Medical billing
In October 2022, I noticed charges in September and October that I did not recognized, and I disputed the charges with my bank. The charges were reversed on October 3 and October 20 as the bank investigated the transactions. After my own investigation, I recognized the charges were part of the payment plan I had set up, that it was for my hospital bill, and that the charges were correct. So I promptly informed the bank and the charges reposted to the account on November 4, 2022. TeamHealth never even knew the disputes had occurred until after the investigation had closed and the charges were reposted. I have attempted to communicate with them that the charges went through and were never charged back to me, but they ignore all communications and continue sending bills. I received another bill in January 2024.
Desired outcome: Cease communications regarding this debt which has been paid

Service not provided and no refund
I spent 3 days in the hospital and had 2 charges from dr.’s that never saw me (fake notes in my records)
I paid my bill promptly but later realized that they never filed to my insurance and now I have been fighting for months to get my $ back.
They claim the company that does their refunds needed proof of my payment, I gave them a copy of my ck. Obviously they are not a reliable company if another company needs proof of patient’s payment.
Still fighting for my money back!
Desired outcome: want a refund & the charges for the services NEVER received returned. best outcome would be this company would be closed down, as they continue to cheat people!
The legit charged me for a bill that has already been paid. I have documentation from my insurance proving it.
Billing
My daughter had to go to the ER in January. While there was some confusion because I did not have my updated insurance card on me that night, I found it the following day and called the hospital billing department to give them the current information. A few months later, the insurance covered most of it and I owed about $300. However, Team Health is saying the insurance is invalid or expired, and billing me for almost $1200 with no itemization the same way the hospital did for me. It just says "Emergency department" with this bill. We had insurance then and we have it now. It is neither invalid nor expired. I don't see where I owe this money. There goes my credit score, because I am sure they will start reporting it.
Desired outcome: I don't owe this money as they claim.
They are trying to charge me for something that’s been paid. I have documentation from my insurance saying it’s been paid yet on their website, the charge is still there

taking money from my account after the bill is paid showing no balance on their website
ER visit on 10/31/2022. Set up a payment plan of 100.00 per month that should have been paid off May 2023. They took the money out every month and are still trying to take money out of my account even though I have paid in full. Their website says I have a 0 balance, their call service says I owe 385.00. The 385.00 was from February and I have paid that. They were of no help to me on the phone and I don't want to continue paying for something that I've already paid in full.
Desired outcome: For them to stop taking money from my banking account.
Billing Complaint
The billing department did not forward claim numbers, [protected] and [protected], last week to the VA in Tampa, Florida further delaying the process. This bill goes back to 10-12 January 2023 when I stayed in Baptist East Hospital . It is a same that a disabled veteran have to keep checking behind so called professionals to ensure they do their job. I need someone to contact me to let me know that my name has been cleared and the bill has gone to the right place this time.
Desired outcome: Send the bills to the VA located in Tampa, Florida asap
Advance care planning, first 30 minutes (99497) from Sari M. Capilouto, CRN
Date of service (?) was 2/1/2022: After hip surgery, my 85 year old husband admitted to Hillview Terr, Montgomery, Al. on 1/29/2022 for rehab. Medicare & TFL covered all bills related to surgery at hospital & use of rehab facility except one for $314 which they say he should not be billed and don't have to pay as already paid in another service the same day. He still gets monthly statements from TeamHealth for this. I (his wife) have reached out to them since Oct. 2022 to get the billing stopped as he is not responsible
Desired outcome: Stop the annoying monthly bills from TeamHealth
Billing, lack of detailed information, and a year later.
TeamHealth - Medical Billing
Team Health picked up a bill for an ER visit I had in Feburary 24, 2021. I had paid various bills related to this visit already - I have health insurance Blue Cross Blueshield, and the visit itself consisted of bloodwork,Team Health sent me their bill a year later. They sent a bill with no detail or explanation of what the payment was for. They also began texting and emailing that I had a PAST DUE bill and using similar scare tactics including the language they were using on the paper bill. Again, this was the first time I had been billed at all by them so it absolutely was not past due or urgent - in fact it was only overdue or late on their part. I had to reach out to them via chat support to find out what this bill was for, the person providing chat support would only say that it was "for the doctor". I asked multiple times to be sent a more detailed bill with actual explanation of billable items. I asked them why they took a year to bill me and the response was they were too busy. Support person basically said that wasn't possible and the next month I continued to receive the same vague paper bill I had said was not clear enough. Not only was Team Health billing unhelpful verging on negligent but they bordered on harassing. I would not be surprised if they are billing people for things that are not accurate and getting away with it because of their unwillingness to provide more details or transparency.
Desired outcome: I spoke with Blue Cross Blue Shield representative today and they said that they never got a bill stating it was a emergency visit which it was . I had knee surgery a month later. This company needs to have well trained billers, to making sure they use proper billing code in order for the insurance company pay properly. Blue Cross Blue Shield is going to resubmit this bill.
