Excellent Customer Service
I was reading all these poor reviews so I decided to call the Wix Customer Service to find out for myself. I was informed that I had to wait 4 minutes so i hung up after about 2. In about 3 minutes I received a call from a Wix Representative asking if I needed any help. I explained my reason for the call and he asked I was having problems with my site. We talked for a short while and so far i am very satisfied with their service.
As for building my website, I was encountering some problems but I quickly realized it was my fault because I had not taken advantage of the tutorials. After I read up on the information i am very happy with my site. I have added some animations, etc.

A customer service # is hard to find. I never saw it on the site but when I printed out my invoice it was on the bottom. ***949 by the way. So minus a star for that not being accessible but when I did get a hold of someone they were awesome. I had failed to turn off auto renew, they refunded me even though it was my fault.
Wix is better than others I have tried for site building I just didn't have the time to make my sites work for me and $ just got tight. So the core service they offer is good. If they offered more access to customer service, like a find-able # and/or chat, at least for the payed plans, I would say they are a very good value.
Great value, easy to use and looks cool!
Having been associated with some form of web design/support/maintenance over the past decades, I'm quite impressed with how the wix platform works! I used it for one year to see how many adds I couldn't stand, like some other web platforms. I actually didn't mind the small wix add because it was a free site and I had tons of my photographs loaded. I like the editor and the many free apps/buttons/tools. This year I took advantage of their savings and locked in my own domain and upgraded to Premium. Now it's really cool to have my own little domain like a real person, not just some FB junkie. Anyway, I'm a big fan of Wix.com so please enjoy! BTW, it does take work to learn it, so don't criticize it unless you've seriously spent some time to understand it. I'm sure it's not powerful enough for some mega techies, but for the common humanoid, it works fine.
Wix is working great for me
Wix has everything I want in a website designing tool. It's basically fool proof. Almost any question you can possibly have has a detailed answer already on there site which is good because I don't like dealing with people (takes too long). Mobile view is great (MAKE SURE U EDIT THIS because it will probably look messed up if you ignore it). We paid for a premium account so there is no ads and personally I think that the pricing is right. If you have gone through the pain of trying to code a website then finding a hosting company and uploading the files to C Panel and then trying to make quick changes (I'm hyperventilating thinking back about this)... YOU WILL THINK WIX IS A GODSEND.
If you're trying to start an multi-million dollar empire, Wix probably doesn't have the capacity to support your needs. For regular websites for SMB businesses or personal websites/blogs/community initiatives... it's perfect.
I love wix
I absolutely love the Wix website builder. All their different designs are beautiful to look at and easy to adapt to your own requirements. People should appreciate how much effort and skill Wix put into making this service available. For my part I use it as an artist's portfolio to share pictures of my paintings and photo-artworks with my old friends at Mansfield Art College and the Royal College of Art. The colors of my paintings and photo-artworks are accurate when they are uploaded to the Wix website, and they are well supported by easy-to-use written text. The page layout design is well organized and allows me to display my paintings so that viewers can access them with no difficulty. As an example just take a look at my own portfolio (http://davidpoyser.wixsite.com/portfolio). It's not a business, just a really professional way of sharing my pictures. As an artist I do appreciate good design and Wix certainly provides that.

I am currently bidding on AdWords, and I'm gonna make YouTube adds running flash shots of these comm
I feel like since this company doesn't want to help and are running a scam on the people that it's time for some pay back. I know they could care less about these comments because very few people will see them and lawsuits will never happen, so I feel like hitting them where they hit us. (On the add market) I own two very big YouTube channels (one of the them is Planet X Daily News) that total in all over 500,000 subscriber's and I plan on putting up a scan of these comments for awhile at the beginning of each video, I don't believe that's enough to really hurt them so I'm currently in the process of bidding on enough time slots on YouTube to really put a damper on their scam (also website adds as well). I can assure you guys this will hurt their business like you wouldn't believe and bring fourth more victims and it will snowball from there. I started a Wix site (Daily X Files) and I put all this work in it just to find I cannot even find it online googling the exact web address. In conclusion, Wix you did well and enjoy your money but the buck will be stopping soon.
