They purchased my mortgage from Wells Fargo, back in February of 2018. I have been
paying my mortgage weekly for years. i made one payment through their website, and now pay weekly through bill pay from my bank. After constant harrasment calls from these incompetent workers, who all have different stories, they are now saying the monies i am paying is going to my principal and i have to make a full payment within a week. Yet my principal is not going down. I should be over a month ahead and now i am behind, they say. Where are my payments going? AS i said my principal is not going down, yet that is where all these payments are going. They are ignorant on the phone when you call them out on their deceiving lies. I am now in process of refinancing just to get away from this company. I would like to know of the class action lawsuit, i definately want to be a part of this. They should be shut down.

Specialized Loan Servicing/letters deliberately confusing being an attorney over 45 years Specialized Loan Servicing main objective/confuse the living hell out of each one of their customers they're so confused they got to find a lawyer to figure out the letters all about and what the hell they want and they keep sending you this same damn letter multiple times takes you an hour on the phone just to talk to a live person then another 45 minutes to try to clarify what they want once you do they play games they say you have no insurance then they find out you do if they made it easy they wouldn't have a job

It started last November 2017 I was on a so called payment plan to catch up my mortgage payments I stuck to the plan and in May 2018 they sent my mortgage payment back to me and said that I owed them 6000 dollars and they said that I was in foreclosure and I had not made a payment in 4 months I was trying to tell them that I had proof of my payments and they did not listen to me so finally they said they would put me on another payment plan I agreed because I wanted to stay in my house I had to give them 2 payments of 1537 in May and 2574.83 on 0621/2018 and 2574.83 on 07/212018 they told me this would bring me current they called me on 06/28/2018 and again told me I owned them 6000 again this time I had payment conformation from them back in May of 2018 then they said that my payments just came up on his computer screen so after all that I ask him that after my last payment for 2574.83 on 0721/2018 I would be current he then said no I will owe 3065.00 He said that they calculated wrong but I have no documentation from them my monthly statements my balance for my payments keeps going up every month even though I am making payments I told them this and he said that I can get it at there web site which is never up to date I do not know what to do at this point do you have any option that I could pursue.
I am still having problems with them.
SLS has a very flawed administrative system. The employees are mostly incompetent. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. As of 12-19-18, the better business bureau as 407 complaints filed against SLS! Their phone system does not have extension numbers for their employees and therefore, you will never talk to same employee twice. If you ask the same question to three different employees, you will get three different answers.

This company is nothing but a scam. They bought my mortgage from Wells Fargo back in Feb of 2018. I have been paying my mortgage weekly, as an agreement with Wells Fargo. Since SLS has purchased this loan, i have had nothing but phone calls and harrassment, they constantly saying i m late. They told me i can make my payments on their website monthly, if i want to make extra payments on website, towards principal. They go through western union for that part, so there is a fee. To pay your mortgage? I just went through bill pay from my bank to continue to pay weekly, now they are saying i can't do this and they are not taking the money out of principal that they put in. This money should have been put in suspense account and left there until full payment is made. Now that i am 3 weeks into July 2018, they put all my payments into principal and are telling me i have to make a full payment by august 1. Mind you in feb. i made a full payment and weekly payments just so i would be ahead of the game. They keep telling me my money is taking my principal down, but i don;t see a change in my principal balance. So where is all this money going? They purchased my loan as is. How can they tell me i can only make monthly payments, when i have been doing weekly payments for years. They even charged me a late payment, which they did take back. Had i not been on top of these people it would have put a mark on my credit. At this time i am pursuing a refinance with another company. I just want to pay my mortgage on time on a weekly basis. By me doing this i m paying less interest on the loan, i guess they are afraid they will loose a dollar. Greed...

