The Bancorp Poor Customer Service and Money unavailablelnO

Complaint #2. .. new events now.. continued from complaint #1. I was offered no resolution to the 7 day pre aut due to not getting gas, due to their system being down last week UNTIL.. I told ION customer service that I would file a complaint on Complaint Board . . about being left stranded many miles from my home with no access to my money for gas. I was TOLD that I would have to wait an hour..to use my card again... they LIED.. they actually did not know. how long it would be . And it was not an UPDATE. I waited the hour and never could use my card to make purchases. NO access to my money. and 17 minute wait customer service waiting to talk to them to hear this as well.
A few days later. I call Money Tree who is contracted with the card to tell them about all this and inquire. Money Tree has EXCELLENT service. BETTER THAN A BANK. I have been with them for years.. THEY TELL ME THE TRUTH.. that the ION card company is having technical problems.. ( update my ###) and they needed to put a patch on a system network.. THIS makes sense. I have worked data tech support and customer service.. the TRUTH always calms a person down..
After hearing this .. I decided to WAIT to give this HORRIBLE company a chance. 2 days later .. went out to get gas today 11/20 @ 8pm pst.. and guess what.. ? I COULD NOT ACTIVATE MY NEW CARD that replaces the temporary due to guess what? TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES!.. SO I get transferred immediately to a rep.. and pretends to try to activate my card.. KNOWING THE SYSTEM IS DOWN AGAIN! AH! And guess what he tells me? " you can try calling the automated phone line to activate your new card? " AHHHH! ( yes.. the line that told me there are technical difficulties and auto -transferred me to this GUY! AHHHHHHHH!How stupid could I be to have expected to use my card after 2 weeks - going on 3 now. ..
So, I proceed to put 75 cents into my gas tank to make it to Marysville to Money tree, wondering if I am going to have to walk the rest of the way there while I have bronchitis. I get there and spend 30 minutes getting my old Cash Solutions RELIABLE CARD replaced.. and people are in line fussing with their ION CARDS.. they can't DEPOSIT or WITHDRAWAL after making a trip to Money TREE. Due to ION PREPAID VISA technical problems . ( which customer service reps call UPDATES)
This time the problem lasted over an hour as well. I never cared to check back.. I do not CARE. But I was there fussing for at least 30 minutes and the problem started 30 minutes prior to arriving to Money Tree. Part of that time was used to reactivate my old CASH SOLUTIONS CARD.
I am putting my money onto my husbands card to take care of my payments this week. In my case .. I drive 9 miles to money tree, but could not get my banking done due to ION CREDIT PREPAID VISA . But Money Tree's service is SOOOO good... I got to replace my old CASH SOLUTIONS RELIA CARD and now all of the supervisors know about ION and I am notify the DISTRICT MANAGER of Money Tree about the problem and Money TREE owners are LEGITIMATE very good business people.. I don't think they are going to appreciate this.. because it will make Money Tree look bad to new customers who do not know them. Hoping this relationship with Money tree will end soon with ION. And told the customer service rep that as well.
I could imagine waiting in line 1 hour to pay for a product on Black Friday.. only for the SYSTEM TO BE DOWN! I have to pick up my mother for the hospital tomorrow.. her appointment. .WHAT IF THE SYSTEM WERE DOWN! Or crossing a toll bridge and the SYSTEM IS DOWN ! SORRY!? Or what if I were taking my kids to the movies.. Birthday party.. SORRY! THE SYSTEM IS DOWN! What if I were paying for reservations at a hotel.. SORRY! THE SYSTEM IS DOWN you lose your reservation! I just LOVE getting stranded at the gas station too.. that is my FAVORITE with this card. Clerks wonder why i am sitting in my van for so long.. on the line with ION CUSTOMER SERVICE! What if I had to go to work in the morning and needed gas.. SORRY.. you are fired.. due to ION VISA PREPAID CARD and their TECHNICAL PROBLEMS.

Ion customer service, possibly somebody from corporate or upper management called to apologize a few days after I placed these complaints on complaint board. I was still pretty ticked and was not interested and speaking with them. Apologies are nice, but they had me so upset.. just better for my health to have little to do with them, so I said, "thank you" and hung up, , they kept calling me back. A few days later I discovered 20.00 they had placed onto my Visa Card. I am not sure why, but if it was something they did to apologize, then that is very nice. I have not used the card but once since the complaints . I order the old Cash Solutions Card ., now I will use both and end up paying 15.00 a month for fees if I use both cards. I will check and see if i can depend on this card in about a month or two when things should be more settled after so many people coming over to this card from Money Tree. We will see. Normally I am more gracious to apologies? But was little a early for that when they called and not over the horror of it all. . I was out on a job interview that day and just HORRIFIED over the thought that I could have been stranded in the morning before work and lost my job or got a bad record due to not being able to access my own money. But I DO have to say thank you and i am impressed with your at least attempting to provide good customer service after the fact. This shows good character and in good taste. So thank you for that.
