I have a small loan with Security Finance this payment is due once a month. However, they contact you anytime they feel free to to see when you would like to set up another payment. This was just paid last week and they are already calling.
When I told the girl that there would be another payment by the fist of the month she said would you like to make arrangements. I said I just told you that there would be another payment by the first week of the month and that there was just one made last Thursday... the payment is $90 and I always pay at least $100 to pay it off sooner. There is only like $300 owed on the account but still there is no need for them to call daily, multiply times.
They always leave rude messages or act as though you are going to jail for not sending a payment (even when you are not late. They have even called and pretended to be a law office or someone with the courts to get me to call back. They go as far as to say this and that they are from Bartow county (were I live) and leave a Gordon county phone number (where they are)kind of dumb I think.
The girls(I will not call them Lady's because they are anything but)are not very educated or trained very well for there position. I have worked in the office most of my work life and I don't know of any office much less a financial office that will let people act the way they do. I am not sure what qualifications that you have to have to be employed there. Obviously not a lot from the way that they act.
Anyways after I hung up on the girl today that was being very rude. The 'manager' called me back - after she was rude I hung up on her and didn't answer the phone back. Her message was 'I know that you didn't just hang up on my employee and I'm sure that we just got disconnected. But your account is now under legal review and I will just have you sued. So of course this makes me furious. I called her back and tell her yes I did just hang up on your employee and guess what I did the same to you. I told her to go ahead and sue...
From my understanding you have to be more than 30 days past due to be sued for something like this and they have to go thru more than that type of collection. Funny that the account isn't even 30 days past due. So how are they going to sue me? If anyone knows let me know.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I do not owe Security Finance. I have never had a loan with them. They call my house once a week (while I am at work) but they do not leave a message. I am on the DNC list and have been since it began. I have called and asked these people to put me on their do not call list and to not call me again, but they continue to call. I think it's time to sue.
#1 if someone wrote your number down as a contact for them then they arent doing anything wrong. I work in the finance industry and have lots of people come get a loan and they have to leave me 5 references to contact them .
#2 you only have to be one day late to be sued.
It is entirly possible, that at one point you skipped a monthly payment and got behind. So you are always behind. It is against the law fro them to call you when you are current to try to collect a debt. I am sure you are wrong. Sorry, but I have worked in this indusrty for 12 years. My advice to you is to call them and ask them if you are curret. I bet anything that you arent.
This company co-erces the employees to constantly call the customers whether they're past due, or solicit them. And YES, there are very inexperienced or untrainable employees in that company that threaten to SUE, threaten to have customers ARRESTED, & break lending laws ALL the time. I seriously DOUBT the above complaintant is more than 1 month due, and that does NOT constitute threatening to SUE. By LAW if you threaten to SUE-then you'd better SUE or GET sued! Most of the employees of that company are NOT knowledgeable to even know that. YET this company is filled with less than professional employees-from the Supervisors on down. I have witnessed exactly what the complaintant is talking about!
im filing federal fraud charges an this company has been sued several times for fraud.
well...I've recenty lost my job and called them to notify them...i told them whatever steps they have to take to collect their funds then to do so...instead the call my past employer and harrass him...i haven't worked in 6 months...but yet they refuse to take action...they keep asking for a payment...i apologized to them for losing my job...but the employment rate is ridiculous...i lost my home in the process and vehicle...so what can they take and why won't they just stop calling harrassing people...all they won't is money I can't give...so I'd rather them sue me...but they can't get anything cause I have NOTHING to give...put it on my credit and be done with it.
They called my job today, talked to the lady in payroll, told her the exact amount I owed, the amount of the payments, to expect garnished wages, and then tried to cut a side-deal with her to just take the money from my check and send it to them.
This was a federal offense, and im curious to know my options.
please contact me I am filing fraud charges against this company they also have been sued a few times for fraud funanfastrn@yahoo.com
As a former employee who resigned, I can tell you that the collection practices of this company is horrible.I could say so much about everything that I was told to do by the district manager but they monitor tese complaints to try and save face.Fact being, they are predatory lenders that found a loop hole to do title loans in NC. Title loans are not legal, but we were told a title was required to do loan.Don't get caught in the trap!

