Dear Rug Doctor Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the unprofessional behavior and threatening phone call I received from one of your employees, Kirby, on Friday morning, February 16, 2024.
On January 1st, I rented a carpet cleaner from Save on foods and returned it one week later. However, on February 16th at 7:25 am, my disabled mother was disturbed by a call from Kirby demanding to speak with me. When I told my mother I would call back after I was done in the washroom, Kirby threatened to call the police if I didn't speak to him immediately. I was shocked and taken aback by this experience and was given no choice but to speak with him.
Kirby proceeded to accuse me of not returning the carpet cleaner and demanded to know its location. I was appalled by his audacity and the fact that he called me a month and a half after my rental to demand this information. His behavior was unprofessional and completely unacceptable.
As a customer, I do not expect to be treated in such a manner by any business, particularly one that I have rented from. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and has completely overshadowed any thoughts I had about the quality of your carpet cleaner.
I understand that I returned the cleaner a little late, but this does not justify the threatening and blackmailing behavior of your employee. It was unnecessary and completely uncalled for. I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by this incident.
Furthermore, Kirby informed my other half that the store needed to investigate the matter more, but wanted to check with me first as I was the last one to rent the cleaner. This only adds to my frustration and disappointment with how I was mistreated.