You can read more about my SLS complaint at Becky's Consumer Chronicles on Facebook (getting state and federal regulators to address a problem is a numbers game, so I'm attempting to accumulate complaints), but here is the short story: Mortgage transferred from Wells Fargo in February 2018. All mortgage payments made and information supplied to SLS, yet they refuse to correct the problem. Started getting collection calls before the ink was even dry on the purchase agreement between Wells and SLS.
I'm convinced-- and you will be too, if you read even a fraction of the online complaints about this company-- that they deliberately screw up mortgage payments in the hope that they can foreclose and make money off the suffering of homeowners.
I am getting ready to make a complaint against SLS with the NYS Attorney General's office. My loan was transferred to SLS approximately 2 years ago. I read the Google reports about this company and, from the beginning, have sent payments by Certified Mail, Return Receipt early enough so that the payments would be received before the 1st of the following month. I have never been late with a payment. I have never missed a payment.
Imagine my dismay, when I received a notice from SLS saying that I owed almost $400 in late payment fees! I have records of all my payments and they were not late.
It turns out that they misapplied my monthly payment for May, 2017. Since then, all my payments have been "late". Of course, I didn't get any kind of notification of the problem - which was their mistake. They are not doing anything to fix the problem, either.
At this point, either the State Attorney Generals need to take action against the company, or there needs to be a Class Action Lawsuit for their illegal practices.
management of my 2nd mortgage
I have been in discussions with the above company since last August. In order to pay down my second mortgage, in August, 2017 I started increasing my payment by approximately $650/month. Instead of applying this extra amount, they decided to place the excess amount to CWA (Curtailment Posted with a Payment via Autopost). Subsequently I was informed that I didn't need to make the next payment.
When I sent a letter to them on 11/19/17, I informed them that they had applied my payment to both Interest and Principal on the entire amount.
In that same letter, I requested a copy of all payments since August, 2017, which they did send but none of my payments were recorded correctly.
In the meantime, I received my 1098 showing an incorrect amount of interest paid. When I called them and asked for a corrected 1098, I was told that they would have to go back to the August, 2017 payments and correctly categorize them which will reduce the amount of interest I paid.
It is now March 31, 2018 and I still have not heard from them so in order to file my income taxes in a timely manner, I will change the amount of the interest that they sent me to the correct amount because I have not received a corrected 1098. When I talked to them on the phone, Customer Support indicated that a note was placed on my account that all extra monies paid were to be applied to the actual note, but she informed me that they don't always follow those instructions.
I think they need to hire more capable people, and not some ignoramous employees so accounts can be maintained.

Sls continues to service a loan transferred to it without proper documents from ditech. They ignore warnings that the loan has no proof of collateral (can not produce title) since nov 2017 i've asked for a copy of title, they continue to "research" with no response or outcome. This was explained to them but no action was taken: I asked ditech in aug 2016 to refinance my loan. 3months after back and forth, I was denied because I could not provide them with title to my manufactured home. This is a document they hold, not me (until the loan is paid off). I found out the re-finance process had been cancelled by my loan officer when I called ditech's c/s for an update on the process because the loan officer would not return my calls/messages. After continuing to request refinancing or help to locate the "required" (also found out about applying for a surety bond because the title didnt exist because the manufacturer didnt send a certificate of origin to the dealer or closing attorney's in the original loan with abn-amro (the original mortgage co.) documents and made complaints against the loan officer (who refused to help at all with the surety bond), ditech "transferred" my loan to sls in nov. 2017. My request to sls asking them to refuse to accept this fraudulent loan fell on deaf ears.
Sls told me they don't refinance, but could use someone else if I had a title, which they can't seem to locate.
Complained to the cfpb, and received an apology from ditech.
Complained to freddie mac jan. 2018: checking into it.
Spoke to a (local) attorney jan 2018: he didn't have a clue; told me to call a friend of his who could find a title if it existed... (guess he wasnt listening when I told him there was no _-_- title)
Desirable resolution: class action against ditech-sls. The only reasonable action companies like these understand... Loss of profit
mortgage - payment of insurance proceeds
My home was destroyed by fire. Understandably sls holds on to the money to ensure their interest is protected paying out as the construction goes along. That being said, they only keep an amount equal to the loan amount.in this case, they themselves told me they would be returning 61k within 10 days. They received my total loss payment more than two months ago. I've made call after call, and there is always a new excuse why they haven't sent the money. I also continue to pay my mortgage. There is simply no reason to hold on to these funds. What i've had to do is use a home equity line and pay interest on a 41k down payment to the builder to begin construction on my home. I expect i'm going to continue to have to do this each time there is a draw because the builder can't wait for months to receive payments.