Desired outcome: I spoke with Blue Cross Blue Shield representative today and they said that they never got a bill stating it was a emergency visit which it was . I had knee surgery a month later.
Medical Billing
Team Health picked up a bill for an ER visit I had in December. I had paid various bills related to this visit already - I have health insurance and the visit itself consisted of bloodwork, a facial CTSCAN, an IV of antibiotics and an ice pack. Team Health sent me their bill almost 6 months after this service and 3 months after my insurance had responded to them.
Desired outcome: I paid this to avoid continued harassment but this was a really terrible experience. I'd like this company to be investigated for their billing processes - specifically providing more detailed billing documents.
Billing is either fraudulent or incompetent
On Saturday (May 14) I received a $1,328 bill for a car accident & hospital visit back on Dec. 24. On Monday, I e-mailed TeamHealth with several questions:
1 - why am I just now receiving a bill 5 months later?
2 - why do I only have an 8-day window to pay it? (Received it on 5/14 and it's due 5/22)
3 - Why does the Hospital's website show I have a $0 balance?
4 - How come my insurance isn't covering any of this bill?
Tuesday they replied: “Upon review we received auto insurance and filed. They denied on 4/28/22, ‘Benefits Exhausted’ and did not make a payment.”
Wednesday I contacted Blue Cross/Blue Shield; They said they already covered most of it, I'm only responsible for $115.68.
Bottomline: don’t believe a word the TeamHealth billing dept. tells you…
Double billing.
I was seen in the ER and my insurance billed for both facility and professional services. These were paid. I then received a bill from Team Health for the professional services again. Since I am in fact a medical biller, I let them know these services were already billed and paid for by my insurance. They tried to BS me and tell me that the hospital did not bill for professional services. I informed them that they had and that I was a certified biller and what they were doing is fraud, the BS they were feeding may work on others, but since this is my job and what I do EVERYDAY, their tactics were not going to work on me. I have since reported them to my states OIG and have sent the info to my insurance company so that they are also aware of the fraud. I hope this company is investigated and shut down.
Emergency room visit
On 03/01/2021 we took a homeless man to the emergency room that had been released from jail after 2+ years. He was eat up with mrsa which was contracted from being in jail. We allowed him to use our address so that he could be treated without incident. Unfortunately for us now we are being bombarded with an extremely ridiculous amount of medical bills for this man. How can the homeless recuperate from their dilemma of being homeless, jobless, no insurance, etc.?

Bill for ER visit
I received a bill totaling 2391.00, I called 2 times and spoke with a service rep and was informed that my insurance rejected due to incorrect name. With the first call they were supposedly going to re-submitte to my insurance. Today I got a text from TeamHealth saying I stilled owed 2391.00, I again called and after being on hold for 45 mins again, was told the same thing that my insurance rejected due to incorrect name, according to the person, the information they have is the same as my insurance card, I find it very odd that everyone else has submitted bills and my insurance covered by with these people. I called my insurance and per BCB, TeamHealth has not submitted a bill. It really does not make any sense that if other providers using the same information has submitted bills and have been paid, why is this company saying that my insurance rejected them due to incorrect name. Makes no sense. I have attempted several times after speaking with my insurance to contact them and each time a get the same message that they are having a very high call volume and to go to their web site. I want to speak to a person. Even my insurance attempted to call them and was unable to make contact or leave a message. I think what they are attempting to do is get me to pay the whole bill. Per BCB I will only owe 20% of the total bill not the whole amount if they would simple submitt the bills. I do not buy the fact my insurance rejected due incorrect name, then every provider would have had their bills rejected.
Healthcare
Charging me for a hospital visit that was already covered. I contacted them after receiving one request for payment by mail. On the first phone call I was connected with a very unhelpful and rude customer service rep. I arranged to fax the EOB. Two phone calls later and they said that there was no record and to contact at a later time. I then got the notice from a collection agency for the bill. Since collections don't work with the insurance I now had no choice but to pay the balance.
Desired outcome: Not sure what can be done, but I want my complaint on record. Would like to find how to avoid this company in the future.
Requesting payment for a bill that was already paid by insurance
Around October 1, 2021 I received a $895 bill for payment to vassar Hospital for emergency services. Per instruction on the bill I visited their website payteamhealth.com for the purpose of providing my insurance information. There was no identifiable location to input the medical insurance info. I then sent them a letter enclosed in their billing envelope informing them that there was no place to provide medical insurance info. I also told them that I will not pay them until they put the claim through my insurance first. Approximately two later I received a billing summary from my insurance which clearly shows that they were paid. Now I receive regular recording from teamhealth saying that I have an outstanding payment and to go to the website and pay the bill. I know its the request for $895 because they provide the billing account number.
