I was contacted from a guy named John, he said I was picked out to be a part of an Ebay educational program, which would show me how become an ebay powerseller with a mentor and teachers, after they took my $935.00 they havent returned a phone call, an email and everytime i call, they are out of the office, i then got a call from a company called the Manhatten group which was going to show me how become a worldwide ecommerce seller for the low price of $4750.00, I asked him what this has to do with ThriveLI and ebay. he told me they are a close knit family and work together, Im not falling for anymore of Thrives scams and I didnt give anyone 47500.00, I just want my $935.00 returned for services not rendered or a big scam

Charge-backs work great with scammers like these. It's the scammer sales person you want to get your money back, not the fulfillment center. Contact your credit card company and have them reverse the charges - they mostly will, unless it's been over two months.

Thriveli THIRVELI LIES

I'm up for a class action suit. I signed up, put my $15, 100 on a cc and when I asked what I was getting for my money, did that include inventory and such? They told me yes, and other things. This site doesn't provide ANYTHING except some weakly done videos that don't provide detailed information on how to do anything. I started working with them explaining that my financial situation indicated that I needed to get another income coming in as soon as possible. They assured me 3 months (I translated to 6). They position themselves as a coaching team for folks who don't have any computer experience. The better to screw you with, apparantely. The bleeding just begins, you will NOT get any help on finding product or dropshippers, plan to spend money there and good luck finding a dropshipper that won't also pick your pocket. You will be paying monthly for your website, your merchant account, any activity you do on e-bay (one of their big pushes on making money - sell stuff you have around the house!) You will also have to pay for SEO optimization, they don't provide site mapping, you will pay for payperclick advertising, you will pay for pictures to put on your website. Well, you should be getting the picture. You might be unfortunate enough to get a couple coaching calls from kids who have no people skills what so ever. They will be condescending, vague and their profound guidance will be - watch such and such videos and do what they say. That would be those same videos that are vague and totally lacking in detail. You will also be inundated with calls from telemarketers who are hooked up with these people to sell you all the stuff thrive won't be helping you with. Well, I could go on. I signed up with these thugs in October of 08 and my website is completely invisible, no traffic, but lots of costs.

Glad you are making your way through this. I simply threw in the towel as I never did find a good dropshipper for my product. Be wary of any phone calls you may get trying to sell you search engine optimization, google ad sense, etc. They are all part of the same group even though they claim not to be. I was hit with $800 from a company that was set up to take credit cards for my site. When I canceled, they took their fee out of my bank account and my bank isn't reversing the charges.

Warning - don't sign up for the Credit Card option. They will charge your bank account and when you cancel - it is $800. I didn't even realize they were charging my account. I didn't know who Global was. When I figured it out, I canceled and then they hit my account for $800 and I didn't authorize it! Right now I've filed a complaint with BOA, but they still haven't returned the money to my account. ARGHHH!

I don't have a web cam and don't have the time to figure out yet another software format. I would prefer the written format. I'll provide all the detail necessary. Am I the only one stupid enough to give them $15, 100? Be aware that Visible.net is also an affiliate of theirs. Just found that out. You won't find them connected, but I had an billing issue and spoke with the same person at both companies.

I listed this under the wrong name. Don't know how to take it off here. Needs to show under THRIVELI

Ok - I cant seem to find out if there is a class action suit going on. Therefore, I am going to report to the BBB then to the attorney General of Utah and then I will go from there. I received an email today stating that someone had responded to my message of November 2011. I count not find it.

Fortunately I agree with most complaints in the above comments. I been with them for 1 year and have not made a sale. They seem to be short on help and as I get more into it many of thier so called helpers are not that experience. Most of the time when you ask a question they send an email with an attachment to learn yourself. Because of my beginning status I am not sure if my site is any good. I also find thier answers vague. They did tell me I had to find my own suppliers and did provide links to many good suppliers. I didn't expect them to hold my hand, but I did expect service. Again when you ask for help you will get an email with an attachment. It seems thay have some good employees but not enought. Tell me what you think of my site. Either link should get you there. greencompostinggarden.com or composterworld.com. You will find my email address on the site. If you are one of those companies thriveli.com gives my name to don't call. Remember 87 to 90% of money making offers on the internet are scams. I wouldn't say thriveli.com is not a scam; they have thier hands into too many areas. To many hands in the pot spoils the stew. From a business point of we can't go on for ever not making money. One other point they use Paleys Diesel Performance website as an example but don't tell you that Pasleys website is not using thier builder.

