My brother bought the license to an existing company for his wife called speaking roses. The company claimed that they own the patent and that if anyone does the same they can be put out of business. There are so many companies doing what they do. My brother paid $30, 000.00 and the same product is selling for $1500.00.
It is a system that is not working for the licensees. They are just selling these licenses and it clearly a system that is not working. They use video and images from different websites to promote this business.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I have heard of this company and advise everyone to do research and enquire further about their patents, they claimed they have worlwide patents but alot of companies say this in order to scare off the competition.
I would insists that if you are looking to deals with them then do some basic research and ask them if a patent has been granted for their region. If not then you are not doing anything wrong by purchasing equipment elsewhere.

John, apparently you didn't do the research! their patents they don't just cover printing on flowers but also covers printing on fruits as well. I have been with them for 3 years and in the beginning we started slow, because my wife was pregnant, but now we do this full time! If you put your products on the classifieds on facebook ads and do a little boost! wow! you better get ready for the orders! we work from our garage, and do online sales, fundraising and corporate sales! That's plenty of work for us! So of course you need to work to make things happen, and nothing happen overnight! but in the first 6 months one of our orders was for $ 14, 000 dollars ! it was for the gran opening of a mall in town and they wanted to emotionally connect with their community, and they knew the our product with the message could be in home for at least 5-7 days! Best Day ever!
If you look critically at the website, you will recognize the type of promotion often associated with parting people with as much money as the law will allow. What angers me most about speaking roses and their ilk, is the complete lack of conscience in targeting and taking most commonly, the life savings of hard-working individuals only wanting to make a better place for their families.
I HOPE that people will think long and hard about giving up $30, 000, and then setting out to sell stamped roses, and the sheer number that one needs to sell, just to break even at the original investment.
This company is one of the best I've ever worked with you can get started for way less the $30'000 and any company is going to cost you . These people are so very helpful there teem are always there for you and if you do what they teach you you can do well I do .
I agree this is a very very bad investment I would discourage anyone from this "opportunity" You will never get your money back out of it

Speaking Roses is not a fraudulent business. They have indeed many patents granted. What is a fraud is the chinese Quingdao company that use the name speaking roses to sell their printer machines. Thanks.
I have been dealing with a member from speaking roses for about 1 year now and have nothing bad to say and only excellent reviews.
I suffered a very bad back injury and has lead to a bad infection after my operation. That's the only thing stopping me for now to buying there product.
I am prepared to outlay $80, 000 for the full package that's how confident I am in there product.
The staff have been unbelievably friendly and helpful.
Most IMPORTANT is to have a business Plan of what market you want to tackle, go seek your customers first to see if you can sell the product, get prices from different flower distributor's. Once your happy them purchase or hire a sales rep to do the selling for you.
I f you are planning to buy this system and put it in one florist then you will only be able to sell to who comes it your shop so get out there and let people know who you are and what you offer

Being working with this company for 2 years. Great people and they have an awesome program. The floral industry is huge, you just need an small % of your market and you can do very well. This is a combination between flowers, gifts and promotional products, so your succes will depend on you.

The team at Speaking roses have been fantastic in the support they give. in my opinion, they under promised and over delivered in every aspect of the business. Im sorry you had an indifferent experience with them, however I have nothing but great things to say about the company and the product. Im making money and making my customers happy - isnt that want business is about?
I purchased a Speaking Roses distributorship about 18 months ago. I have had nothing but great support from the company. They always answer my questions ASAP no matter how silly they may be. My biggest problem was where to focus my time and energy since there are so many possibilities of where to go with this product. Once I committed to a solid game plan, my revenues have been above my expectations. I have had great success with Convention centers and events. I have made sure every event planner and wedding planner within a 50 mile radius of where I live now know my name and I am getting calls on a regular basis.. I have just recently made a deal with our biggest local flower shop and am now tapping into their database of thousand of customers. All of this did not happen over night but it has been a great feeling to watch my business grow month after month.
I was surprised to read some of the negative comments posted here and all I can say this is like any other business, you have to go out and work it to make good revenues. It has been great to offer a product that has no competition and I see nothing but positive growth for years to come

