Very Happy Customer
I recently refinanced my home with Trilogy Mortgage. I was told by everyone there was no way they would be able to get me the rate and fees that were quoted to me. I signed my final papers last week and everything was exactly as quoted. I will definitely be referring Trilogy Mortgage to my friends and family interested in refinancing.

lied to get business,then switched
I spoke to Ed Mueller and he asked me what my best quote was. I told him Wells Fargo and what the rate would be and what the total cost would be. He quoted me a lower rate and much lower cost. 6%, and $2219 in closing costs.I was going to do 2 loans with him, my residence, and a rental. I had spoken to about 6 other mortgage brokers that warned me that this guy was not going to come through with what he promised . He sent a truth in lending disclosure packet that had a 6.5% . with closing costs of $6300. From INDYMAC bank. I asked him about it and he said the costs stated are just standard but the documents will have the real costs. A few weeks later a Notary was sent to my house with the docs to sign, still with the higher interest rate and closing costs. I did not sign. I called Ed and he said that ther lender changed the terms a little...I asked him why their was a $595 processing fee due Trilogy, and a $396 funding fee also due to Trilogy. He said that he must have forgot to put those items on the good faith estimate he had sent to me. I questioned why he would forget a charge from his own company. He "forgot" I spoke to his Broker-Michael Mueller, a cousin he says, and he said he could do nothing about it. He said they could not lock in the rate for 12 days, and by the time they did, rates went up. I canceled my loans with Trilogy. This company did exactly what other motgage professionals told me they were doing, lowballing me and then changing the terms at signing. I would bet that INDYMAC bank never made a loan during the month of may,07 at 6% with $2200 in costs.I learned a lot from these scammers at Trilogy Mortgage. Don't be a dumb ### like me, Record your phone calls ,with their permission, get good faith estimate, AND something in writing that states the lock rate info. I ended up working with Ed John of Atlantic financial in Thousand oaks,Ca. He came through with what he promised. !
Recently completed a mortgage refinance with Mike Mueller of Trilogy Mortgage and had a fantastic experience. Mike was honest, responsive, communicated with me almost daily during the process and I got a fabulous rate. I was referred to Mike from my brother who had the same experience I did. The refi was done timely with no surprises. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike to my family and friends.
I recently finished a refinance with Mike Mueller and every aspect of our agreement went as projected. I was contacted by Trilogy while researching interest rates because the broker I was dealing with the time was not getting anything done. Mike gave us a competitive quote with his lender and the cost were well with in my projections. Mike locked the lone when I decided to go with his firm and the loan funded on time with no surprise fees.

We recently went through a re-finance of our condo with Todd Krekos at Trilogy Home Mortgage.
Like Ed, the final closing costs had additional costs over what was stated in their Good Faith Estimate.
PLus, due to a mistake in the loan documents on his part, a second set of documents were needed with an additional $150 fee. Todd said he would personally reimburse us for his mistake.
We have not recieved the reimbursement, nor our credit report or appraisal. Neeless to say, Todd does not return my phone calls now.
During our talks, I had an uneasy feeling that he did not have a clear conscience, and now I know why - that his word apparently means nothing.
I would not do business with Todd Krekos again, nor Trilogy Mortgage.
If you're looking for a recommendation, I would contact Kim Keys of First Financial at [protected]. We only went with Todd originally because his "good faith estimate" of costs was less than Kim's, but that was proven wrong.

Just finished my refi with Mike and Cory at Trilogy. After dealing with Chase for about 3 months (what a pain in the a$$) I decided to give Trilogy a shot. They closed my refi in 3 weeks, at a lower interest rate, a lower loan amount (built the fees into the loan), I even got a check back at the end. Mike and Cory were professional, low pressure, and a great at communicating their needs to move the loan forward, as well as answering my questions. They will receive recommendations from me to anybody I know that is looking for a great mortgage broker.