These are people that have a job to do the same as each of you. You borrow money and agree to the terms of the contract. When you fail to pay on or before the due date you are in breach of the contract that you agreed to. You secured a debt with a title or personal property and yet you complain when the company tries to get their money or property. If you pay your bills on time and don't fall to your own actions of over extending yourself you will enjoy doing business with your lender and they will do the same. Ignoring phone calls and simply paying when you want to affects their pay checks so of course they will do what is necessary to meet their goals. First party lenders are not debt collectors so you know and have different guidelines they follow. If you don't like their practices then go to a bank but I am sure that you did that at first and were laughed out the door. Simply put pay your bills on time, answer the phone and contact them before you are delinquent, give an exact date of payment and do what you say you will do when you say you will do it. This is the easiest way to maintain your account, avoid phone calls and outside collections to your home and job.
I took out a small loan with them an signed the DNC list as well.I payid it off and of course they WOULD NOT let me out without taking out another.I am 60 yrs.old, live alone and receive 1 check a month.I informed them that I DO NOT get my check untill the 18th of each month and asked if it would be alright to take out my loan so that payments come do during that week of the month " Noooo Problem ! We'd be happy to work with you on that ! ". On the 1st a phone call, on the second a letter AND a phone call. They call my "peoples "list and me EVERYDAY and DEMAND a payment ! I have had 2 letters, a note on my door, and a call everyday for the last 8 days! I called them back twice and told them " It will be the week of the 18th when I receive my check just last it has been for the last year an half of loans I have had with you!" Next day " RINGGGG..." I ABSOLUTLY refuse to call them, talk with them, open my door to them and have a " Magicjack" home phone and EVERY call is recorded and saved with time and date satmp on computer records. My caller ID on phone shows " ALL" there numbers and there voice mail are recorded, dated, time and date stamped by email received. " I WILL NEVER, NEVER take out a loan again" and am going to contact a lawyer nxt.week about law suite as well as contact my Att.Gen. office in Austin, Texas.

the experience with debt collectors within this company varies by location. That type of illegal collection behavior is usually learned from a manager of another company or someone with morality issues. Here is what you need to know about Security Finance: nobody can arrest you over money you owe. nobody should call you about your account if it is current unless its to solicit renewal. your account can be held for payment if you need it to be but not usually outside of the month. you can be called more than once a day but there can only be one voice message left. they should not threaten you about legal action because this company does not file legal- it is their policy. these are things I know as a former employee. my manager and district manager would've killed me if I treated any of our customers the way you guys have been treated. I am sorry about your bad experiences, but some people are nasty in general so it comes out very easily in this type of business. They actually provide lots of training to new employees but again, if you are under someone who has no regard for following fair debt collection practices and treating people with decency, they can try to influence you to act like them. Be sure to read up on fair debt collections and your rights because you don't have to take abuse. if you are being treated unfairly file a complaint with your state attorney general's office or send them a cease and desist letter. that way they cant call you about your account, but you can contact them as you please. hope this helps.
Even my problem is same My finance getting like this call and finance company is homecredit from gurgaon. They are threating a customer very badly they use abuse words even they harshing their family members by visiting their home.

I was loyal client in the Nacogdoches, TX store. I moved to Lufkin, TX and lost a dear friend and her granddaughter then my best friend and companion that helped me with a disability, my dog of 17 years died in my arms. My hours were cut to `12 hours a week. I was one month late, for the first time, and needed to let them know my new address. The manager was so rude and talked to me as I was dirt. The workers kids, toys, etc. were all over the place which was unbelievably unprofessional. I went in to straighten everything out, on my own. They began to call my job several times every day. I have been written up twice due to the no private business policy. One more write-up for any reason, will terminate my employment. My manager had to get on the phone and strictly tell them to stop calling me. Even when I wanted to do right, their rudeness, messages left on my phone, and breaking the very laws that protect the consumer, their constant harassment has caused me to hire and attorney and I will be asking for a settlement. Your company doesn't understand calling a person's place of employment is extremely illegal.