Easy, user friendly, and REASONABLE customer service!
Ok first of all I don't understand why people downvote wix so much simply judging on their customer service. I was also charged 150$ as my renewal of premium plan after my first year, and yes, at first I was furious about that too. But if you guys read what you sign up for... they actually very clearly state that this is what they will do. Maybe its not acceptable for some, but for businesses to thrive, a web page has to be up and running all year long. I understand that.
Anyway, I contacted customer service via e-mail. Explained my situation clearly and requested for a refund. And to be clear, it was just a day after the charge was made and technically my previous years subscription still had 6 days till in would officially expire.
First e-mails were not so helpful as they asked me to contact for official request for refund. So that got me a bit frustrated but I did not give up nor started cursing them(which I believe most people would do) after a long wait for about 3 week I received a mail saying my refund request is approved. And a week later it was refunded. Voila!
So here you go guys. This is my advice.
1. read what you sign up for. 2. learn to be patient and polite. 3. be reasonable, justify with reason why you think you are right.
And thank you wix, for a making things easy for people and businesses, and for having a reliable, logical customer service (although its a bit slow)
Create a free Website
Having your own website to advertise your Business, Goods and Services is the way to go. Almost everyone has their own website. It's the way to advertise, it's actually the way to go.
A few years ago I was about to pay for a ten weeks course in Web page designing, it never happened until about three months ago I saw an advertisement on a particular website inviting people to join the website designing boot camp. This boot camps goal is to help people to set up their own personal website in two days. The cost is $10,000 (ten thousand Jamaican dollars) and you are to take your credit card with you to pay an additional US$60 for the Url so that is pretty much JA$16,000 (sixteen thousand Jamaican dollars).
I mentioned it to someone and they told me not to pay any money to set up a website because I can find a site on the internet that can offer me the service for free. I decided to search for myself and gave up until I stumbled on wix.com. I decided to try it myself, by the way, I am not very technologically savvy. I do pretty good on Microsoft office applications but I know little or nothing about web page designing. Anyway, I decided to go on the website and try my hand at it. To my great surprise, and happiness I was actually able to set up a website on my own. I actually started it today on wix.com, I am not finished yet, I have saved it to continue because of time constraint. That is the reason I have decided to do this review. I have gained satisfaction and I want others to benefit too.
You do not have to have a knowledge of programming, HTML or javascript, It is a simple step by step process. Your can create your web page of your design with animation and all of this is for free. The only thing you need is a domain name. Isn't that great!
Well, I know it has helped me because now I can create a web page and this I did for free and I also have the knowledge on hand to share. So if you ever think about building your own web page why not try wix.com you will be glad you do.
Incompetent to say the very least
I was writing a WIX Blog draft over a few days, relying on their 'autosave' option to save my updates over the days that I was writing and feeling creative. On the fourth day I went back into my blog and it had reverted back to the version from Day 1. I had lost all the photos, links, videos, and words that I had edited in between day 1 and today.
I checked version history and according to the blog site my version history only showed it to have commenced today, there was no previous versions to go by. So all was unfortunately lost :( Anyone who is a creative writer knows that re-writing the same thing is never as good second time around and you often just lose drive altogether and throw away the whole work as a negative experience makes writing it unpleasant from that moment on.
I thought maybe the site would have my lost drafts somewhere and tried to get a 'call back' help option but it asked me to put in my mobile number and kept sending me an automated reply telling me that my mobile number was incorrect. After about 30 retries, i tried to enter my husbands mobile number and then my friends mobile number just to test it. All three came back with the same automated response saying that the numbers are incorrect and to check the number. I thought this very odd. So i tested the same number again in the sales team area, entering the same number to get a call back about a site upgrade package, funnily enough, the number went through without any problem at all and the automated response said someone would call me straight back.
