Tate & Kirlin Associates Harassing calls

I have had my phone number since 2015. They have been harassing me looking for somebody named Maria since 2015. I have told them numerous times I don't know who she is but they still keep calling and texting me every few months still. It's been 8 years now any debt she did owed is gone stop bothering me please. How many times do I have to tell you this is no longer her number. If you do not stop I will bring in my attorney and you will regret this harrassment.

Claimed loss: Mental anguish

Desired outcome: Them to stop harassing me about somebody else's debt.

Tate & Kirlin Associates Company claims I owe money

Outside of the harrassing phone calls now I am getting stuff in the mail they provide the last four of my ssn and my address this is bothersome enough but then they try to say I owe a mastercard from 2002 over $500.00 and they will accept 50% to settle. I do not owe any mastercard from 2002 and this is criminal what they are doing and some poor soul will fall for this. This company MUST be stopped and I will help in any way I can. Connie Sweet

Desired outcome: That this company is legally charged with harrassment

I haven't had the 'pleasure' of speaking to them yet. So far, they have only sent my fiance threatening phone texts saying they know that phone number is mine but is Not! And today I eventually get a letter giving me a reference number to call or message them but when I tried putting it in, they said that is not my reference number and that's as far as I can get on their website.

Tate & Kirlin Associates False claim of debt

They call on a regular basis, claiming I owe them money from my bank mortgage account. I contacted my bank and I owe NOTHING! My account is current and there is no outstanding debt! I have informed them of this and they still call and send threatening letters!

Tate & Kirlin Associates harassing calls

Whoever the Tate and Kirlin employees that respond on here are just liars. I started getting calls from this company about a month ago, which was about a week after filing bankruptcy. Guess what you ignorant retches, by law you cannot contact an individual while in bankruptcy or for several months afterward. Furthermore when I sue you it is at minimum a $1500 fine per call, sometimes it increases per the number of calls. Given the 15 or so calls you've placed by now, there is no doubt that you probably owe me way more than I owed you or whoever. So to anyone who is being harassed by these people look into taking action, Tate and Kirlin may be out of business in no time with fines like that. Oh and by all means, make a comment on this and I'll hit you with yet another fine too. See you in court or not, its not like you'd have a chance of winning the case.

Tate and kirlin call me all the time. When I answer the phone and say "hello" they hang up on me! I DO have a past debt that was charged off in 2007 and tate and kirlin just now, out of the blue, started calling me starting this past december. I've talked to 4 different employees in the past week, every one of them are rude and has told me to steal from my mom and to go behind my husbands back and use his bank account, without his permiSion, just so I could pay them! They are disgusting people. Thank God I started researching them because I'm now finding out that attempting to pay them is a huge mistake!

Tate & Kirlin Associates Wrongful Debt Collection

I had put together numerous bills that an ex had left me stranded with over eight years ago for a large loan. All of a sudden I receive a letter from this Tate & Kirlin Associates saying my account from one of these bills has been turned over to them! I contacted my bank immediately and recovered the check that was used to pay this bill over eight years ago. I have tried faxing this proof to them for over four flipping weeks now and they keep telling me there is nothing wrong with their fax machine. I have ALSO mailed a copy of this proof three different times and conveniently they haven't received it any of the three times yet. This is absolutely ridiculous! I can't wait until they say that I am delinquent yet because their ### will be mine in court WITH the proof that this account had been settled eight years ago with the company's signature on the check!

My husband received a letter from T & K about owing for 2 subscriptions which he didn't order on-line. He had ordered something else and in the very small print, the subscription was set up. Immediately we called the creditor and canceled the subscription and requested a Notice to Return. They emailed me the requests the same day. I sent the items back to them 7 days later unopened. We went to our bank who researched everything including talking to the merchant's bank, who agreed there was an error and the money was credited backed to his account in June of last year. My husband has A+ credit, house is paid off and vehicles are paid for so there is no reason for this to be sent to him.
So to let you know, I save every email, every bit of paperwork, write down dates, names and and time I spend talking with somebody about anything that I return or have questions about. Yes, I have all the paperwork and I always send my packages out through the same office so they are going to track it. I will be sending the paperwork by certified or registered mail so i can see who signs for it. Earlier, there is someone who listed things to ask them for and I have added those requests to the letter. We will see what happens. We also do not answer an unknown number on our phones. Too many scams out there.

I just missed a call from these fools. They didn't leave a message, so I called the number back. Upon hearing this "Tate and Kirlin" debt crap, I immediately ended the call (with good reason, I'll explain in a sec) and started investigating. I quickly found this site and have read all of these horror stories.