Guys, this is like any other business! I learned about Speaking Roses in Panama and then in Oman a while ago, they have some beautiful stores in those countries! I bought these flowers for my wedding a year ago and then 6 months ago, my wife decided that she wanted to start a business, so we went with Speaking Roses!
Of course like any other business you need to make things happen! we didn't start with a store, but instead she decided to start from home! We are now selling the roses on Bars, Restaurants and a few places with the phrase "THIS BUD IS FOR YOU", people love them!, we sell between 5-10 roses per night at $7, 99 a piece and we now have over 25 places! so like any other business, it requieres commitment and a plan! Soon we are open our online store . Love the product, love the team at Speaking Roses and their support!
By the way, now even Coke and m&m have personalized products!

I see all the complaints here and i have been with Speaking Roses for 8 years. I have had good luck with them. The machine is patented even a simple google result shows that ( us patent number US7089860) . As long as you do the training and follow the instructions it works great. It took a week to learn the curve but after that it's been great. Support is awesome, and people in my area people love it! Stop complaining a business costs money to run. It's an investment. I'd gladly pay for a good quality flower printer, not a cheap made Chinese piece of crap that has NO support.
I have recently bought the license of Speaking Roses. I am really happy to know that it is a very comprehensive business model and it has really good marketplace. I am loving its unique and innovative concept. I am quite hopeful regarding the great future prospects for my business.

Hiya, sure, I have left the details in the comments below. The machines they show you is not what they actually give you. Also, no way on earth can you print 400 in one hour. It’s complete manual thing and not a machine. I researched on their patent and it’s not what thI y say. Do a bit of research and you will see what exactly is patented. I have faced a lot of problems. They replaced my machines and it’s still the same. I got in touch with others in the U.K. who bought this and they had the same problem as well as they are in loss. Not a single one has made any profit. You can get in touch with people and know their name experience. I could never start the business with those machine and you do need a lot of space for it. It’s so messy. The China machines look way better and are digital. I can only advice and highly suggest not falling into this. I would be happy to speak to you and show what they actually send peopl and what’s the problem. Would be good if you could see their demo and then I can actually show you what is delivered.

I do read your interactions and take note. I also want to start up a franchise business with Speaking Roses. I came across a link where it offered to invest a minimum of $1500. However, in terms of differences in currencies, it still is a big sum of money for me. Yet, I am ready to invest in it provided I get further precise and useful information about it. Nevertheless, as a beginner I do have a couple of questions though :
1. How far is buying the licence/patent trustworthy ? Is there any guarantee that I will have full rights over it and not be sued afterwards ?
2. If Speaking Roses is about printing on flowers, then convince me why I should invest $1500 in this business franchise instead of just buying a printing machine, ordering for the raw materials and getting the job done ?

well because it is patent and you will get into lots of trouble when you get busted.

my wife and i started last year and i had the same questions, however, once we got started and into their program it's a lot more than that. They walk you through the complete process, giving you tips on making it faster, and how to sell. i was doing it my own way for the first few months and we were frustrated and had no business, but after speaking with the team and going through the training a bit more thoroughly, i followed their methods to a t and withina few months business turned around almost immediately. i've changed a few things to fit our locale but otherwise i don't think we'd be where we're at without their help.

I would request people not to fall for the advertisements made on speaking roses. I have had major issues. They sold me a license with defective machines. The machines they advertise and actually send are simple different. No way on earth can you produce 400 printed roses from those. Their sales reps are all on commission basis and once sold would not even be bothered to reply to you. I could not do any business and now I am stuck with my money with them because their machines are fully manual and quite cheap. They will ask you to sign a no refund contract hence, you get locked. I have raised a complaint with the Business Bureau of Utah as well against me. To be sure if it’s only me or are there more like me, I contacted a lot of other licensees in the UK and they have the exact same issue. In fact, speaking roses have sold the same license to some for double the price.
I totally disagreed with you! I am sad that you have a bad experience ! we have been their customers for almost 10 years ! We were one of their first customers and we have use all of their equipments and yes now they are manual, but they work wonderful! we try some of their automatic equipment in the early days but those were only made for high volume, so those equipments were not very friendly to produce a lot of personalized orders! their knew equipments are a lot easier to use and you can make personalized orders a lot faster!
Like in every business, there is a price to pay and there is a learning curve and this guys have always, always been there for us! Like i mention in other peoples questions, you have to be willing to learn the process and from there on, you can sell and grow as much as you want, literally! i mean we have to decide how many dozens we want to sell for some occasions, because when you ask a guy, " would you like to buy regular flowers to your wife? or would you like to have your message on the flowers for her?" the percentage is around 70% want the flowers personalized! Again, i am sorry that it didn't work for you!, for us now is our full time job!

