With Teladoc membership, you are promised timely access to real medical doctors "anytime, anywhere".in fact their site also states "Teladoc is there for you 24/7 wherever you may be."

But there's a caveat. If you use Teladoc "too often", you are quickly scolded by mail. They sent you a form letter telling you to use the Teladoc service less and see your in-person doctors more often. The problem is, what if you ARE seeing your in-person doctors regularly but you have a doctor who has limited hours and doesn't have an answering service? What if you're on business in another city? Isn't this the purpose of Teladoc? Apparently not.

I used Teladoc, on average, once every 2 months. Teladoc sent me a letter every 4 months telling me to see my doctor more in-person. Each time they wrote me a letter I called them or emailed them or wrote them back a physical letter explaining that I *DO* see my regular doctors often and that I *DO* update my Teladoc online medical health record with the applicable information EACH time I see my primary care doctor or have a change in health. I was doing everything right.

... Yet Teladoc terminated my account without any opportunity to appeal or be further explained as to the reason why. What constitutes "too much" use of the service, and how dynamic is that rule being applied? I don't think using Teladoc every 2 months is overkill, especially when that is averaging over a period of a year.. so for a few months I might not use it at all, but in other months I might use it a bit more often because I'm traveling or my doctor's on vacation and being self-employed without insurance I don't want to do $1500 ER visits for a sinus infection.

I believe Teladoc is using false advertising to lure in customers with a whiz-bang web site and deceptive promises, and then dump them once they actually use the service upon seeing benefit in it. And that's not right.

This is not a good service to use. They will take you money for a two minute call with no results.

I think this service with wonderful - I have some issues that come around 2-3 times a year - normally I have to go to a doctor and spend $120-200 each time and will get the same prescription. Our plan the Teledoc cost me $0 to talk to a doctor and I get the same basic service which saves me $360-600 per year.

My husband was 4 weeks post-surgery (major foot reconstruction) when Aetna kicked him out from skilled nursing to home on a Saturday. Within a few hours, he started coughing. It got worse over Sunday, then Monday when the skilled nursing facility screwed up getting his Medicare aftercare/nurse visit within the required 48-72 hours. By Tuesday he had a fever of 101 and was coughing and short of breath, with no nurse visit yet scheduled. We were sure he had institution-acquired pneumonia. His foot surgery made it impossible for me to get him out of the house safely - we were panicking a little. His Aetna case supervising nurse called and intook his case on Tuesday. When she heard his cough and discussed with us, she suggested we use Teledoc to get him treated for the apparent bronchitis/pneumonia. We got connected with the Teledoc physician. The doctor refused to prescribe an antibiotic, and and said with the info we had - 101 fever, short of breath, and cough, he needed to go to the ER. The Aetna nurse told me to call 911 and report it as a "non-emergency" emergency, and the they came and took him to the ER. That Teledoc physician saved my husband's life. He didn't have a lung infection - if the doctor had done what we wanted and just put in an antibiotic, my husband would probably be dead. Husband had blood clots that got into his lung. He's still in the hospital, but we are grateful to the Teledoc physician who didn't do what we wanted, but did what we really needed, even though in the moment we were pissed that he put us through calling 911. He was literally dead on right with his advice, and we are grateful.

My spouse has a form on his account for me to schedule and talk to the doctor. But after today the lady and doctor to me know it's just for scheduling. After the last 3 appointment I've schedule and talk to doctors for my husband. My husband is sick and doesn't want to talk on the phone.

More inconvenient than convenient. I am just frustrated with that he program. Poor website. Not correct options when calling in for help. The staff depending who you talk to have different rules or understandings. I will ask HR not to offer any longer as it was a waste of time.

Do not contact Teledoc if you need an antibiotic. I have a bad case of tonsilitis and the doctor only prescribed Prednisone, which did not alleviate the swelling; it worsened. I contacted them within 72 hours and was told I will need to schedule another appointment for further service. I had the same ailment last year and called on DrOnDemand where an antibiotic and Prednisone was prescribed, which did alleviate my symptoms quickly. I won't call on Teledoc again.

I had been using their counseling services for 2 months During this time I have been dumped by 2 counselors. The first one didn't give me a reason the second one gave me an excuse. You can't imagine how this makes a person feel until you experience this. This has been one the worst experiences I have ever had all from trying to get mental health help.

Called in for HSA doctor's notes that I specifically shared before the call. They accepted the appointment knowing they could not fulfill any requests.

Denise Clay was rude and unprofessional. She wasn’t not concerned and rushed the conversation. This visit was not free and I am extremely unsatisfied with how she handled my concerns. If anyone needs any real help and doesn’t want to be scammed out of their money by terrible service please look elsewhere.