Nationstar transferred my loan to this company 12/18/2017. I've spoken to a lady named bridgitte, she is so nasty talks over you and argues. I asked to speak to her supervisor she states she has no supervisor. Which is bs. I call back 10 minutes later get another rep who was so pleasant transferred to to a supervisor right away and I left a message. This is over a week ago. No supervisor called me. I had to call this company back I got nasty rep bridgitte, she's being nasty talking over me and flat out rude and unprofessional due to my bad experiences with this woman. I hope she's terminated she's the nastiest person i've ever dealt with. She interjects, argues, and has a crazy demeanor. Again, sls needs to rid her. I called back spoke to a helen, she transferred me to a superviser right away and I had to leave a message. Let's see if I get a phone call. I've seen numberous complaints in this sls company
added mortgage fees
My mortgage was recently transfer to sls in november and on my statement an added fee for $540.42. I call to inquire of the fee and was told it for a lawyer. I ask the representative of sls when did I get this lawyer who requested this lawyer and what did the lawyer did? I was then told that the fees was transfer from dictech. I called ditech and was told to call residential credit solution. By the who the same representative answer but just a different number I spoke to the head person on 11/23/2017 who will try to rectify the matter but no solution. I called 2 days ago the matter is not rectify as yet.. How can I get this matter resolved.

My name is mike mccormick and I live in cypress tx, a suburb of houston. My loan was sold by bank of america to sls in december of 2016 and in march of 2017, I was informed by sls that they had unilaterally purchased flood insurance on the property at a cost to me of $2, 200. I informed sls that I had lived at the property for 21 years and that this is not the first time the loan had been sold.in no prior instance did any lender require us to purchase flood insurance.in our more than 2 decades at this location, we have experienced 3 hurricanes and countless tropical storms and in no instance had we ever flooded.in july, because we are on auto pay for our mortgage, sls took the money for the flood insurance out of our account without permission. I contacted chase bank and got the charge reversed and paid the agreed upon mortgage that we had been timely paying for years. I also sent sls fema flood maps demonstrating that we are not in the fema designation that sls said we are in, as well as a statement from our home owners carrier to the effect, "there is no way your lender should be trying to charge you for flood insurance." sls then began placing derogatory marks on our credit such that both my wife's credit and mine fell by 100 points, thereby impacting our borrowing power. Specifically, we are trying to refinance our family farm and that has been impacted and our ability to barrow on terms available to those with higher credit scores is no longer available. We now have three consecutive months of derogatory credit reports for failure to timely pay our mortgage when in fact we have paid the mortgage, but not the flood insurance portion.in the middle of this dispute, houston experienced the effects of hurricane harvey, a category 5 hurricane that resulted in epic flooding in the area. The greater houston area witnessed rainfall amounts ranging from 31 to 56 inches. Our neighborhood experienced 41 inches of rain. This was a 1000 year flooding event. We did not flood. I sent pictures taken at the height of the storm and uploaded another letter with the photographs onto the sls www.mycoverageinfo.com website, and confirmed receipt of it with sls and sls has still not responded. I have communicated orally with three separate representatives of sls and in writing 3 times, once by certified mail and twice through the above-referenced website. I have had no response and the derogatory credit marks continue. This is outrageous.
I should be credited for all late charges; all derogatory credit marks should be removed; an apologetic letter should be provided that I can provide to the credit bureaus to repair our credit and sls should be required to pay the premium to the credit repair service I have engaged to fix this problem ($240 per month for the next 4-6 months).
sls will not refund over overpayment
November 4th 2016 I made my regular payment via electronic check. I was making the payments for my mother in which her name was on this account. Sls then contacted my mother on november 28th and demanded another payment in which she paid over the phone as they said they would report negatively on her credit report. I have sent numerous verification that there was a double payment made. They have given both of us the run around and refuse to return the overpayment. That's what you get for always paying on time. Do not do any business with this company. Does anybody know how to find the right information to do something about this. These big companies need to stop ripping people off. Stop sls. Please spread the word. I won't stop until I get my hard earned money back!