Also, it’s not patent worldwide. They have only patented the printing through a manual method hence, China and ith r counties have come up with printers and automatic machines.

I just post a comment about our story! scroll down and read, but basically this is just like any other business! if you work, you obtain results! if you don't they flowers will never sell by themselves! for us, it started as part time and now we do have a store!

There is always people selling machines, so you could search and wait until you get an opportunity, but my recommendation is if you can buy new and go to their corporate offices to be train, you will receive all the guarantees, and this guys are top notch! they are super high class people, they will always support you and guarantee their stuff, no questions ask! One time we receive an Ink that it was broken during shipping, it wasn't even their fault and they send me a new one right away, and a second one just because they wanted to make sure i was happy! We love spreading the joy in our community! WE love doing fundraising with the schools and have an army of kids selling for us!

We bought a Machine from China! and it's just a waste of your time, don't do it! we have been a Speaking Roses Customer for almost 9 years and this guys know what they are doing! there equipment is very reliable! it's manual but it's very effective! we can print around 3-4 roses per minute in a production setting! so around 200 roses per hour! you could go faster but that paste works great for us! my son did print around 395 roses in one hour! but we are older so, we cant keep up!

Me and my wife started Speaking Roses in 2008, the people there have always been super supportive! We actually received our training in their corporate offices, they really make you feel like a family and support you all the way through! we started at home and little by little we grow our part time business into a full store ! So like any other business you have to learn the process! our customers love our product and we have been able to impact the life of thousands of people! So when i read negative comments the first thing that comes to my mind is, those people were just looking for a quick way to make money and not willing to learn the process! For us, Speaking Roses has been a blessing! and the team have always support our backs ! My wife and I, we now do this full time and we love selling a product that spread Joy to others!
I purchased Speaking Roses about a year ago after my kids started going to school. I was so lost on how to start a business, but their team walked me through it step by step and showed me all the different opportunities that I had just in my area!
I started off just doing business for friends and family, but I've recently expanded my business to online and I've started working with a local Event planner to do prints for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and more, and she has been introducing me to other floral designers as well. The machine is easy to use so far, and doesn't show any signs of wear and tear. I can prop it on my kitchen counter for a few hours, then stow it away once the kids are home and focus on them.

I love my Speaking Roses Business! I've been doing it for a few years now and the support has been awesome. It's not hard to get started as long as you have the drive, and the team has always been there to help me with any issues I have. Personally I've been using the business to have some extra cash for going out with friends or paying off debts, but next year I'm planning on expanding the business and making it full time once I graduate college.

I started a few years ago with help from my parents since I'm at college and wanted to earn some extra money without being tied down to the 9-5 life. I took more time to study the training, but once I got started it was much easier than I expected! There is a learning curve, but the team has helped me with every question that I've had and I couldn't be happier. I've only been doing the business for some extra cash here and there, or to help pay the bills, but next year I plan on graduating and even though this was only supposed to be a temporary business, I plan on expanding it a lot next year, especially since they've just announced some new machines!

Their technology is patented and you won't find a printer that works the same way. However, you have to undergo training to learn how to properly use it. I did and it's paying dividends now.
Well, I purchased their license for one sole reason. It gave me two markets to do business with - promotional product market and greeting card market. And to be honest, everything turned out exactly the way I though it would. I have no complains. I am making enough money.
