Never received refund after returning product
I bought a 500.00 ring from venue.com. The ring looked nothing like the picture, so I decided to return it. I received the return instructions and sent it back. I NEVER received a refund for the ring after returning it. I spent months trying to get my money back. I finally found someone who I thought could help me. She PROMISED my refund would be in my account on December 11. When it wasn't there, I gave her a call only to find her number had been disconnected. After months of trying, I finally gave up on my refund for my sanity. Everyone should know what a horrible company this is.

I bought a 500 dollar diamond ring from venue.com. It looked nothing like the picture did, so I returned the ring. I NEVER received a refund for 500.00 after I returned the ring. After a year of trying to get my money back, I gave up. The frustration with this company was making me miserable and letting go of 500.00 was all I could do.

In September I ordered a Bissell Floor Cleaner on line with this company. It was taking forever for them to ship the product so, I went ahead and cancelled the oder. They billed my account for this product and I have requested on several occasion for them to go ahead and take this amount off my account as the item never left the warehouse. Todate it is still showing the same balance., my concern at this point is the interest that this account is acrueing and will I be credited back these charges. Also shouldnt it be illegal to bill someone account way before the item or items are processed for shipping. This apparently is a new company and I think they are operating overeas as their are also a language barrier when you call to speak with someone. I think people should be wary of this company because they are a rip-off...

Oh and one more thing. If you paid for the Bissell with a regular credit card, call your credit card company and dispute the charges. Visa, Master Card, etc. tend to spank vendors who have merchant accounts with them who get complaints from their cardholders.
I'm not entirely sure if it's illegal to bill someone before shipping, although according to the FTC, most credit issuing companies have policies against charging a customer before a product ships.

However, what IS illegal is charging someone for merchandise never received. I have dealt with this sorry excuse for a company and it really seems to just be the merchant that's causing most of the problems. What I did to resolve it was to get in touch with World Financial Capital Bank who is the credit issuer for Venue. That is, if you applied for and got a Venue credit card. Call them, explain your situation and send them a letter if dispute to them as per the FTC website I posted above. They are much more accommodating. I canceled my order for an HDTV (a 500 dollar TV they charged 1, 200 dollars for) on the same day I placed it and after a month of calling them back and forth and them charging me for TV I didn't even have, WFCB took care of it post BBB complaint. The staff that actually take the orders are in a call center based in the Philippines as you most certainly were able to tell. Venue is indeed a rip-off.
Failure to Credit Account
On 7/16/09 I purchased a Toshiba laptop and extended warranty. On 7/22/09, I cancelled the order after finding a better price for the computer. They charged my account the $1, 238.00 and have yet to credit that amount back. I ended up disputing the amount with the actual card issuer, it STILL HAS NOT been credited back. This is NOT a return, it's a cancellation so their 45 day policy on crediting for returns should not apply.

The same thing happened to me. Ordered this 600+ dollars worth of earrings on May 2009, looked really nice on screen, but it looked different when I got it in person. Decided to return it a week after, but they have yet to credit it back on my account and it's already October. My credit score went down since it says I'm 30 days past due, which is unfair since I already returned it. I'm still trying to fix it and we're considering getting a lawyer to handle this... it's too stressful. And instead of being helpful, they make you run around and tell you lies after lies!
Same thing happend to me - I purchased 4 items with my Venue account. I received 1 of the 4 that I purchased (a MONTH after ordering it) and then was told it would be another 1 - 2 months for the other three items which they said were backordered and to call and let them know if I wanted to cancel them. I called and cancelled them immediately because there was no telling how long it would be before I got them and I could buy them locally cheaper.
They still billed me for the items. I called FOUR times over a six week period and was told each time that they would credit my account and they NEVER DID. I mailed a letter in accordance with their complaint policies and heard something back a month later via the mail stating they were "researching" the issue. What is there to research? They are billing me on my account for interest as well as the principal for items i NEVER received! I had to file a complaint with the BBB - i advise you to do the same.
As soon as this is resolved, I'm paying off my account in full (not until this is resolved as I do not owe the full balance) and never using VEnue again for ANYTHING. HORRIBLE customer service (most of them foreign/overseas) that speak from a script and if you ask them something off their questions they get confused.

I was able to send an email to rkangarlu@venue.com a couple of minutes ago and there was not failed delivery. Lets hope this person the BBB stated will do something. I just took her first initial and last name and posted it to venue.com email address they have for contacts on the site. Also vendorrelations@venue.com does not work.
