Furnace repair gone wrong
There service Technician came out to diagnose my malfunctioning furnace and said he would have to red tag my furnace because the heat exchanger was cracked, I could no longer use it. after the furnace was removed so they could install the new one I took it apart to check for cracks I found none. however, in the process I found a dead bird in the combustion air pipe that was causing the malfunction a simple fix remove bird, and it would have been fine. instead, it cost me $6500 for a furnace I really did not need. I Contacted the service manager who gave me nothing but grief. I will not do any new business with them.
Recommendation: Do not Trust a technician get a second opinion before buying a new furnace.

The 3-man crew from Service Professor installed a new Carrier Furnace and new 2 1/2 ton Carrier AC in my 14-year-old home 9/17. I've had a monthly maintenance plan with them for a number of years and have owned 10 homes over the years, but Service Professor is the only HVAC contractor I've used which also offered electrical & plumbing service, both of which I've used. The 3-man crew did an outstanding job installing my new furnace & AC, working nonstop to finish the job in one day.

Your electrician was at my home to inventory my electrical system. He was helpful and knowledgeable. He courteously answered my questions about the upgrades that were needed. I think *** is a credit to your company.

The $69 service fee should be waived if you choose to have them do the work. Every business I have ever used does this. Their service was great but they should really think about doing the right thing for the customers.

The service person first quoted my elderly mother $2,700 to install/move 4 outlets. When I said no, he charged her for one at an over inflated price of $700+ dollars. I am outraged and called another electrician that managed the job for $500 TOTAL. FYI the rate for NEW outlet installation is no more than : $150 per outlet. Then he lied and said he did all the work. They hire local contractors that guise as employees. I have used them for over 6k worth of work over the years and regret every dollar.

Most recently Annalise, the technician, started her time here by walking to the road and picking up our recycling cart which had been blown over after it got emptied early in the morning, and rolled it back up to our house for us! Then she did her fine job on making sure our furnace was ready to go for the winter season. Service Professor is an outstanding company to deal with! Very professional and friendly!

Carl was great! His positivity was refreshing. I overslept due to not feeling well the night before, but Carl did not judge me or treat me differently when I opened the door and was a mess. He was working with healthy time sensitivity. Sam Tran got me the best deal for my air duct cleaning and I will use this company again due to their work ethics.
Great customer service and knowledgeable personnel. Service call on furnace showed many issues and better off replacing. Was able to have new furnace installed the next day. Pricing might be a bit higher than other places, but peace of mind, excellent Carrier Furnace and being treated with respect is worth it! Definitely recommend this company.

In particular, Nolan and Jerry were personable, respectful of personal property, and provided invaluable answers to my many questions regarding the HVAC system in my home. They both exhibited good listening skills and shared educational information that will serve to guide my future decision-making with regard to any system upgrade options I might consider having installed in the future. The team's communication skills and shared expertise exceeded my expectations.

NOT RELIABLE and argumentative - first time I used them
NOT RELIABLE and argumentative - first time I used them. I received multiple emails, phone calls and text messages to confirm my appointment... the day of, they call me to say they have over booked, I would have to reschedule. After I arranged my work schedule around them, given tenants notice the water would be shut off, they leave me stranded with plumbing issues. I called to talk to a supervisor to make sure I would not be charged a trip fee. Spoke to "Dan" who refused to give his last name. Then the owner calls and starts arguing that I was not promised they would be here this morning... If you want reliable service, keep looking! This is NOT the place to find it.

Service Professor was great!
Service Professor was great! When our very old furnace and air-conditioner broke down within the same week, they were able to quickly get us on the schedule. The technicians and comfort consultants laid out several options for us and provided upfront pricing so we new what to expect. They also had financing options, which really helped given this was an unexpected situation. They installed everything as soon as possible, and we also decided to get our air ducts sealed, which made a huge difference with the uneven temperatures in our home. Every floor feels comfortable now, and our new heating and cooling system has been amazing! We highly recommend Service Professor if you want 5-star, professional service from a company that guarantees their work.

Tim was like a breath of fresh air
Tim was like a breath of fresh air. He knew his craft and was energetic to share that with me. He took over the things that went wrong the day that Zack was here. A smoke detector that was suppose to be changed was not. That smoke detector started to beep after they had left on Monday afternoon but Tim had one on the truck and changed it to a new one. I gad him check the electric panel since that is one other place that Zaks was suppose to tend to. The guy tgat Tim had with him went over that with me and tightened all the skews that needed to be. Also the new outlet that was placed on Monday was not working Tim showed me tgat I really need to push tge reset tab down hard to get it to work correctly. I would welcome Tim back anytime for an electrical job inthe future. Also tge guythatwaswith Tim on that job was also very sweet and accomadating.

