TalkSpace Therapy

To whom it may concern,

I have subscribed on June 3rd of 2021 for the Talkspace messaging services 260USD, using a coupon code where I actually paid 60USD, this service was supposed to be active for one month.

I was having some issues with scheduling a free 10 mn session that was included in the subscription and contacts Talkspace support services on the date of June 3rd They took a week to respond and during which I was surprised that instead of my issue being resolved my service was cut-off on the 14th of June, keeping in mind that it was supposed to be active until July 4th. They had informed me that 60USD was credited to my account, however, I was not able to access said 60USD and their support services weren't able to effectively communicate to resolve the issue. I have emailed multiple times letting them know that they can either reinstate my subscription or offer me a full refund on my card.

Neither solution was followed-up with and their support services were unresponsive for a week, then I had asked them to perform the above solutions or I will be forced to seek legal action against them and that is on the 18th of June, and they have not responded since.

I now am attempting to seek legal action against them, as I was provided with no services for the paid amount except for a few messages from the therapist that was merely introductory.

TalkSpace Online Therapy

On 4/2/22, I paid for an online consultation. I later found out that I did not live in the right area to see the Doctor I was set up to see. My address was properly listed on my account. I was still charged 149.00 dollars. I was told that I would receive a refund. I still have not gotten a refund and it is 5/31/22.

TalkSpace Paid for service and was never serviced and asked for my full refund

Hi, since I have joined talk space, we have had one session. We have booked and received confirmation that we would have a session on (therapist was a no call No show) 4/13/22 at 5pm and 4/19/22 at 6pm We would like a refund for this lack of service. We are not being served and we have emailed the therapist the day of letting her know that we were waiting not to mention we pay for a interpreter so that we can make sure that my husband understands questions and comfortability. We are very disappointed about the service and frustrated because our marriage is at a fragile state. We would like a refund and we are currently looking moving on with a different organization due to talk space unable to assist or support our needs.

When we go to the refund process they say we only get $77.75 when we paid $311 and only got ONE service from the lady and was a no call no show on 2 confirmed dates. That is unacceptable service why would we give money away for what service?

Desired outcome: NO ONE HAS EMAILED BE BACK INCLUDING THE THERAPIST WHEN I EMAILED HER ON MY LAST TWO SESSIONS SHE MISSED.

The one thing they care about i$$$$$$$ guess what ...the USUAL and that is MUCHO possibly completely unearned money from my pocket into theirs. The only serious questio on the forst 2 pages

and by the way if you wanna stary therapy with a threat, please try to get hired at walmart, the whole concept is a threat

TalkSpace Talkspace

Requested cancellation of service to both doctor and support team for month of March and my credit card was still charged. Talkspace does not offer customer service via phone at this point. Please refund for March 2022 back to my account immediately. My email for my account is [protected]@protonmail.com. If you need any additional information please call [protected].

TalkSpace online help

Never did connect with these people. I tried several times. Today I received a bill from them (a charge on my card) for $296.00.

I want my money back!

The money was charged to Webster Bank. Because there is no real way to
contact these people, I need help.

They offer a service..online counseling. The website does not allow me to set an online time. It kept saying the person to whom I wished to speak had no available time.

TalkSpace My provider did not show up 3 times

My provider at talkspace did not show up 3 times. Talkspace still charged me the fee for each visit time even though I did not receive any services. The worst part is I am mentally struggle really bad and now I have to deal with all of these. I emailed them so many times, called them but never received any responses. This is the first time that I filed a complaint against anyone. This is beyond unacceptable.

TalkSpace Family Therapy

Date of incident: 12/16/21
On 12/14/21 I decided not to continue therapy. I went to my account online with TalkSpace and saw there was an automatic renewal on my account. I only used TalkSpace for one month and was not aware or properly informed of an automatic renewal. I cancelled my automatic subscription renewal through the TalkSpace website. At least I thought I cancelled it by clicking on the button "cancel automatic renewal."

On 12/16/21 I received an email from TalkSpace stating "your Talkspace purchase is confirmed." This was a big surprise and the charge is $369.

I would like a refund of $369.

TalkSpace Talkspace

Their forgot password link doesn't work so I am not able to access my account. I flagged this over a month ago and the issue is still not resolved. There is no customer service line to contact in these situations. I missed an appointment because I had no way to get into my account. I really like my therapist but unfortunately will no longer be using this service because it is incredibly unreliable.

TalkSpace Therapy

I cancelled my Talkspace subscription due to pricing and seeking additional resources. I have been contacting them for weeks trying to get a superbill invoice to submit to my insurance, but have not gotten any responses. I've sent multipleeeee emails, messaged them on instagram, and messaged them on twitter and I haven't gotten anything.

Desired outcome: I just want to receive my invoice for insurance purposes.

TalkSpace Paid and not able to access my account.

I am trying to access my account and I am not able to. I can not reach anyone because they do not respond! I just paid 190 dollars for no service. Horrible customer service. How can I start my services if I am not even able to receive the verification code. I am very upset with the lack of communication and how I am not able to receive any costumer service.