So WIX will allow your number to go through when it will lead to them getting your money for a sale, but when you want help it doesn't want a bar of it! There goes a good 30 minutes of my day wasted, with no resolution.
I then tried another option, the live chat, this would again only allow me to proceed when i said I was wanting a system upgrade, if i said I wanted help it would send me in circles back to call back.
I finally got through to Iliana who wasted over an hour of my time going around in circles, totally not understanding the issue at all, and taking a good 5 minutes to reply to each message I sent so was clearly heloing mutiple customers at any given moment in time (I know this is what live chat people do to up their stats) but she kept lying to me and telling me that she was conversing with the 'team' as to how to fix my problem. I might have believed that IF they were actually fixing anything, they werent even answering simple questions and were sending me on wild goose chases making me click into areas of the site that were not relevant to my issue such as how to revise published works (I am working in draft, not published).
I asked her to give my mobile number to the call back centre to call me about the issue as I had spent well over and hour with her and absolutely no where near any resolution and she told me she would send my email to the team and they MIGHT contact me back, she couldn't guarantee anything though. Nice, nice service!
My ticket number is #***517 if anyone from WIX is actually reading this, which i doubt, as they clearly do not care about anything other than sales.
I do NOT recommend WIX to anyone wanting to operate a site unless they are themselves an IT expert who can fix their own issues, as if you are a customer with issues WIX are not at all capable of nor bothered about helping you. VERY DISSAPOINTING!
Worst website builder ever
Having subscribed to a premium plan, I now evidently must wait about a year after the date that I purchased this subscription before I can close my account. So, although the account is set "not to renew", the account itself is still going to remain open, if I understand their directives clearly of course. Although their application would not allow me to close the account, evidently because the subscription had not run its course (evidently with no other means for cancelling the subscription than by choosing the setting that would not renew the subscription). This practice itself is not going to change my mind; rather, it only solidified my position. Consequently, I evidently must return to this account in about a year before I can completely close this account, and in my personal opinion be completely rid of this headache. Some of my reasons for wanting to close my account included the following, based entirely on my personal opinion, of course: I was shocked to discover that evidently my photograph images which I uploaded from my computer were evidently being made available for dissemination through a third-party vendor. Or so it seemed to me, when my cursor accidently moved over one of the photograph images I had uploaded and had added to my blog post from my personal computer file; I discovered that a new window pop-up appeared for logging into a third-party vendor's website, apparently enabling the visitor to acquire my photograph's image. After attempting to research ways to block this feature and protect the privacy of my photographs, I came to the conclusion that such protection was not provided at this time. At one point their application indicated that at the time there was no feature which allowed me to limit the number of downloads a visitor could make of my data. I do not know if the instructional information for their application simply needs to be updated, or if in fact there is no means for blocking visitors from downloading my photographs. I was also unhappy to learn that evidently information supplied to my website by my clients was evidently going to be made available to third-party vendors, seemingly through any social media links that I might have set up through this website builder. So, I did not use this feature on my website. I found the information provided for using this website builder very, very confusing. Admittedly though, I did not take the time to watch the many, many video tutorials which were made available by the application. I wanted a fast easy way to build a website with a blogsite feature. I do not believe that I found it with this website builder. Of course, the website builder application did offer the choice for obtaining "professional help" with building the website - for an added fee, even to the premium plan clients. The website builder application also seemed to change availability of product features by renaming them, and then apparently added an extra charge for acquiring access to the "new" feature, an apparent modified version of what once was free. If I knew all of this information, and more which is not noted here, about this company prior subscribing to their product plan, I would have avoided them like the plague. True, I did not do my research as thoroughly as I should have. Such as, I did not know that this company is apparently headquartered outside of the borders of the United States. A seemingly small but significant factor to me. I feel that I made a tremendous mistake by choosing to use this website builder's product. I simply urge caution before proceeding; I advise taking greater care in one's research before investing time, effort, and money into a product that does not match one's need or ability. In my opinion, this website builder's product was not "user friendly", at least not for me.