This is the first time I've used Service Professor. Of course I've seen the commercials on television, so it was in the back of my mind to give Service Professor a call regarding my air conditioning. What really made up my mind was my friend used Service Professor for electrical work in her home; she could not have been more pleased with the service she received. Corey Warner showed up on time as promised. After introducing himself, he provided me an information packet which proved to be very helpful. He looked over my A/C unit, informed me of his findings, and then gave me three options to choose from to address the issue. Corey was polite, professional, and answered all of my questions--there were quite a few--so I also have to say he was patient with me and extremely knowledgeable. He did not push me to sign up for anything; however, I did choose to sign up for Most Valuable Person membership. I do hope that Corey will once again be my service professional if/when needed in the future.

Carl and Ron were the guys who serviced my home today. They performed whole-house duct cleaning which was LONG overdue. I am the new homeowner of this property - I've only been here for a month - and it was VERY obvious when I took possession that this place was in dire need of a deep cleaning. By the before and after pictures that Carl and Ron showed me once they finished their service visit - my thoughts on how badly overdue this type of cleaning was needed was indeed confirmed. They did an EXCELLENT job. They were professional, courteous, thorough and did amazing work. They took the time to show me exactly what and how they were going to perform their work, and they did it quickly and expertly. This is my second time in as many weeks as I have had Service Professor come out to perform work on my new home, and I can tell you in no uncertain terms - they have DEFINITELY earned my trust and continued business for the future of the time I own this house. Thank you both (Carl and Ron) for the EXCELLENT service! Respectfully

The entire Service Professor team was nothing short of fabulous today. Jacklyn, Jon, John, Dawn, Derek, Tony, and Rachael (I hope I did not forget anyone) each in their own way went above and beyond our expectations in addressing our home heating/cooling needs. The day started with a service request phone call at 8:36 am and we had installation and duct cleaning appointments scheduled for the following week by 3:57 PM. And there were all kinds of "above and beyond" efforts along the way, including one from the owner, Mr. Krause, himself. If you are in need of heating/cooling specialists the professionals at Service Professor are your provider of choice. This is a locally founded, owned and operated business that exemplifies virtues such as courtesy, promptness, thoroughness, honesty, and authentic engagement among so many others. A special "shout out" to John for giving us the prognosis on our existing system and Derek in designing a new system that fits our current needs and budget. We truly cannot say enough good things about the team at Service Professor.

We were going to have them do a new furnace and central air. We were lied to by the evaluator Tony Harker at least 3 time about 3 different things and probablymore. we were told our price at first would be around 8k. I made the mistake of showing him another estimate of 11k. so he decided to come in at over 10k instead of around the 8. I then told him that I was told if we couldn't do the bogo furnace deal we would be given a 1400$ discount. He stated that the price was for bogo furnace deal. however this was not the case because the company doesn't do the bogo furnace deal in manufactured homes. I decided to make a cash offer and was told after he did some number crunching, that the only way he could make it happen was if he downgraded our ac unit from a 16 seer to a 13-15 seer unit. wich again was not the case. We were never quoted for a 16 seer ac unit. It was always a 13 seer unit. He was completely untruthful about everything he told us. We spoke to a manager about this and was told he was just mistaken. Not true. We were blatantly lied to. I don't have faith in anything this company has told us and we decided to cancel our installation. In my opinion this is not an honest company.

I wouldn't even do one star! They tried scamming me into thinking I needed a new furnace & air conditioner. They said they could replace both with a middle of the line units for about $20-$22K. But not to worry they had a payment plan so all I had to pay was about $150 a month payment. Their repairman, Nathan told me my furnace burners & insides were rusted , the fan motor was out & it was not worth fixing. He said he put a part on my air but found out the motor on that was out & it was in really bad shape. I was lucky enough to get ***/ *** to come out for a 2nd opinion. *** found Duck Tape on my furnace fresh air exchange keeping it from coming on. He took it off after we took pics of it & my furnace came right on. *** said I have SS burners that have a life time warranty & there was NO rust on the inside. It looked really good. *** said the motor was out on my air conditioner & replaced it for $168.10, also no new parts on it from Service Professor. *** said it was the second time he found where Service Professor disabled a furnace to sell a new one to a senior. He said if I took it to court he would be right there with me. Nathan charged me for the part that didn't work/ also gave an est. of $1800 to fix the furnace. I called the office/ talked to management, he did not act surprised, never said sorry, I demanded my money back, which he did, he was very arrogant. Never said it wasn't their practice to scam seniors so I guess it is. The way the get a 4 to 5 star rating is call as soon as the repairman leaves, they ask if the repairman was nice, which he is very nice while he lies to your face. I gave him a 5 before I had any idea of his scam.

