I purchased a voucher for a restaurant July of 2011. The voucher was good for one year. My wife and I tried to use the voucher yesterday (Feb 2012) only to find the restaurant has been closed for some time. I contracted Seize the deal to inquire about a refund since the company was out of business and we were no longer able to use the voucher purchased. I was told according to the return policy it had been to long to get a refund. Now I am glad I only lost $7.50 on this voucher. I would have really hurt to lose the one advertised today on the sight. $800. If a business closes that is no fault of the person purchasing the vouchers. A refund should be issued.

Totally agree, 100%. How are we, the customers, supposed to be mind-readers about whether a company will stay in business? I just had the very same experience with a voucher I purchased in another state for another restaurant. Voucher has not expired, but the restaurant is out of business. The "customer service representative" (and I do use that term VERY loosely) informed me I would get no refund, but apologized for any inconvenience. Yeah right! I warn everyone to stay away from all SEIZE THE DEAL opportunities. Their policies and actions should be deemed illegal. They have basically robbed us of our money. Word of mouth goes a long way these days, and I'm sure the small amount they are stealing from us won't make up for the bad reputation they are now getting. They could learn a thing or two from Restaurant.com who ALWAYS issues a refund if the restaurant goes out of business.

Same thing happened to me today...I bought a pre-paid certificate for Eternal Salon in Billings Montana & it went out of business & the business owner Ashlie Benson Winter (she is on FB) will not respond to me & now I cannot get a refund from her or from Seize the Deal! SO ETHICALLY WRONG! This IS considered stealing in most people's eyes! And the certificate says "NO Expiration Date"...this is SOOOO misleading! I just want to warn other hard working customers about my frustrating situation with Seize the Deal / Seize the Deal Billings! Again, buyers beware...what poor customer service by Seize the Deal! My last Seize the Deal has been bought for sure! I have deleted my account with them!

I purchased a Quiznos voucher for a single location that was good through 2014. That location closed last week without any heads-up so I'm unable to use my voucher. I wrote to customer service and requested a refund on my purchase price but was told their policy is not to refund after 90 days no matter the situation. In other words, it is too bad that I bought a certificate that is good for over another year but due to no fault of my own, I will not be able to use it.

I called customer service hoping that they would reconsider their policy and spoke to Andrew Hamilton, the manager of Customer Service. I clearly and calmly explained the situation to Mr. Hamilton and explained how I would like it to be resolved. Mr. Hamilton was very clear that he did not wish to make any effort on the behalf of the company to resolve the problem. I should add that this was not the only time I have purchased from Seize the Deal...I have been a very loyal customer since their inception. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for them. I would suggest their are many more deal voucher sites that will treat you with respect and value you as a customer...I hope you choose well.
