I am disillusion with Schewel and with Michael Heise who I was told to talk to. I bought a mattress named Jacqueline back supporter by Spring Air It Was 1, 357.98 Half price that day. I told them I had a bad back and they recommend this mattress. The first day My back went out.
I could not hardly walk.The second day same thing but worse.We also bought a roll top desk for 1, 018.48 they bought it and the parts were missing .The slide to the key board tray. So we cant use the key board.So we had to go in there and ask has the part came in after weeks of buying it just to hear the part was not available. he would have to get a hold of the representative. If the company cant do something what is the representative going to do? Why can't they bring a new Desk out. So far I am not impressed with Schewels. They will not take back the mattress and we had to buy a mattress pad to cover the mattress
I had to buy for 109.00 or it would void the warranty. Total spend 3, 460.96 and they do not back up there Furniture. I was told I would have to keep the mattress once delivery they can't take it back.
SO BUYER BEWARE! I bought lots of furniture and never had a problem years ago. But now don't ask me maybe they have new managment . I wont be buying nothing from them again! Money does not come easy today and now I'm sleeping on my couch.I cant even sleep in my bed. Pretty bad when your couch is better to sleep on then your mattress. and I have a roll top desk that's missing parts too.
I can't believe the service you get today. You spend good hard money to get what? A company that's been in business for I think they say a hundred years. Well I bet with this service they won't be in business another 100 years.Moneys hard to come buy now a days.I am sure they have felt it.Well maybe not. they just build that new building. maybe the owners don't know what it feels like to have to save and when you buy a big purchase like a mattress and desk.It is a big deal to spend that much money on something. When you could of spend it on better things like food, Gas. everything is going up except your paycheck and they won't back up there products. Shame! Shame on you Schwels. My situation is almost identical...the old "bait and switch" to get you to buy a more expensive mattress, told the salesman I have back issues, mattress put me on muscle relaxers after two nights, and they won't take back, adjust, give store credit. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SCHEWELS IN WINCHESTER, VA.
I have always shopped at schewels spent a lot of money there just finished paying of 1500 dollar mattress and threw the years a lot of furniture IN December they having a sale so brought a 50 inch Samsung when I got it home and set up did not like picture at all you would think unhappy customer they would want to make me happy BUT said NO returns and basically sorry for your luck ..The picture is not that great and plasma is not great in basement (no one told me that) so I stuck paying for a TV I don't like and they could care less...just wish I went to WALMART
I bought a sofa and love seat at Schewels and was not satisfied with them and requested a store credit or refund. The manager told me once its delivered, it cant be taken back. Even if I purchased another set of furniture that costs much more than originally. This policy would make me seek elsewhere next time. This is not a good company to deal with.
I live in Emporia Va. A small town. My wife and I purchased a mattres set with warranty but just like the previous reviews the warranty was not honored. The mattres has folds, wrinkles, dips and humps. We finally were told someone would come to look at them but of course he ruled in their favor. Please don't throw your hard earned money away at Schewels Furniture.
Please don’t shop at Schewel in culpeper. The people are rude and disrespectful. Never buy any warranty on any furniture you get because they will find away to dishonored their agreement. It’s like you paying extra money for nothing. My wife faithfully pay my bill every month while I’m out of town handling business so I can’t make it to Culpeper store, I called and explain my situation and the still won’t compromise. Everyone in that store knows my wife but they can take my wife’s money but refuse to compromise. They telling me the warranty doesnt covered certain things but failed to mention what the warranty covers when the contact was signed.. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I never seen a biases store until I visited the culpeper store..
Oh my, sounds the same everywhere. I’m going through the same thing in Covington, VA. They do not honor any warranties. They go through the motions like they are trying to help, but are not. Very unprofessional, no customer service.
Don’t go to Suffolk VA either! We purchased a couch, love seat and recliner. Within 3 weeks they all started tearing at the seams. They sent someone out to look at them...they spent 3 hours sewing the furniture. Here it is 3 weeks later and you guessed it! Tearing apart at the seams. Can’t get money back but you can go look for something else! Why would I want to find another set!?! It will probably do the same thing! All I get are excuses! I have always got all my furniture from Ashley...decided to try local company! Stupid mistake, never again! Waiting on call from store manager...ugh
I went to the shewels in Collinsville just to look around. I saw they had queen sized king beds for sale hahaha. When the floor salesman came up to ask if we needed anything or had any questions I asked whats up with the queen sized king mattresses. He says oh those are kings.. I said no they're not and laughed. He then says ok those are queens but we can get kings.. they were selling queen size beds as kings.. I wouldn't trust them ever after this. Wow.