I ignored them was because I was already sure it was a scam. I'm only 18, and still live with my parents. I have never had a bank account, or have signed up for payment plans of any kind. I have only paid for things in full via cash or debit card. No credit cards, no LOANs, no nothing. They had absolutely no reason to call. I'm more than sure that they just got my name and number from the company I was recently hired at, and thought I'd be their next victim.

Crap like this happened to me before. Some other ### I don't remember the name of called me when I was 16 saying I had incurred some debt or another. Not knowing any better, I went ahead and talked to them. After this stupid mess of a story, I then told them my age and asked how it was possible for me to have a debt from 2 years ago as I would have been a 14 year old then. She VERY quickly got quiet and started grasping for straws trying to not sound completely stupid(surprise, she failed). She settled on finding an excuse to hang up. They never called back after that.

So take it from someone from whom it's LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE to have an unpaid debt of some sort. This "company" is nothing more than a scam. If they were even remotely reputable, they would not be calling me at all.

Just bought a house in Wagoner, Ok. Since getting my new phone # Tate & Kirlin has been calling me looking for someone name JD Summers or some such name at my phone number. As usual Windstream Phone Co. didn't hold this number long enough to clear problems. Now I've got them.
Have answered phone several times and told people calling and called the [protected] back and told more people that there is no one by the name their calling at this number and I've only had # 3 weeks now, please remove my phone #. Still getting calls and now going to call the Do Not Call Registry and make a formal complaint about this company.

Also, the troll posters saying anyone pointing out this companies scam is just a dead beat who needs to pay their debts - well, they're probably a part of that company. Use your brain people. Don't fall for the obvious bull that group of people try to shovel on you. Give them the finger, then report them for fraud.

A false claim arrived from them in the mail today. They claim I owe Chase over $19k, but I have never had any outstanding debt with that bank. In fact, I have no outstanding debt with any bank or other creditor. I double checked my credit report to make sure something incorrect hasn't been reported under my name, but the credit bureau reports are all still accurate and none show the debt that Tate & Kirlin claims I owe.

Seems this company just makes up debt, maybe hoping unsuspecting people will pay the offer they make (mine was I only have to pay 30% of the fictitious $19k debt) without digging deeper.

The people behind this scam should be imprisoned for fraud.

ADT Scam or Not. You be the Judge. My husband (veteran) and cosigner on the above mentioned ADT contract, passed away on October 6, 2014. Due to extenuating circumstances, I needed to sell my home in Florida. On October 15, 2014, I called ADT to disconnect the alarm equipment. I moved out on October 22, 2014 and moved in with my son and his family in their home in Plano, Texas. They are long time ADT customers. My home sold on November 7, 2014.

On November 17, 2014 I called ADT again to confirm that the equipment had been disconnected. Their agent confirmed that it was, but stated that just because the equipment had been disconnected, did not also mean that the service contract had been cancelled. So, I asked to have it cancelled. She said I needed to give 30 days’ notice, so I would still need to pay for December and that December would be my last bill. She also stated that because I was breaching the contract, I would be charged $1095.17.

I do not believe that the above stated situation would constitute a breach of contract. The ADT contract states that I must own the premises where the equipment is installed and serviced. I no longer own the premises. This is a contract for service and I no longer own a premises for ADT to service.

In addition, you have raised my initial rate of $55.99 per month twice now. Once during the first year it was raised to $59.35 and finally to $60.43. I never agreed to these increases.

Therefore, I RESPECTFULLY DISPUTE THE VALIDITY OF THIS ALLEGED DEBT. My final payment (Check #1259) was processed by ADT on December 31, 2014.
I'm now being aggressively pursued by this collections firm. What's your VERDICT?

This is a 3rd party collection agency. They bought the debt from another company for a fraction of what was owed in the attempt to collect and make a profit. The important part to remember is that legally, you no longer owe them money. They don't care if it's been resolved, etc. because they don't make money on that.

Tate & Kirlin Associates Harassing phone calls.

I first have to say that the person that claims that Tate and Kirlin is a reputable company must work for them or she is insane. They are a horror! They call my house at least eight times per day. People speak obscenely to them because they are awful. I explained to them that I am collecting disablity and can not afford to pay them right now for a car that they repossed two years ago. Most days they start calling at around 7 a.m.and don't stop until around 10. It's not a lie that they call all times of the day because they do. They actually called me at 8 a.m. Mother's Day. Needless to I say I was not pleasesd. I am definitely going to report this company to the Bbbb.