I just recently finished up a refinance on my house with Trilogy Home Mortgage in Orange County. I was very nervous to even start the process but due to a divorce, I had no choice. I was referred to Trilogy by a close friend who used them to purchase a new home. I contacted the President of the company, Mike Mueller, who explained to me the entire process and re-assured me that everything would go smoothly. Well, he was right. I provided all the necessary paperwork he needed regarding my home and he did the rest. His assistant followed up with me frequently to let me know how everything was going.
I thought it was too good to be true. I really didn't have anything to worry about! Everything Mike told me was exactly what happened, from the rate I was promised to the length of time it would take. Since I was new to this type of refinance, I had questions come about frequently. I called Mike on several occasions and he would answer my questions in a manner that was easy for me to understand. I now own my home as a single woman and have a payment that is comfortable. Thank you Trilogy!

I was recently contacted by several loan companies because I had filled out a request on the internet. I had recieved calls from so many companies I lost track of who I was talking to. The two companies I finally narrowed it down to were Trilogy Mortgage and Quicken loans. Quicken wanted me to pay a $500 lock in fee, they were offerring me a higher rate and about $3500 more in closing costs. When I told them of Trilogy's better offer they pointed me to this site to see the complaints and made me skeptical. I did many hours of research and found hundreds and hundreds of complains about Quicken loans, while finding only one under Trilogy Mortgage. I'm glad I did the research because Quickens method of bad mouthing their competitor almost worked and cost me money. I ended up trusing Mr. Mueller at Trilogy Mortgage who assured me he would follow through on his quote. The customer service was exceptionaL, Todd Krekos assisted in the processing of the loan and was always quick to return calls and answer any questions I had. I recieved the exact loan I was quoted and everyone was up-front and honest. I could not be happier. I saved at least $3500 in costs and my new rate lowered my monthly payment. I will refer Trilogy to anyone looking for an honest mortgage company.

I recently inquired for a home refinance online and I recieved 10 times more phone calls than I thought I would. Mike Mueller from Trilogy Mortgage called and was extremely knowledgable and had a non-invasive approach unlike most other companies I talked to. His quote was a quarter better in interest rate and several hundred dollars less in fees. The other companies guaranteed he couldn't do it. They were wrong, the whole process only took two weeks and I recieved exactly what was quoted to me. I have refferred two friends to Mr. Mueller after I heard what their bank was offering them and he is saving them several thousands of dollars. I will be looking to give him more referrals in the future. Thank you Trilogy Mortgage!

Commenting on Sheila Juarez regarding the appraisal: This is incorrect what she has posted. The appraiser never said they would not give her a copy. The statement was, "I must get authorization from Trilogy Mortgage before passing out copies to anyone." Under the OREA (Office of Real Estate Appraisers) law, when an appraisal is ordered by a lender or mortgage company, the appraiser is responsible for providing a copy to that lender and no one else, regardless of who paid for it. The appraiser is writing the report for the bank, and not the person who paid for the appraisal. It all comes down to who "engages" the appraiser: the lender/broker is engaging the appraiser. Ultimately, the appraisal belongs to the mortgage broker/lender because that is who ordered the appraisal. Once authorization is granted, the broker provides a copy to the home owner, or if the loan was canceled, sometimes they allow the appraiser to provide a copy to the home owner. So, she did not loose her money. In fact, she wrote these comments before the appraisal was even completed.
I gave Trilogy permission to start checking our private info and credit. And I paid and appraiser through them. And when I requested a lockin agreement I never heard back from Todd Krekos at Trilogy and am unable to reach anyone at the company. I had to put a stop payment on the appraisal because the appraiser could not give me a copy of the appraisal that I paid out of pocket for. SO Please be aware and protect yourself.
I inquired about my mortgage over the internet and I was contacted by Ed Mueller from Trilogy Mortgage as well as several over lenders. I was impressed byhis knowledge of loans and he explained my options as well as sending me a Good Faith Estimate for a 30 year fix rate loan that I chose to go with. After comparing all the offers, Trilogy's was the best and I decided to go ahead with the laon. The staff at Trilogy stayed in contact with me thru the whole process and got my loan done in less than 3 weeks. The final numbers were exactly what I expected and I was very happy with the whole experience. I will not hesitate to refer him to anyone I know who is looking to refinance.