I received a letter stating our mortgage was being transferred to sls in dec 2016. Received no welcome letter in which they stated they would be sending after calling them for days trying to figure out what was going to happen, all I got was a recording about the welcome letter which I received jan 5. 2017. Spoke with 4 different individuals about my loan, they couldn't or wouldn't tell me a thing. I was trying to find out if my house payment had been posted to my account. They still wouldn't tell me a damn thing. I called them today which is jan 7 and I got a recording and my payment still has not posted and I sent it through my bank. The bank states it went through on the 4th. I am so done with this so called mortgage company.., getting me a lawyer!

I had to retire back in 2007 at that time my mortgage was with countrywide mortgage I tried for a home modification next thing I know bank of america had my mortgage started over with them trying to get same, then next thing I know once again sol's now has my mortgage and they are very nasty told me they are foreclosing on my house I did all the paper work hardship, financial, informed them of why I was requesting a modification. Did not care.
I was in the same boat as you. Apparenty you were not qualified for the law suit that Obama filed on behalf of Hispanic and blacks... We did a deed in leiu when we found my husband was dying 2-15. Bank of America sent me a 1099 in 2016, I filed my loss of 18000, to find out in July my house was being foreclosed on by SLS. I have filed with so many agency's and no one cares about the double dipping that is going on and tax payers are eating the cost. At my age I did not want a bankruptcy on my records so I hired a law firm $6000 later which did nothing but take my money. Then I filed the paperwork with SLS, and could never get in writing the loan motivations. Verbally I got my new payments would be $1135. per month. when my old payments were $765. If I could not afford 765 who in there right mind, made me go through all those hoops. When giving the house back to bank of America in 2015 we owned 97, 000 House appraised at 79, 000. In the 9 years that we hat owned the house we had never been late in payment. In the 8year and 5 months that bank of America locked us out after signing the deed in Lieu, the home was squatted in and worth only what someone would pay for a house in Florida with not water or electric for 1.5yrs. My loan is being serviced by the above company, after buyout from one west bank, original loan was with indy mac bank, I have requested numerous times for pay histories, pay off amounts, copy of loan, all to no avail, this loan should have been paid out this year., they keep billing saying we are over $2000.00 behind in payments we have made a payment every month., cannot get any legit answers regarding any of the above info. How do we join the class action lawsuit, to get the info that we need, or if loan is paid in full.
I have been dealing with these people since 2013 and they always say they never received any faxes or emails containing information they requested. They foreclosed on the property and sold it at auction on may 2, 2017. It was sold to the next door neighbor and done in such a way that it was treated as a private sale. Luckily I have every email and all faxes with the confirmation that it was sent. The neighbor went to the house and changed the locks. I am attempting to have the sale rescinded do to a fraudulent sale. They also advertised the wrong address. I can't get a copy of the payoff or the sale amount or anything else from them. They closed my access to the account on the website, but luckily i had the foresight to screen shot and print all the information from the site.

I have been dealing with this company since 2/2015 with absolutely no response to our concerns at all. Loan transferred to them (from e-trade...) as soon as we were discharged from bk ch13 - added $21, 000+ (yeah...) of unexplained "past due" payments since 2010 — - we were in bankruptcy!
Have filed endless complaints: cpfb / colorado attorney general / dept of financial services... Nothing — - no answers. These agencies do not do anything...
I was told "by them.." to try any refinance with another lender...
How can I refinance with somebody else when they've added over $21, 000