Tate & Kirlin Associates harassing

Tate & kirlin is a horrible collections company. Yes, they are legit, but have a shady back round with banks. They lived on wamu for years and now that wamus gone they want money from everybody. I dont even owe money to anybody and these ### are calling me... and its annoying and harrasing. I must have gone through the automated process at least four times to tell them they had the wrong person. After that i get some snot nose ### being nasty to me on the phone cause i dont know some guy there looking for.Tate & Kirlin associates try to defend there pathetic company. Any other collection agency asks u your number and your simply off their list. Tate & Kirlin are the people; that are sucking money out of the people and the economy because, they owe money to the big banks and government. For being so harrassing to people that dont owe you money, i dont think they deserve money from anybody. For the people who work there your phone system is pathetic and your very rude especially to poeple who take time out of there day to deal with your ###. Its sad to think your a company. Anybody that has the slightest problem with tate and kirlin and you dont owe money, report them to a better business bureau and take a record of the harssing phone calls. You are not alone this company is known for being shady, rude, harrassing and annoying.Dont stand for their harassment.

Tate & Kirlin Associates employees

The company is legit, but the employees or 75% of them have criminal records and cant find jobs anywhere else. if u have ever been treated rude on the phone its probably because they were under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. how i know? i used to wrk there and seen co-workers using while on the clock, buying in the parking lot then calmly going to the cubicle and calling customers asking for there credit card # or checking information. they never use their real name so to look them up would be useless. dont worry bout the nation magazine exchange, it never shows up on credit report, that acct. is more of a moral obligation. u also never have to pay a 3rd party collection agency. make sure they read u ur rights before even discussing ur acct. and if for whatever reason u dont want to pay or u don't want them to call anymore, u have rights. TELL THEM DO NOT CALL ANYMORE. If they do, u can sue them.. Remember you have rights also and maybe you dont want to give or verify your personal info like name, ss#, address, employer name and phone # to someone who just got out of jail the day before for theft now is asking u for ur credit card info or checking info. AGAIN, not all the employees r bad, but majority of them r and since they dont use their real names, which is also against the law, ur always taking a chance on who ur giving ur info too. DONT EVEN TRUST THE MANAGERS, they also have criminal records, and hire a lot of there buddies. I am just a concerned person who did my research and is handling what i need to, HOPE U DO THE SAME. Blessings to all who take seriousness to my words.

To address the above concerns, I am in fact Melissa Conlin not Conroy, I was made aware of this website when I received a complaint from the Wildwood Police Dept. filed by the above refferenced individual, and in my own defense, I do not know whom thinks it is funny to put my name to such a statement, I myself am not an ill educated individual. Yes her father is a Megans Law registered offender (proven guilty by a court of law P.Roberts), but NO I would NOT leave a personal comment of such on this website. So to those of you whom have no idea what you are speaking on, I suggest you further your research before assuming everything you read is truely as it seem. Thank you, Melissa. How dare you MELC, the person who is talking out of terms is YOU. I am totally horrified to see that an assistant manager of a company could write a comment on the internet, which you as an employee are not allowed to comment using your company name. If you were my employee you would have been fired on the spot. There are corporate rules and you just broke them all at once by writing horrible things about someone using the company name. Especially making it personal, the comment that was writen was warning people of the company's employees. As an assistant manager of tate & kirlin assc. you should have not made any comments. MELC your comments of Hysin and her family problems are not of an issue that was wrong and I hope they take legal actions against you including your employer tate & kirlin assc., for using the name of there company for personal unprofessional use on the internet.. Your comments are more of a personal matter.

Its ashame how an assistant manager at Tate & Kirlin could write something like this. It just show how well they screen there employees. I don't know how anybody so cold hearted could have a job that deal with customer service. If i were this persons boss he/she would have been fired on the spot for a comment like this. I went to school with Hysin and I know the family, and to say these things about them is cruel and mean. I thought we lived in America were you are inicident until proven guilty, unless MELC is president then you are guilty until inicident. I really hope MELC gets the help he/she needs to become a better person. Life is to short to be so hateful towards someone even if they wrong you. On that note I leave with one thing to say, may god bless MELC and make his/her life more joyful then what it is.

As a business owner and an outsider looking in I would love to see how the owner of this company feels about how his/her Asst. Manger handled this situation, in such an unprofessional and childish way. If she was one of my employees she would have lost her job immediately. Its unprofessional and looks very bad for the name of the company. First, I have known Hysin for many years and psychotic is not one of the traits she carries. She is a great, caring and loving person. I think people in today’s society are so use to things being sugar coated for them, they mistake someone who is honest and speaks her mind with thinking that person is out of line. We as people need to learn to appreciated someone who is honest because that is the only way we will grown. I love how someone said every company is not perfect because that is so true. If we listening to what people say maybe as a company you can learn to strengthen your weak areas by appreciating constructive criticism. I find it very humorous how when someone is backed into a corner and has nothing bad to say about the other person, the first thing they do is attack in a personally way. It really just shows what type of person the other person is.