Hi,

If you are persistant enough you can get your money back. File a complaint with the Attorney General in your state and the state the offenders are located in. You all should also file a complaint here:

My bank was not very helpful so was presistent in calling and finally the customer service representative put me through to her supervisor & I gave her a ear full & she forward my call to the "CALL RESOULTION CENTER". All those cancelation numbers Web Profits throws out are just to make you think everything is ok. I talk to a representative staurday at the call resoultion center and today i checked my account & the $69.97 was back in my account. Take care 7 thanks for the help.

Hi (Name Withheld for Privacy, )

When you call your CC holder tell them you have been defrauded and can reach no resolution with the offender. Regulation Z requires CC companies to set aside monies for people that are victims of fraud. Every company on the internet has guidelines they have to follow.

If I can be of help in any other way feel free to contact me.

I Believe In You,
Carolyn

Hello,

I just wanted you to know that I am a Thrive 'Scamee' too. Unfortunately I was into them for over $15, 000.00 and they put me in contact with a company who talked me into liquidating my IRA account and investing in property in Nevada. Then they signed me up with a Tax Company who did absolutely nothing for me.
This is a nightmare.

I wish I was able to get this resolved. I was told the same thing that I would get my investment back if I did not earn it back with this junk program. So I tried to get my money back and they said that in my contract that I signed that I would not be refunded . I don't remember signing a contract and I have requested a copy of my contract and this was about three months ago and I still have received my "contract." Also there is a company that everytime that I send in a complaint to Thrive they email me asking if I need help getting my money back. They charge 40% of your investment. I think this company is in business with Thrive so I don't think I would trust them.

That's a real shame and I'm sorry to hear that, Are you still doing anything internet based?
We have four sites up at the moment, okay we've not made any dough but we're hopeful.
I really cant remember how thrive got hold of us, I think it was from a 'work from home' ad,
I was looking because all last winter I was working outside in subzero temperatures between 1800hrs and 0600hrs with no heating in my yard tractor and no help at all from the boss.
Now when I see the ads by google like the ones at the top of this page I want to scream because I know some-one else is being stitched up every minute.
Take Care.

Hi,
I am in england and was hooked by thriveli as well!
the thieving gits conned over 4000 off of my partner and I, yeh they have got loads of vid's on their site but the help you get from them is vague and very condecending.
I signed up in july 09 and all the help, that I have had from them is being told to watch the vid's and get on with it basically!
their web builder is absolute rubbish! who the hell wants to learn html these days?
build a banner I was told and incorperate pay pal etc. etc. and was told to download a graphics prog called gimp, okay that was free but it was the most stupid linux based editor i've ever seen!
there was no way that I would have learnt to use it in 6 months let alone make a sensible banner.
I was always being sent dates for webinars etc, yeh I could watch them later but we all know that if you sit down and watch this sort of stuff you aren't doing anything else!
I was sent an email with '13 rules on building a web site' and was told I had to comply with these rules before it was sent to a benchmark team to look at it before it was published!
yeh right! they forgot rule 14, it's my site!
hehe, I got narked and asked the 'technical dept' for the site address etc and slammed up a rubbish site using the worst site builder I could find, windows publisher 2000. the only trouble was that it don't look too bad, I'm not selling, and if you go look at the site, throttlerotate.com, please dont push any links on it.
but anyway, I found that Google absolutely adores publisher 2000 and Ive used it elsewhere with the same effect, google indexes it within 48hrs!
I now use a paid for site builder that does everything I want, it even converts my home vids to flash and has got a great uploader, I wont tell you what it is here because I dont want to be thought of as a scammer doing affiliate sales on it but it cost me just £35 and I'm happy.
Ive also found progs to resize etc my pixs that work great, one I paid for but it only cost me 9dollars and does what it says. sorry...I'm rambling...
oh yeh and I told one of the 'team' about a nice little niche keyword, guess what? there were seven sites using that keyword within the week!
I think it will be impossible to get our money back because they are going to use that old line..financial benefit is down to the effort put in..and all they have to say is you didnt put the effort in.
I was told by the idiot reactive team coach the other day to buy back links for my site! cooool, lets get slammed by google then!
anyway I dont know if this will get posted yet, knowing my luck it'll get stuck in outerspace or something, If anyone wants some help with links, c.junction, clickbank, paypal, whatever give me a shout, no spam please (ive got a hard drive full of that if you want some) and if I can help I will because I'm still learning the hard way as well
loadsa love and respect, Derek

Was wondering how you made out on your class action suit. I also have been scammed, all I received was a 10 min. coach call and the coach could not wait to get me off the phone, also the only training was the videos, also I was told that if I did not make my return investment in 6 month I would be refunded my investment, it's been over a year.