Yeah they did the same ### ð© to me for 17, 000, you know chase went down for some hanky ### and now they have there LOANs serviced by these crooks. Hmm coincidence, I think not. They got funded in 2008 for sellind bad LOANs. And now the ones that got away they are trying to foreclose on, so refi with someone else or sell your home. And get what you can out of it.
misrepresentation
We are senior citizens who got caught in the real estate upset back in 2006. We ended up paying too much for one house and practically giving the old house away. So, for nine years, we used savings to keep going. The savings ran out in 2015 about the same time my mother developed severe macular degeneration. The real estate market in our area was still depressed so selling was not an answer at the time. We decided our only route was to move closer to my mother and we contacted chase bank to tell them we were turning the house over to them, even though we had approximately $70, 000 invested in it.
Chase told us there was a "process" we had to follow and we did even though it meant sending and resending personal documents over and over again. Just as we expected a resolution, chase turned our mortgage over to sls, with the assurance they would have all the documentation we had provided. This was not so.
Once again, months of sending and resending documents that were "misplaced", "out of date", "lost", "never received", "not properly filled out". The final straw came when they said they didn't have our application. During these months, we received calls from different sls people who all had different ideas and suggestions. One even told us we could receive up to $10, 000 when the process was completed. We were assigned four different agents to "help" us but never did receive a call from any of those. We keep receiving papers with increased costs added on and we are told that even though there is a lock on the house and we could not have access if wanted, that we are still responsible for it. This appears to be a scam of the worst kind as if the house had been put up for sale immediately, the bank may have made money. Now it has sat all this time and it appears the intention of sls was simply to drag things out as long as possible and make life as miserable as possible.

Client # [protected] just as every one is stating the problems with sls, my husband and I are included. But whay really gets me is that you can call into sls and try to work these problems out with them. Home owners are seeking a little help, respect, diligence, kindness and on occasions sympathy when trying to work out the problems or speaking to staff members of sls. I recently called in to the resolution dept. To discuss the same problems sls has, that paperwork requested was missing (not so of course). Wanting to be informed of the status of our modification paperwork. I spoke with the rep. Teller # 14177 lacresa, this person representing sls was anything but helpful totally rude, over speaking, sarcastic, uncaring to any situations of an sls customer. All I could get from this rep. Was the reading of the company script provided to sls employees. When asking what else is it that I can provide and to go over what mistakes that could be corrected, her only interest was script reading. And being very much over bearing, not interested in what happens in the prcess. We plan to request, if we may be lucky enough to be transferred to another sls representative in the resolution dept. That may have a better attitude, understanding and experience to handle our modification process.

My home was purchased in 05 and that lender was red rock mortgadge after I purchased the home they sold the loan to hsb beneficial and then sold to hsbc and hsbc sold to caliber home loans and caliber sold the loan to sls loan servicers who are tried to forclose once and then recinded caliber tried to for close twice and recinded it we were denied a loan modification from sls and they now have a sale date of may the twentieth and our attorneys are now trying to sew the lender we just are tired we want a 30 year loan and a principle reduction can some one help us with that and a decent loan for our home my phone number is [protected] john they haven't even gave us a bill for the mortgadge and they cant prove ownership but they do have a sale date for may the twentieth of 2016 they cant prove that they own the property hsbc mortgadge caused me a heart attack calling up to 28 times per day the loan has been proven to be predatory lending and dual tracking but they refuse to give us a decent fixed 30 year loan on the home they want to still the equiety we have worked so hard to attain will you please call me in the evenings [protected]

I want to also ad that if sls is doing dirty business then why are they still in business at this time I would think that the fbi or some other entity would have done something by now I know that I very much am serious about the law suit that I went and filed because they refused me a loan mod and as far as I can see they went above and beyond what the president said about the harp and all of the stuff that the president was saying to give people with a hard ship a loan mod they declined mine and that's why I am sueing them and I at this time want to take this to the supreme courts and lets get the media involved at this point some thing has to be done they are not above the law call [protected]
if sls loan serviceing is smokeing and drinking alcohol during the buissness hours they should have their buts sued off and loose the business ... some one call the consumer affairs and the Denver bar association and the senator for that town and the police and the media and the fbi and start with that and then figure out whats really going on