I am totally appalled to see that an assistant manager of a company could write such a comment on the internet about someone. I hope Tate and Kirlin quickly removes itself from any affiliation with Melissa Conroy because i can see alot of legal retalliation coming. This is horrible to write about someone. This is a personal attack and a defamation of character that is for sure. Melissa you should not write something like that about anyone and you should know the facts about her firing before you write anything but forget about that but what you wrote is absolutely appalling. I am surprised that you would do that to anyone. Tate and Kirlin you need to get better employees and also need to be careful of the ones you give promotions to because they are bringing your company down.
All companies have their problems but i don't know one company that would allow an employee to continue to work for them after something like this was written on the internet that connected themselves to your company.
I had to comment on this because this is a horrible action.

There is a way to beat collection agencies at their own game. Send out a cease and desist letter, basically "firing" them, informing them that you do not deal with collection agencies and will take the matter up with the original creditor. (The original creditor will usually tell you that once it's gone into collection they can no longer accept payments from you, oh well, their loss). The letter should also state, under the Fair Credit Act that if this appears on your credit report, they will be subject to fines. If they continue to harass you, even by one letter crossing in the mail, you've got them by the proverbial balls. www.attorneysforconsumers.com They will sue the collection agency and you will make money, up to $500 and no out of pocket costs. If you're just a schmuck who runs up your bills, won't work and doesn't care about life...then you deserve to be harassed. But there are plenty of people out there who, through no fault of their own, are in a financial mess.

TATE just called me at 9:01 PM 10/25/2012 it is well documented on my phone. I am collecting evidence. No one picked up after I waited through the recording, it hung up. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME so I deduce their either idiots who can't read time or they are outsourcing bill collectors from another time zone across the globe. So their perpetrating the problems we are in as a nation, if that's the case. I will never give them a dime. I settled a car loan last year through another collection agency, TATE openly tried to collect on this debt AGAIN just days ago before I got passed through to someone in higher authority who admitted the debt had been passed on 'a while back' and was no longer with them. A 'while back' was well over a year ago because they wouldn't work with me sufficiently. Someone else did, someone else got my money. I am collecting evidence of their negligent harassment's, I suggest others do the same. Record calls if possible, otherwise keep phone records, take names, dates and write down detailed conversations when you do get a living person on the line, what they said, what you said.

I keep getting a phone call from tate and kirlin from the number [protected] However when I answer the person on the other end hangs up. I googled the number it is from PA... I live and have always lived in GA.. I have registered the number with the do not call list complaint dept as I don't know the company, nor do I have any business with the company. I have called the number back but when I tell them my name they tell me the company would remove my phone number yet they continue calling. I consider it harrassment and will report it if it continues

My husband and I are getting 3-5 calls a day from Tate and Kirlin, demanding money owed on a car.
Considering that I already paid off that loan in November 2009 (I have copies of all that), received the automobile title and have re-sold the car, I don't believe I will be sending them any more money.
Yesterday, they sent a letter saying they would settle for 40% of what we owe.
40% of nothing is still nothing. Sorry.

I have had a constant battle with collection agencies thanks to the economic COLLAPSE of [protected] and me being thrown out of work and FORCIBLY RETIRED!

I have found that there are VERY FEW reputable collection agencies out there who "play" within government laws and most of them are out there to grab what they can from you and leave you hanging. Some of them even POCKET the money you send them and don't report the debt as being paid off, so you get STUNG TWICE when another agency comes along trying to collect on the SAME DEBT!

My lawyer tells me that you NEVER work out payment arrangements with a debt collector who calls you on the phone "OUT OF THE BLUE", but BY LAW they MUST send you a letter telling you who they are and what debt they are trying to collect. Then, after the debt is paid off or settled, BY LAW, they MUST send you a letter RELEASING you from the debt. Above all KEEP any and all correspondance and proof that you have been paying on the debt in case the debt collector has been POCKETING your money instead of settling your debt!

