Shannon Medical Hospital review: ER staff physically assaulted me

On 10/18/2023 I went to Shannon Ear about 4pm. I was accompanied by my 75 year old mother. This was my 2nd trip of the day. I received care earlier that morning but my condition worsened so I returned to the ER. When I arrived I was taken by wheelchair to the triage desk. There was a young Hispanic male working at the desk. He could obviously tell I was in distress. My muscles were contracting my hands into fist and my nails were digging into the palm of my hands. Because of this I was defenseless against my attacker. He proceeded to pry my index finger on my left hand to attach the pulse ox. I told him he was hurting me but he wouldn’t stop. He then did the same thing to my right index finger as I screamed in pain. This time I suffered a laceration to my finger where his fingernail cut my nickel. The girl working with him tried to take me to a room but he told her no and placed me in the lobby while several other people were taken back. My mother asked him to take me to a room and was told there wasn’t any while he kept taking others back. While sitting in the wheelchair in the lobby me muscles began to seize up all over. The male employee came over and ripped of my glasses and squirted a clear liquid in my eyes causing them to become red and burn. After this I fled from the ER and was taken by my family to another hospital in another town. There I was admitted immediately with severe dehydration, critically low potassium and magnesium and RSV. This is a dangerous facility with violent staff that pray on helpless and sick people.
