Has any one successfully sued?
I can relate with all of the complaints on here. I find it sad that an employee of Two of Us can come on here and "try" to defend what she does and then stoop so low as to criticize customers. Question for you is just how do you sleep at night knowing you are robbing hard working professionals? Are you seriously proud of what you do for a living?
To all the customers that innocently fell for this because they had the "Audacity of Hope" in trying to find a companion and put trust into this Company - has anyone had luck with getting their money back by either suing or going through the BBB? I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can share their experience with that before I go that route. OR can we file a group lawsuit? I am really thinking the "database" that they make you believe they have truly does not exist. I am in NJ and went through the Bridgewater, NJ office. Thanks much and good luck. It is comforting to know that others fell for this because they were trusting but I feel sorry for all of us for being scammed. I work my tail off and earn a good living - which unfortunatley leaves me no time to meet someone. And then I turn to Two of us with trust and hope to only be robbed and lied to. It's very disheartening.

Fraud and cheating
I guess I fell for the trap. I am a selective person and never thought of myself as needing the services of a dating agency. I didn't realize that is what this was when I set up an appointment to come in and find out about what they could help me with. I originally responded to an online dating website called VIPsingles.com Turns out they sold my name to...

Whatever you do don't fall for Rob Vargas's bullsh-t at Pittsburgh Singles - which is all a crock of sh-t. He plays people who are hurting and lies to them. My girlfriend fell for his bs at a difficult time in her life. I actually thought she was correct at first as well. Be smart and don't listen to one word that comes out of his mouth. He is a user and looking for someone to help him make his way in life. He does not care who he hurts. I told her to be careful and so did her daughters but she ended up being hurt by his lies. Just trying to prevent another innocent good hearted women from the same. KVF
Yes, Pam is the worst person there, she make everything look so perfect and they play with peoples emotions. They know we went in the painful moment of our life. I really want to sued them. I would like to do it in a group. The did not let me cancel the contract within the first 3 days, She got me. They don't even give any advice to the people, no help at all. Thieves.
I have nothing good to report on the sham played on individuals looking for a serious life companion by the company, Two of Us. The sales personnel are ONLY interested in one thing and that's getting your money, and believe me when I tell you it is not inexpensive. The lowest membership costs $3, 495. The salesperson you deal with will say anything to get your cash, but they neglect to tell you many stipulations. Now that I see the outcome of having paid for a membership, I would compare the experience to buying a used car. Once they have your money, they pass you off to another completely seperate department who do not know you and take no effort in talking to you before sending you a referral. This group of individuals pretty much ignores the plethora of information you completed with the salesperson outlining the type of individual you are looking, regardless of the preferences you requested.
My experience with Pam, of the Bridgewater, NJ office, was all rainbows and sunshine. She talked about all the wonderful relationships she saw occur during her tenure with the company. I find this extremely difficult to believe, since even after she told me I could call her any time, I have yet to receive a call back after leaving several messages, so how would she ever know whether or not a client was successful in finding a healthy relationship. Pam's not the only person who is less than truthful and doesn't return your phone calls. The customer service department is just as guilty when you call or leave online feedback. They don't contact you...you have to contact them. The one thing I can say is that they are trained to be civil and apologetic, but don't expect any more support than that.
Two of Us says that they use a radius of 50 miles when selecting a possible partner, but they don't tell you that means air miles. When I calculated the mileage using mapquest from my residence, it was actually 57 miles one way. They also don't mention that your preferences are really informational, and that they pretty much ignore them when selecting an individual for you. There are many other things they tell you that are not followed the way they are explained once they have your money. It is terrible to find out that while looking for help in finding a life companion, there are those who will completely take advantage of you regardless of the impact it may have on your emotional and financial life. You just cannot trust any one, and in this case, it can be extremely hurtful. They take the negative aspects of your past and convince you that from that point on everything is going to be rosie because of their, probably grossly exaggerated, track record.
Do not be fooled! You can not trust this company. Once they have your money, you'll be lucky to hear from them much ever again let alone find a suitable life companion!
I too feel scammed by the company! They promise you the world, fast talk you then almost shame you into signing a contract. I met 2 men from there. Neither was anywhere near what I was looking for. I feel they just threw me a bone! Both nice men but so far from my type! My year is almost up and the promised number of dates will have to come within the next 2 months, seeing that I only received 2 within 10 months, I highly doubt the others will be coming in! I would love to be part of a class action suit! This is a totally bogus company! I am in Michigan, went thru the Grand Rapids office. I wrote the company a long letter complaining of their service, you would think they could at least acknowledge the receipt of it! My credit card was compromised, not by them, but totally forgot about the automatic payment. Well now I am getting multiple phone calls of them wanting their money. Funny how it works, they want their money for a service they are not providing.
I whole heartedly agree. I just got scammed by them too in the Philadelphia area! I complained to the BBB, Pa Consumer Fraud and asked my credit card company in assisting in non payment. I will probably lose the money, but I will not take any of their services. They are so unethical and a scam that needs to be stopped. May be we should do a class action suit!
I've won. File a claim through District COurt. Find out the address of the TWO Of Us branch. Contact your local magistrates office; and ask who has jurisdiction. Then call the magistrates office where your TWO of Us branch is located. File a civil suit and pay the court costs. The loser will have to pay the court costs. The court costs are usually between 100-150 dollars. It depends on the amount you are asking for. Generally; $8000 is the max you can ask for.