You HAVE TO PROTECT YOURSELF! Debt collectors can say whatever dribble they want, but there are too many crooks out there who want to STING you into sending them money, then after you settle with them, THEY VANISH INTO THE WOODWORK!

navyguy75..are you proud that you cheated the system in your own way? took a loan or whatever you used accuumulated the $180, 000 and loop holed your way out of paying a debt that you created?.. does that money just disappear? was that extra money? that money is owed to someone..if everyone did what you did our country would be worse off than it is now.. many good people accumulate a debt that starts to seem impossible to ever pay off and thats understandable. not everyone can bring in 300k a year like you sir...but the hard working people that fight to make ends meet somehow seem to pay off their debt.. to explain my story a little, my wife opened a chase account and wasn't on top of the payments i guess and built up a debt of 3500 and some change. that isn't chump change to me and i explained to a nice young man there that i have intent of paying but funds arent available. the kid worked wit me made 2 months of 25$ payments then i settled out the account for less then 2000$ when i saved up enough money..perhaps i should have transferred all my income and assets into none traceable accounts and screwed the system by never paying an account i willingly created... im glad that your doing so well for yourself navy guy..but maybe its time you right some wrongs youve done because is it fair that people like us who work our butt's off to pay off what we owe pay it. while people like you cheat us all.. so anyone out there who is considering take this mans advice.. remember that maybe not directly but through a dominos effect.. this debt could be food on some body elses table..ill agree with you all that i dislike tate & kirlin but that is because they collected money from me.. who is going to enjoy the phone conversations with a company taking money from you..but in their defense it was my debt so somebody has to collect it and maybe i was lucky to have my debt handled with the nice young man who worked so patiently with me and settled me out. be honest and american..goodbye

Tate & Kirlin Associates Multiple FDCPA Violations

I don't even know where to begin...

They've been calling nearly every day for about 2 months or so concerning a debt that was disputed with original creditor. The couple times my husband did call back or answer, they posed as original creditor over the phone. They even attempted to negotiate a settlement in the name of original creditor, which we refused!

We discovered it was not the original creditor when the collector, who gave an obviously fake name, gave the Tate & Kirlin mailing address and info when collector solicited for four post-dated checks to keep him off our backs til then (and added if we didn't send payment, he'd add interest)! Immediate red flag, I know the original creditor is on the up and up.

I was able to contact the original creditor in an effort to complain about these guys they had supposedly asssigned to collect only to find out that the disputed charges had been charged-off after no agreeable settlement could be made! They did tell me that they have done business with Tate & Kirlin in the past.

I'm making a visit down to the local court for a small claims filing tomorrow. If they are pulling similar crap on you, please review the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act for more information.

We have been receiving phones calls from them looking for a person who has never ever lived at our home or who has never had access to our telephone number and we are tired of this. We have also received phone calls from other companies looking for this same person and they have said they would also remove us from their list but never have.

I work for a public school district in the state of Texas. This morning, I have answered four calls from Tate & Kirlin. When I answer the calls, there is no one there. I have called them back twice and both times, they hung up on me. These phone calls should be against the law. If they are going to call this number, they should speak to whoever answers the phone! When I called to discuss and ask them to remove this number from their list, they hang up on me. Who works making these kind of calls for a living? It's a waste of everything. Who benefits from these stupid hang-up calls? I am working a legitmate job and don't want to spend my time answering these wasted, stupid phone calls. Get a real job and get a life!

I just recieved a phone call from Tate & Kirlin and the woman on the other end asked for my husband but with a different last name and than asked for myself with the correct name. After confirming that she had the right number she hung up on me. I called the company back because I thought we had taken care of all our debt and was curious why they were now calling us. I was told that a phone call to our number was not in their system therefore they never called us. Well I told him that I took the number directly from our caller i.d. and the gentleman on the other end started to raise his voice telling me that they never called us and than once again I was hung up on. So, now I don't know if I should try and contact them again or just wait but I do know there was no reason for me to be hung up on or yelled at.

They have been calling me about a past due 2005 Verizon Bill. I want to now how many times can you be sued for one bill? I was sued by Palisades Collection on March 19th 2008 - I still can not pay because I am on Social Security and do not even know if we will receive our checks next month! I thought when you are sued and the judgement is for the Plaintiff it's over and done with. I wish they would do their homework and stop harassing me!

Different people claiming to represent Tate & Kirlin continue to call alleging the firm is attempting to collect a debt and want to know if we refuse to pay.

When we respond that we contest the debt and send us something in writing (via U.S. Postal Service), the firm states it already has. That is not true. We have been receiving mail at the same address for over 35 years. The firm continues its threatening tone, extremely unprofessional and undignified conduct. The firm sometimes uses a service which appears to be based in India or Pakistan and other times a crude and vulgar woman from the United States.

The various representatives engaged in offensive harassment, outright lies and ongoing refusal to present any evidence we owe any debt.
