We purchased two American Shorthair cats from Julie Johnson of Silvermark Cattery and never received registration papers. It has been over a month now and we have sent her NUMEROUS emails and left several voicemails, but she has completely ghosted us. She has not lived up to her grand promises on her sale contract posted on her website. She as been completely unresponsive and unreliable.
Desired outcome: registration papers and return phone calls
We've purchased 2 kitties from her in the last 2 years also. Same story as yours with both cats. We really like the kitties but she's a little bit flakey! Her whole breeding method and the number of cats she has in that townhome is crazy!
We love the cat sisters in spite of this dishonest lowlife breeder... Julie Johnson lied to us every step of the way during the entire transaction. Just another scumbag breeder; and there are too damn many!

I don't know Julie, and I have never done any business with her, but I do want to speak to a possible cause in the delay in registration papers. I am also a breeder who registers kittens with CFA (Cat Fancier's Association). You should be aware that CFA has recently changed it's registration platform which has made new litter registrations take MUCH MUCH longer. Breeders used to be able to download the registration slips immediately using the online interface. We cannot do this anymore. Now all new litter registrations are getting caught up in a "pending review" queue on CFA's side. This is very frustrating for both the breeders and families. -- may not change anything about this particular transaction, but it is something families should be aware of.
