I had to get the upgraded modem for my home phone. I never had any problems with the last straight talk home device and I persuaded many of my neighbors to get this service; however, the upgraded box is a disaster. The phone may work for 2 days, then it's off for 5 days. Very inconvenient when one is waiting for the doctor to call back to schedule surgery. The phone is working, but I can only call my parents, and now I can no longer access my voicemail and no one is able to call me without hearing "this number has a restricted list" which I did not create. 911 isn't even working. The upgraded box is a disaster. I may have to go back to AT&T because at least people can call me, I can get messages from my voicemail, and I can actually call people other than my folks.

Desired outcome: I would like to be able to make phone calls, local and long distance, access my voicemail messages, and receive phone calls. In other words, I want my service to work.

Part 2...I cannot make any calls, including 911, nor can anyone call me. Every time I ask the agent to just send me another modem for my home phone, they have refused. I just had surgery, so now the pharmacist can't call me, my doctor can't call me, and I cannot make follow-up appointments. The newly upgraded home phone modem is a total and complete disaster.

My house phone began working, again, on November 29th, 2022 around 9 pm. I am praying I can get through next month without having to call the helpline again. I would like to thank the young lady who finally got it to work. She was #8. Meaning, the 8th person I had to call to help with the upgrade. On a positive note, I do have a straight talk cellphone, and I have NEVER had an issue.

24 hours later, the home phone modem is not working, again. But yet, the company won't send me a new modem.

Resolved

No, the complaint has not been resolved. With approval, the representative was supposed to call me back on my cellphone for a new home phone modem. No one has called. I have called and called, and I do not understand why someone would say the issue has been resolved when I am still paying money for this phone; however, I cannot make or receive phone calls, check my voicemail messages, or dial 911 for an ambulance. The issue is not resolved. PLEASE send me another modem.