Angry? You bet! Visibily damaged faceplate half installed just left there.Later noticed in ceiling on inside of ceiling fan/light they left the plastic on parts, fire hazard. Wasnt going to say anything but since we were mistreated yet AGAIN yesterday(contradicting his msg left in spring) & since its safety issue, it should be noted. Jeff called in spring left msg apologizing all over place telling me he addressed the staff member & poor communication dropping ball etc. Telling me to call if there is anything he can do to "make it right". I had said my peace last spring so I just forgave & let it go. Fast forward 10mos later:furnace goes out yesterday. Decide to take Jeff up on "make it right" msg & gv chance to redeem. Called them 1st. Call ws off to good start friendly sched apt, no pblm, ws happy. THEN Ldy calls bk"sorry we cant come your acct is on hold" Asked why? Stated "idk will ask accounting they are "on phone". call Jeff he stated it ws due to the issues we had last yr. They tried to punish us for all of the horrible cust serv and crap work they did to us. lol Not giving these folks another dime, gv it to a new company instead. Told them what service profes did. They said unacceptable, let us show u what good cust serv is; 30min later 4 space heaters delivered b4 we even signed a contract! Said we arent like that, we wont let your kids go cold. Bought top of line furnace & already sent 3 new furnace purchases to them that were needed like now, 2 other repairs & going to buy central air unit as well as another furnace besides my 1st purch w them. Thx for being petty jeff u just brought the NEW company FAT $ tons of glowing reviews & business! Couldnt be happier! Cant say I didnt gv u a chance to "make it right" I did, u just lied w/that offer.

Noah came out to my house to help diagnose and fix a stubborn main sewer drain clog issue I have been dealing with
Noah came out to my house to help diagnose and fix a stubborn main sewer drain clog issue I have been dealing with. He was on time which is a huge plus. He spent time listening to what experiences that I was dealing with in regards to the clogged sewer line. He spent quite a bit of time trying to unclog the drain and had to use a smaller machine in order to navigate the turn in the main sewer line in the basement. Turns out that I have a root issue in my main drain. So now we have a technician that has a camera coming out to see how bad it is. But Noah was very professional, courteous and made sure everything was cleaned up when he left. Highly recommended, also the price couldn't be beat. The local company here in Holland, MI wanted a minimum of $350 just to pull into the drive way. The $99 drain opening is as advertised. Highly recommend these guys again and again! I'm not done yet. Since Google can only let you leave one review I have to add on to the original one. Later that same day Michael Brooks the Plumbing Supervisor stopped out to send a camera down through my main drain stack. After encountering issues with how many tight 90° turns in such a short run his camera wouldn't make the final turn to go out to the road. So he actually opened the main drain line by breaking the old bronze cap off after determining that the line was clear of raw sewage. He the inserted his camera and 4 feet past the foundation of the house there were roots coming in around a rubber boot connection. From there all the way to the roadway where it joined the main sewer line was perfect. Actually he said that it was in the top 98% of sewer lines he had seen. No undulations or breaks. This was good news since I was quoted between $4500 to $30k all depending on what he found. After doing the camera work he actually went outside in the heat to dig up where the line came out of the house. That is where we found out that it runs directly under the central air unit. At this point Mike stopped what he was doing and filled the hole back in and proceeded to discuss the game plan to convert my whole sewer line to glued PVC and never to have issues again. After discussing about punching a new hole through the foundation and reconnecting to the existing PVC outside. And also installing an actual 45° sewer cleanout that is to code as weekendinside the house. Now no one is wanting a $4500 repair bill, but it's definitely better than a $30k one. So now we move on to repair day. Mathew Leyland and Phoenix Paulin arrived right on time and ready to go. I showed them where everything was and they started working right away. I was initially told that the job was supposed to take 8 hours. They actually busted it out in 4. They said that it was one of their easier jobs that week, which was good to hear since it was a Friday and I totally get going in to a weekend and wanting it to be a easy day. They cleaned everything up and had me inspect the repairs outside before they covered it back up. Also the repairs in the basement as well. They also cleaned up the work site inside before leaving. All in all I was really happy with the service and the quality of work and the fact that I was kept informed of what was going on. I would highly recommend these guys.