TalkSpace Ghosted and frustrated

My partner and I were wanting couples counseling. I did not realize there was a place to sign up for individual counseling vs couples counseling so I uknowingly went to the individuals counseling website and clicked on "difficulty in relationships" and got signed up this way - paid my $276 on December 26th for 4 weeks at the highest tier to get 4 LVS. The therapist I matched with kindly informed me they were not a couples counselor and we reached out to customer support who changed us to couples counseling. We were changed a few times between therapists actually because the individual counseling therapist did not know who to refer us to, so we requested another therapist on this platform before being referred to the couples counseling platform. Then on the couples counseling platform we were matched with therapists who had a focus in substance abuse counseling which was not at all what we were looking for so we again requested another therapist. Therefore, we started February 4th with the current couples counselor we have. We reached out right away to him and he responded letting us know the basics of how things would happen and asked for basic information about us that we had already given. We responded with that information along with a question regarding our subscription as he did not have anything available until TWO weeks-HALFWAY through our 4 week subscription open for the LVS including the introductory 10 minute video. He did not respond for two days at which pointed we requested a refund through TalkSpace. The refund page said we would only get an $8 refund because our subscription started on December 26th eventhough it didn't actually start until the 4th and we put in for a refund within the alotted 48 hours, having given our therapist that much time to respond. I cancelled the subscription thinking I was cancelling the automatic RENEWAL of the subscription but now I'm confused if I ended our 4 week subscription without having had any therapy or having gotten our refund. This whole process has been very frustrated and I know I could figure it out better having gone through it now, but the hassle of it all has made it not feel worth it and the lack of availability and lack of response from our counselor makes it not worth it. I would NOT recommend TalkSpace after our experience.

TalkSpace Online

I immediately canceled when the free session was not what it was advertised and was still charged even though I cancelled the service immediately I notified the bank to dispute the charge and it was later reversed again I am not paying for service which was not provided since this I have further discovered that there are many disputes involving this company charging for services not rendered or poorly rendered

TalkSpace Customer service

First, my counselor is AMAZING.
Customer service is missing. I have tried app to contact them, email, phone...nothing. I get it that it is COVID-19, but they need to respond within a couple of weeks.
They DO take your money. What they don't do is respond with help for receipt for insurance claims.
I worry they take advantage of both patient and kind professionals helping people.

Outcome I want: help. I just want them to return my call/email/anything!

TalkSpace Unethical behavior

Under no circumstances should you give your money to this scam. They promise you all kinds of communication with a therapist. My therapist kept missing "deadlines". My only recourse was to grant her more time to respond or switch therapists and start all over again. Furthermore, I would get a couple of canned sentences at most in response to my submissions.

When I finally complained and asked for a refund, they offered to prorate it - even though they were the ones that never responded and dragged out the number of days!

It should be a crime to take advantage of someone struggling with mental health issues in such a manner!

TalkSpace Billing issue

Hello, My name is Christina Velentzas. I have had correspondence with billing regarding my 1 week free trial. I was ensured that my account was cancelled. I was billed 396.00. TalkSpace Asking for a new therapist

Talkspace basically stole my money.
The therapist assigned to me was really bad. I requested a new one for days and they gave me no response. Since it is a paid for time service every single day I wait is money gone. Eventually, I will have paid to receive nothing. This should be considered a crime.

I recommend everyone to avoid this service because support will simply not respond after you pay.

TalkSpace Ethics

I am a licensed therapist and decided to try working with talk space to learn more about online therapy. One of the questions I asked during my " training" was what happens if a client asks to come see you face to face as I assumed this would be a conflict of interest. the trainer said that she has had her clients come in for a couple sessions and they didn't have any protocol about this. When I got my first online client (mind you I have over 10 years of experience as a therapist ), sure enough the client asks if she can meet me for a couple face to face sessions. I immediately ask my trainer before responding and the trainer tells me she will ask someone and let me know. ( never did she tell me not to or try to guide me or train me) . Since I was waiting awhile for the trainer I didn't want to leave the client hanging and I was told by the trainer the most important and hardest thing with online therapy is rappport building. I replied to the client saying I thought it would be okay to come in for a session but in the meantime posed some questions to get to know her and establish a rapport. I let the trainer know and she told me she wished I waited for an answer. At this time the client did open up to me and I was able to offer her validation and I also let her know that while I was an experienced therapist I was new to talk space and after speaking to a mentor I had to wait for approval before giving her a definite green light to schedule the face to face. I let the trainer know this and again said could you please get me an answer so I could tell her. I then get an email from the director saying I am being dismissed from talkspace since I didn't wait for an answer and was allowing to come in for face to face with me in place of online counseling. This was completely false. I didn't initiate this idea nor suggest it would take the place of. I emailed the director stating that this was not what happened and I would like to speak to her by phone. I also said I am willing to continue with he client through talkspace and refer her to an outside therapist, I would like to just get a new trainer. This is clearly a training issue! She said her decision is final and told me to be careful what I said to the client. I asked for the name of her supervisor and at this time realized they deactivated my account so I could no longer communicate with them. I immediately went to message the client wanting her to know that I didn't just abandon her and fall off the face of the earth. I sent her a message and it was not delivered as they deleted my access to talkspace as well. There was one other person I was able to communicate this to through personal email who of course did not write me back but I just want to say that this company does not follow ethical guidelines and I don't think they have the clients best interest at heart.
