Transfirst Merchant Services Unethical paractices

Transfirst is scammers in the letter of the law. I signed up with them for my credit card services. They turned out to be more expensive than my present supplier. I tried cancelling and they say I was locked into a 3 year contract (which I was not told about) after the 30 day free trial (which I was also not told about) . They charged me $495 to cancel the contract (which they also did not tell me about). It turns out that on 4th page of fine print of the "Terms of Agreement" that is mentioned and on the 5th the $495 charge. I see they are offering on the Web $250 if you try their service. They can't lose. I contacted BBB and they said Transfirst addressed all my issues (which they didn't) and BBB wouldn't do anything.

Transfirst Merchant Services are the BIGGEST scam artists and liars in the merchant account processing arena. I have emails from scummy sales rep that sold me lies and when I signed up fees were way higher than what I got in writing!

To make things worst there so behind in technology and don’t have a single Android app or intergrate with RoamPay. Last straw was for the last month we couldn’t as a company run any transaction on ANY mobile device, iphone, android, blackberry and we process 80% of our credit cards in the field.

So we changed processors to great local company http://www.cocardaustin.com and told Transfirst by a NOTARIZED termination letter that we faxed and emailed to various emails/numbers we found and told them we are going to sue them in small claims court for breach of contract if they try to screw with our credit or pursue come BS cancellation fee.

Of course last week they have the audacity to think were goingto pay a cancellation fee to them after they lied and costs us a bunch of money.

Also did I mention our new merchant processor has ZERO long term contract only month to month and they show you exactly what there mark up is. We found them on feefinders.com great site.

P.S I should add we got lucky, we were in the midst of changing business bank accounts (getting raped by Bank of America) to awesome credit union and closed our bank account. So lying dogs at Transfirst Merchant Services can’t try to keep debiting our business account or try to stick us with some BS cancellation fee. :D

I’ll keep everyone updated on this pending situation with this lying ###.

But seriously checkout http://www.CoCardAustin.com the guy that owns it actually drove to an iHop by my house to hand deliver the RoamPay swiper (that’s freaking service) and worked with Firstdata merchant processor to get everything done in 3 business days for us.

Guy has amazing service and well known nationally. NO setup costs, NO cancellation fees, NO long term contract, $10 a month minimum fees total. Lowest I’ve seen. Plus, instead of getting two different merchant statements every month and having to wait 72 hours to get paid from AMEX like with ### Transfirst Merchant Services. They set it up so you only get ONE statement per month and get paid in just 24-36 hours with AMEX just like you do with Visa/Mastercard.

Transfirst Merchant Services liar reps, faulty terminals, awful customer service

I was originally referred to Transfirst through my bank Washington Mutual. I didn't have any problems at first, but then a rep called and told me they had to do a mandatory upgrade on the equipment because as of a certain date, the equipment I had was supposedly not going to work (probably a lie). So I upgraded the equipment to a wireless terminal. He told me I could process both my businesses wireless on this one terminal (definitiely a lie). Well, unbeknownst to me, that terminal also came with a complete new contract from Northern Leasing (he lied about that, too). I thought I was signing to upgrade not to renew a contract. THEN...after sending the terminal back 3 different times, they finally told me that there is not such thing as a terminal that can do more than one business wireless...the other one has to be plugged into a landline. I don't have landlines. I'm stuck in this contract with this terminal they lied to me about, and now cannot process my cc without having to physically go out and batch out on my friends landline. It's been an ongoing mess. Now, they have tried to take their monthly fees out of my bank account 3 times so I was charged 3 non sufficient funds fees from my bank, and then they decided to take their fee out of the money they had pending on my terminal...which is what they should have done to begin with considering I cannot batch out without a landline! Their customer service just always passes the buck. The supervisors get on the phone and say they'll have to talk to their reps because the rep misinformed me, but all in all...I am still the one who has to pay all these rediculous fees and am stuck in a contract with a terminal that doesn't even do what it was sold to me to do. I would highly suggest NOT using Transfirst. They are extremely rude and just refer back to the fact that you signed the contract so there's nothing they can do. What a joke! Only I'm NOT laughing...