They have no real customer service and they offer 24/7 support as an incentive when you sign up for one of their premium plans which I did. However I cannot get in contact with anybody. Wix has only gotten worse and worse since the covid-19.
They have been allowing payments to be received from my business website, but has held my funds since August 5 because of a verification process that I completed a year ago when I created my account. They have been sent all of my business info over and over again and its now 3 months and I cannot get in touch with ANYONE. No phone number, no email address. The only option is to have them call you back and I keep getting hung up on when I answer. I don't know how this is legal. My electricity is cut off at my business because I can no longer afford to pay out of pocket while they hold my money for no reason. I cannot believe this!
I have been trying to contact them regarding simpleketodiet. They take twenty nine dollars a month on my credit card and cant get a phone number or response from them. They are a bunch of cheers.
Where do I start. This is the worst website platform. i have been so patient with submitting all of the required documents to get back into my website. They continued to tell me the info is not correct. I have sent the receipt for my domain (from the domain site back office) they tell me this is not the correct receipt. They then send me an example of how they want the receipt to look. then go as far to send the direct of how to retrieve receipt from my domain. (namechaep.com) all receipts from this site does not display the owner's name. it displays the owner's username and home address only. this is on the same example that wix.com sends me. I asked is anyone looking at this site. i cannot give you a full receipt with my name because it's not made this way. as per namecheap. Wix responds and tell me that they cannot call me because they cannot speak to about verifying my account over the phone. I have so much invested in this website, and this is how my clients for my spa contact me. I have lost so much money within the last 3 weeks because of this wix.com. BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS PLATFROM. I HAD TO PAY FOR SOMEONE TO CREATE A NEW SITE ON ANOTHER PLATFORM
Web site was easy to set up
Web site was easy to set up. But, somehow my account was a big mess - even a representative was unable to find my account. They billed for a two year renewal without giving me notice. Charged my card (even though expiration date had changed from the card on file) and in over an hour with a "support" rep. apparently in a foreign country, the rep. was unable to refund the charge billed about a month in advance, or take down my web site. I've given up trying to do it myself.
I've tried to contact this company and they keep sending me in circles. Will not call me to resolve this issue. I canceled my account through a rep of thiers 3 days later they take out 380 dollars from my account! That they will not refund back or even call me!
Againcancelled auto renewal 1 month before renewal datecharged card anyhowno email responses.only get a office currently closed message by phone.semi-legalized theftwhat a joke! Run fast and run hard from this site!
Unsatisfactory result to not having my website restored. In addition, charging my checking account for the regular fee and still not obtaining access to my website. It is bad business when you can not get a live person on the phone to help with access to the website you created.
Lost new business on wasted time trying to have a website built with this platform. Circles upon circles. Should sued them for lost revenue. Incomplete service denied refund. What a waste. DO NOT USE. YOU WILL LOSE MONEY AND TIME.
I have been with Wix for about 10 years
I have been with Wix for about 10 years. When they started with email (the ASCEND system ) and their CRM, they did not know what they were doing--problem after problem! It appears they still do not. I have complained over the last few years about the same thing. They tell me one thing then never fix their system. The crux of their ineptitude includes:1. They send my emails to people that have been unsubscribed on my list. They keep telling me they will fix this -- they never get back to me and never fix it. IRRESPONSIBLE! This could get me and my website blacklisted! ( https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/can-spam-act-compliance-guide-business)2. They arbitrarily code part ( 20-30%) of my organically grown 900 email list as "inactive" without my knowledge or permission. They say it because these people have not responded to my email in a "while".They cannot state what "awhile" means. In a review of the lists and activity, the people they deem inactive HAD responded to my last email.Multiple calls -- with hangup, multiple escalations with no response or resolve WIX IS FAILED and I will be leaving their CRM ASAP!(In all fairness the website and editing portion of their offering is ok.)
