I booked tickets online for my family of 4 through skyscanner from London to Hong Kong. My son is 12 years old so on Skyscanner, I selected him as a child booking as on Skyscanner if the individual is under 15, you select the child as an option. The total price of the tickets came to 4,051 pounds for 3 adult & 1 child ticket (adult 1,082 and child 803 - including tax).
When I got to The Travel House details page for entering the travellers information, I entered all the information and when I got the confirmation email from The Travel House, there were errors on my son's booking details as follows:
His date of birth was printed as 2021 instead of 2011.
There was a typo in the name - extra name in the middle name
I called the Travel House within 5 minutes of receiving the email and pointed out the errors and they told me that I had to pay an extra 800 plus pounds to the change the ticket from child to adult fare which is ridiculous as the previous breakdown of the fares was:
Adult - 1,082.33 (fare including tax)
Child - 803.49 (fare including tax)
I understand that I would need to pay the difference of the adult ticket and the child ticket which would be 278.84 but they are asking me to pay 800 plus. No tickets had been issued at the time of my call and it was literally 5 minutes after I received the email.
Please can you help to solve this matter!
Many Thanks,
Doris Chan
Desired outcome: I would like to have my son's ticket changed to adult ticket with the middle name erased and pay the difference of 278.84 to have this done.