HOW TO DEAL WITH SECURITY FINANCE. Okay, y'all, here is the key: if you call Security Finance Corporate Office in Spartanburg, NC: [protected] and choose Option 2, for Customer Service, that person will put a "Cease and Desist" notice on your account, and the CS person will also have your branch's Regional Manager call you as well. This is GREAT news. A Cease and Desist means that SF's own corporate office is telling your branch not to call your home, not to call your cell, not to call ANY of your references, not to call your work, not to come by your work, not to come by your house. All of this nonsense STOPS INSTANTLY. I figured this out because my branch's relatively new manager is so rude, I called Corporate to report her because she hung up on me. This nice Customer Service lady at Corporate asked me if I wanted a Cease and Desist and I said HALLELUJAH, Yes! BOOM!, baby. Done and done. What happens was for the last 3 months I kept telling them I could not pay it until 3 weeks later. I am a smart lady, I can do math in my head including calendars, lol. I said It is what it is and it is not going to change. Kept calling me. Kept asking me to come in to the office because they could not extend a due date beyond 2 days unless I came in to the office. I asked, Why? Answer was some nonsense that I just "have to show your (my) face, we have to see you". I asked, What do you want me to sign? Answer was "nothing". I said so why do I have to come in to your branch to extend a due date in person if I am not there in person to sign anything? They said it was their policy. I asked if it was going to accelerate my loan (I knew being late would not. I am not behind any payment, just late) and the answer was "no". So, I said, Well then, I'm not going to do that; I am not going to go to your (dirty little) office to do anything if my signature is not required. I am sure they wanted me to come in to do some math magic and try to get me to refinance -- totally not interested. When the manager called me last week, all of this was rehashed except I had just talked to Corporate and she did not know that.
-----What to do is: 1. Call branch, get manager to give you your current balance (not the payoff). It is important you get the manager. 2. Ask the manager this question: "Can you hear me? You can understand me all right?" She will say yes. Then tell her you know you are late or are going to be late and tell her when and by what method you will pay it (drop off in night slot/call wth debit card/come in person with cash - whatever). 3. She will now begin to start cranking it up and saying you have been coming in late, what is the deal, we need you to come in and go over your finances because from what she can see, you are bringing home X amount every month so why you late? LOL. 4. Tell her unequivocally you know you are late, you are coming in this date with X amount. THEN, and this is the best part, tell her 5. I have spoken to your Corporate Office with so-and-so at whatever time, and they are putting a Cease and Desist on my account. That means you cannot call me at work, home, cell, my references, my neighbors, you cannot come to my work or to my house.
-----At this point is when my branch manager hung up on me. I called her back and said something like, I am going to go ahead and assume that it was an accident and you did not just now hang up on me. I can't remember what words flew out of her mouth, some denial or indignation or back-tracking. It doesn't matter. I then told her, NOW, I am going to finish talking. I also have the Regional Manager calling me about your branch. That was about when she told me that there were NO notes on my account that I could not pay it on the due date. I guess I should have sent it in writing and kept a copy but they would probably just say they didn't get it.
-----Bottom line from my personal experience: you do have recourse. You CAN stop their harassment. Call their Corporate Office. I must say, the Corporate Office Customer Rep and then the Regional Manager were extremely nice and courteous and professional-- total opposite. Just make sure you call Corporate, the time, the person you talked to, and asked for Cease and Desist. Then call your local branch, note the time, ask for the manager, ask her or him if they can hear you, and tell her or him when you will be in. When they start to mouth off, let them and then say, again, "Can you hear me?" When they say yes, say, All right, I am telling you again I will pay $ amount on X day via however. I have also called your Corporate and a C&D will be put on my account. I am also waiting on a call from your Regional Manager. They WILL NOT like this, and you may get hung up on. BUT, it works.
-----Last thing: if you are actually behind several payments I don't know if a C&D will work. It might. Call Corporate and ask. DO NOT ASK THE BRANCH MANAGER. Corporate Customer Service is great.
-----Good luck! And it will be a cold day in hell before I ever darken their nasty little dirty office door again!
Peace!