DO NOT. And i mean DO NOT ever pay for a premium service with this company. I opened a Wix account 6 years ago for a small business I was starting. I paid for their premium service for two years as I ran my business. After the business gaining some success I wanted to switch website providers to a better platform. I took all the necessary steps to cancel my subscription as outlined in their policies. For the past FOUR years they have charged my debit card on an annual basis for a service that I no longer use. I have tried to do a stop payment through my bank. Block them from charging my account - everything. I have tried to use their customer service contacts with no luck. I have finally filed a fraud claim with my bank.Again - DO NOT EVER pay for premium services with this company.
This place is ridiculous how Can you run a business and have no way to contact them Personally? Charging us for a year subscription and not Receiving a notice is unreal we had to cancel our credit card to enable Them to charge us but still Unable to contact them directly by phone ? Or Email because we do not know what email or password?! Just blame Ridiculous
Crying. While i was in hospital fighting for my life wix sold my domain. Now i have fake emails, thousands hacked from my account, and i cannot take anymore. They use third world representatives on call backs or chat. They play stupid to your questions. I have receipt my domain was paid for and they sold it anyway. I caught them twice stealing from account. Run run run!
As a website template, it worked well enough for the first few months of my business
As a website template, it worked well enough for the first few months of my business. However, I encountered significant issues with customer service, third-party affiliations, and overall usability for my business. ComplaintsBoard.com recommended an SEO company called Zoek. I am currently having difficult discussions with the recommended company, and when I tried to inform ComplaintsBoard.com about the poor customer service and inadequate SEO services I received, they informed me that it was not their responsibility. They stated that ComplaintsBoard.com does not take responsibility for any services provided by third-party providers and mentioned that they would contact me if they needed more information. I was shocked. I understand that ComplaintsBoard.com is not the SEO provider, but they recommended the service to me and showed no accountability or concern for the terrible experience I had with my website. I decided not to renew my ComplaintsBoard.com website, and I cannot recommend it to friends or fellow entrepreneurs due to the poor customer service and the high cost of a website that did not meet my needs. I hope that ComplaintsBoard.com will be more cautious in the future when selecting partner companies, as my experience with them has been terrible because of their recommendations and lack of support when I encountered difficulties.
I created a website using wix for a year. They automatically renewed my account for a year without my permission and when I contacted them they told me they dont issue refunds after 14 days? I called them the same day they took the money out of my account, how is that 14 days later? This company is a rip off and is stealing peoples money. They sent an email saying it would take 20 days for the advance billing team to review my request for a refund. This is absurd. i even offered to go to a monthly plan but to no avail. BUYER BEWARE
I started my Wix account, encountered a few issues while navigating the website, and attempted to reach out to support multiple times for assistance, but it proved to be futile. It was impossible to have a direct conversation with anyone for guidance on the site; interaction was limited to digital communication only. It felt quite absurd, honestly. Eventually, I gave up. I opted for the monthly plan. After a while, I ceased working on the website and canceled the service, yet they continued to bill me every month. Later on, I received a message informing me that an attempt was made to process an annual plan fee, but my card rejected it due to a change in the card number. I had to inform them that I had never approved such a transaction. Reading through these complaints, it's apparent that many others have encountered similar issues. I emphatically advise against using this disreputable website.
Not only is this an expensive site to use, but the fees are also terrible and the wait time to receive your payments from customers are extremely slow. If you try to cancel your subscription, don't count on getting any type of refund. NONE. I had to buy a card reader to do craft shows, that was $70.00 (cheapest one) Take payment from customer on Friday and will not receive your funds until the following Thursday (if you're lucky). I canceled my service due to cost of site and lack of sales. Completely deleted my domain, website, and email. NO REFUND not even a pro-rated one. So, in short, buyer beware.
I have been trying for hours to contact Wix.com customer service and I can't. The customer service chat site seems to be shut down. Although the customer care website seems to indicate that there is a phone number I can't find one. I have wasted precious time today and I am not happy.