Desired outcome: ,That TH stop robo calling me, since the bill was paid stop asking me for the money. Furthermore they should provide and email address for people who work outside of their business hours. getting home after 8pm
Duplicate billing — fraud!!
I had a visit to the ER to have a very small facial incision glued -- took about 5 minutes. My insurance company was billed 1200 USD the first time and I paid 254 USD. TeamHealth and a physician by the name of Jordan Barnhart who is employed in Bellingham WA is trying to bill be for the same services -- even though he never met with me. Unbelievable.
Desired outcome: Cancel second bill and termination of employment for Jordan Barnhart
Unethical behavior
The team health terminated one of its employee (physician) and this is very unethical on Team Health's part as there was no reason to terminate and instead should have asked the physician to resign. Their CEO, corporate office employees and legal department were extremely rude and when asked would just ignore as if it is not a big deal. I am brown skin person and this is what the corporate company like them health do to me. I am physician by training and team health has destroyed my career due to their termination.
Billing issue
I have a bill that I have been trying to resolved since October of last year.
the bill was for $1820.00 BILL ID: [protected]. The date of service was Sept 14th, 2021. at Progress West Hospital.
I have sent you my insurance info numerous times and formally disputed the HRRG collection notice sent to me. My insurance has verified numerous times that you have not submitted the claim to my Blue Cross company. They also did a history check to see if it had been rejected for incorrect filing... but they also have not rejected anything either.
This is a covered expense with my insurance and they say they will resolve it as soon as they receive a claim. They can't pay it until they get the claim. The last date of giving you my insurance information was March 10th, 2021, I spoke with Donna at 4:59 PM.
Please inform me why you have not submitted the claim but sent the bill for collection. I am at a loss and ready to bring my attorney into this. This is my last hope of getting this resolved before filing a formal complaint with the MO medical advocacy committee, and turning this over to my attorney.
my phone number is [protected]
Email address: [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Submit my claim, then I will pay whatever co-pay, i need to. You also have to make sure they submit towards last years service- because my copay resets
I received a bill for 1791.00 the claim was filed wrong, should be CHAMPVA, P.O. 1/18/2021 capital regional medical center hospital emergency room visit for excruciating left leg and ankle pain
The APRN made a decision not to give me narcotic pain control medication because she stated, "you drove to the ER." This occurred on 1/18/2021. The pain in my left buttock, leg and ankle was excruciating on a pain scale of 10/10. The pain caused a gait dysfunction, an inability to walk upright,
unable to bear weight on my left leg and ankle. I had an elevated blood pressure of 181/102 and I could not walk. I had to ask for a wheel chair to get into the ER by a man that came out to the parking lot.
The proper medical standard should have been to admit me to the hospital, until my pain which is the fifth vital sign was under control. The APRN had diagnostic testing done, while I was in excruciating pain. I was treated worst than an animal, because I was medicated with NSAIDS, after the testing was completed.
The IV Toradol administered by an RN in the ER, after the diagnostic testing was ineffective for pain control. The Meloxicam prescription was also, ineffective for pain control. The combination of these two NSAIDS caused me to have severe weakness and fatigue, an adverse response which made me have poor endurance.
I know my body, I am allergic to Morphine and Demerol. Synthetic Hydromorphone, Dilaudid is the only medication that can control my excruciating pain. I have had this condition for 17 years a left ankle ORIF and can't take NSAIDS. *I am not a drug addict or drug seeker.*
The female doctor, Stephanie Denison MD came in the ER room looked at me, never examined me and told me of a TOC referral for right spinal pain. My pain was in my left buttock, leg and ankle, not on the right side of my buttock, leg and ankle.
I was in pain for two and a half months, after this ER visit which caused me to miss work. I also has extreme fatigue and weakness with poor endurance which is a side effect of Toradol and Meloxicam for several weeks.
My former MD, along with my pharmacy insurance provider had to get my Tramadol prescription corrected. The lack of Tramadol is what caused my excruciating pain.
I'm a MS Hed RN, have worked with AHCA and CMS. I know standards of medical care. The medical care which I received at the Capital regional Medical Center's ER, was definitely, below medical standards. A complaint will be filed with the Florida Medical Board for failing to get my fifth vital sign under control.
This complaint is in response to reporting my bill of $185.68 to collections.
Arrangements have been made with my bank to pay $20.00 a month until the balance is paid in full. A copy of this complaint will be retained in good faith and for legal purposes.
ALCOA BILLING CENTER collects monies for HCA a for profit hospital organization that makes millions of dollars, noted online. It's been less than six months and sent my bill to collections, after missing work which has lowered my credit score. ALCOA BILLING CENTER and HCA will be held liable for the manner in which I was treated with not getting my pain under control in the CRMC ER, on 1/18/2012.
Desired outcome: Pain fifth vital sign to be controlled with appropriate hospitalization, which did not occur.