Be careful when making payments to WIX
Be careful when making payments to WIX. Upon my renewal, I received a message that the credit card on file was expired. The only card I had access to was my DEBIT card. I NEVER use my debit card. I hadn’t used it in years. So, I used my debit card to renew my website. Two or three days later, my bank called me regarding suspicious activity on my debit card. Wire transfers, purchases, etc. Thousands of dollars in charges. They were declined by the bank because they were not in pattern with my normal usage. So a couple of days after using my debit card ( that I never use) to make a payment to WIX, and fraudulent charges are made, what am I supposed to think? Obviously, someone at Wix took my info OR, some hacker has access to wix files. When I called to alert WIX, a rep e we go could hardly speak English made me feel like I was crazy. I told her “I just want your company to be aware that this is going on” . She thought I wanted something more but I didn’t. Just investigate and find the Thief ! She said sad he would escalate the matter but I doubt that she did .
Wix is THE BEST, bar none, website host I've ever worked with, including my days in professional corporate web design
Wix is THE BEST, bar none, website host I've ever worked with, including my days in professional corporate web design. Their websites are super intuitive, logical and flexible to use. They offer independent design control for Mobile or Desktop presentations. The customer service department has amazing response times and solves problems quickly and professionally.
I am extremely impressed with my new website and wanted to share my excitement here
I am extremely impressed with my new website and wanted to share my excitement here. Four months ago, I hired Webbit to create a website for me because I knew I couldn't do it myself. I struggle with using my phone, let alone a computer. However, when I realized that no progress had been made, I decided to hire Web.com instead. Unfortunately, that also turned out to be a frustrating experience and a waste of time. So, I made the decision to purchase a computer, learn how to use it, and build my own website. Surprisingly, it only took me a few weeks to learn how to navigate a computer and successfully build and publish my website. I am proud to say that I now have a beautiful website that I created entirely on my own using Wix. I can't believe I actually accomplished it! It's stunning! I am amazed by all the features that Wix offers. I was even able to get my site listed on the first page of search results within 15 minutes, and it didn't cost me anything. Currently, I am taking a business course that suggests spending thousands of dollars on a high-end website, but their website isn't even as good as mine. Their pages don't function properly, whereas mine do. Thank you, Wix!
I paid more than 500 dollars for my site and domain, I use them for less than a month and now my site has been down for more than 2 weeks.
I paid more than 500 dollars for my site and domain, I use them for less than a month, my site has been down for more than 2 weeks now, with no explanations, notifications, or notice of any kind, I asked for a refund and they send me an email saying "No". They said they reviewed my complaint but they don't say why.
I have seen the number of complaints against this company posted on your website and I realized it was a bad desition to pay for the services of these guys, I really hope you can help me, money doesn't come easy and is really frustrating to lose it to companies like this one.
I have documented the whole thing with documents, pictures, and video if necessary.
Thank you in advance.
Desired outcome: A full refund of my money.
Blogging site
I last spoke with Myles at the complaints department. at wix complaints department on the 1st March 2022. After three months, wix has not connected my blog site to my domain. Countless phone calls and countless emails.
My domain is www.zipwithmypip.co.uk
Last customer request email ticket number was [protected]
He offered me a three month refund £18 plus reassured my problem was resolved
My blog site is not live, nor connected to my domain
Desired outcome: Full refund. Plus my blog site to be live and connected to my domain. In November I do not want my account renewed automatically, without consultation
Charged fee in december 2021 for future domain for feb [protected]
Cancelled in December 2021 before new period of 16 Jan 2022. Disputed charge on credit card and charge was then put back on card. Scam artists at best and would never recommend anyone do business with any company based out of Tel Aviv or Israel.
Cancelled and did not request 2 more years that was charged ahead of starting date of services without being refunded.
Desired outcome: credit card refund for services cancelled before the two year period started.
