I bought a pair of tickets online at TicketWeb.com for a concert in Downtown Boise (at the Big Easy concert venue). The tickets were to be held for me at Will Call. When I arrived to pick them up I was informed that, since I had not brought the original credit card used to purchase them online, I would not be allowed to recieve the tickets I had already been charged for. The girl behind the glass told me, however, that I could receive a refund through TicketWeb. Because a friend and I were meeting several other people inside, I was forced to purchase two additional tickets to be admitted.

TicketWeb has been completely unhelpful in my efforts to find an acceptable solution to this situation. They have responded that "all sales are final, " though I believe the definition of a "sale" is the exchange of money for goods or services and in this case no goods or services were provided. I was put in a position where I had to buy a second set of tickets for this concert because I was not allowed to pick up the tickets I had waiting at will call and the company refuses to compensate me in any way for the $58 I paid for the original set of tickets which I never recieved. Here is some of the communcation I have had with the company:

I arrived at the venue to pick up my tickets but I had forgotten to bring the original credit card I had used to purchase the tickets on Ticket Web. The girl at the box office said she could not give me the tickets. She said I could a refund through Ticket Web.

Dear Eric Ellis, Thank you for contacting Ticketweb. We would be glad to assist you. In reference to your request, unfortunately, we cannot refund or exchange your ticket order. As is stated in our policy, all sales are final. Ticketweb's policy also states that the original credit card used to the purchase the tickets must be presented to pick up tickets held at will call. Therefore, we are unable to honor your request. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any further inquiries or concerns please feel free to contact us. Thank you for using Ticketweb, we really appreciate your business.

This is the third time I have contacted you regarding the tickets I paid for but was unable to receive. In your reply (see below) you indicated that you would not refund or exchange because "all sales are final." However, a sale is an exchange of money for goods or services. Since I recieved no goods or services from you, there was no sale. I demand compensation from you or will be forced to take legal action. Sincerely, Eric Ellis

I had similar problems with Ticketweb too. I purchased tickets and wanted to get an exchange for another timeslot and wasn't able too. I ended up contacting the entertainment provider instead.

Ticketweb customer service is TERRIBLE! they make money by charging a huge service fee and by creating inflexibilities in customers.

Now this will be the second time Ticketweb ripped me off!

First show/concert I ordered 2 tickets, they where very cheap 12$ or so and TW noted NO service fee if picked up at will call...well I get an email stating I only ordered one ticket, and = 24$ RIGHT away I knew that was wrong, emailed and emailed and NO email or call back, so at that point my BF said well maybe you hit the wrong button don't be pissed, etc etc sooo I'm like OKAY...fine (mention::we didn't even go to the show bc I then seen tickets where really only 12 or so and WHY ticket web first said 12$ then has some sneaky email stating $20 each raises price first there wasn't a service fee now there is (total price matched and that's where trick u bc you're not paying attention tothat u see General Admission Total all big and bold and superrrrr tiny for showing 1 not 2 tickets, infacttttt it doesn't even say ticket, says delivery will call then slides the little 1 under delivery I guess that's where they say only 1 ticket delivered? Idont know, Im super pissed so I apologize if I'm not making much sense I just am mind boggiled...but anways I should have known better but the boyfriend had to calm me down and convince me it was prob my fault...

Here I am 3 weeks later same exact situation, order 2 tickets for 12 or so, they tell me I only ordered 1 thru a sneaky ### email, and even changed the price of the ticket on the wbsite! My friend was right by me and we where siked to see a show for 12 not even 25$ total...

Anyways point of all this? Ticketweb is a piece of ### and literally robbing people for their $ so you can live some sort of false extravagent lifestyle is just ###ed up..I'd love to find out the person/company who's behid allthis, very sneaky yes bc they know how to trick us, but I can say KARMA is a mother###er and I will let EVERYONE know about this, there's already a Facebook page with others telling their stories, ughhhhhhhhh

You agreed to their terms and service, but then didnt follow them. They are not the only company that would react in that way. Instead of blaming the company for their rules, blame yourself for your inability to follow them. They did provide a service, holding your tickets at the venue. You failed to follow the procedures to pick them up.

I wonder how many people do actually receive their tickets from Ticketweb. It seems like a so many people don't. I didn't receive my ticket either - after I paid a $1 service fee so they could mail a hard copy to me. They put the blame on the mail carrier - how convenient - and refused to refund my $1 service fee. I never received their "service", but feel free to take my $1. You poor things, I'm sure you need it.

It's a shame now, though, because I just can't bring myself to go to any concert that requires me to use Ticketweb. It doesn't matter how much I like a band or an artist. Nothing in the world is worth my going through this grueling and frankly unnecessary process to deal with such a terrible, unproductive company. That goes for the livenation/ticketmater conglomerate as a whole. If I want better customer service (or service IN GENERAL) I'm going to make sure it sure isn't Ticketweb.

Oh, and before you accuse me of not following the terms of service - those terms of service hold IF I receive the goods that I paid for.

Let me see if I got this right.. The original poster of this complaint is mad because he/she didn't read the terms of the sale. You clearly said "I forgot to bring my credit card". That's on YOU, not ticketweb. That requirement is to reduce fraud. I can actually see it on my ticket that I have printed in front of me for an upcoming event "will-call recipients must provide the purchasing credit card use during their rose when picking up will-call.." Even though I have a ticket, it still says that for will-call. It also says it clearly in their terms. It's not their fault you didn't appreciate them not wanting to bend the rules for you.

Another user here is blaming ticketweb for a "lost ticket" in the mail? Ok. Have you filed an official "lost" request with the postal office? That would be your first step. Since all ticketweb mailing are insured. But it's up to the receiver to file the complaint. If you would've done so, they could've tracked it and found out what happened. Then they'd pay you back via the insurance on the package. Pretty simple stuff. Iv had it happen to me a few times. (But why you'd select Mail over a simple printable ticket is beyond me)

Another user is upset at ticketweb because he/she didn't notice that she only purchased 1 ticket instead of 2. And that's ticketwebs fault your not paying attention? They ask you 3 times to confirm everything before your card is charged. Iv been buying tickets for events from ticketweb for years.. Iv never had a problem noticing the normal sized "quantity" pull down menu and selecting 2. Then when I'm reminded to confirm my order I can see the "quantity is 2" as expected. Some people should learn to slow down and pay attention and stop trying to blame other people for their obvious mistakes.

parties above claim they paid for a service they didn't recieve. Well.. Let me explain this in simple terms. You paid for a ticket. You pick your choice of ticket, mail, print or will-call, you go to the venue (who is simply the recipient of the ticket) and you don't follow "the venues" rules and terms and you blaming ticketweb? You tickets gets lost by the postal service and your blaming ticketweb? Direct your anger where it's due.

I had my own issues with ticketweb earlier today.. They started selling tickets to an event at 10am (which was known to be sold out in under 15min).. I was on the site right at 10am, I was placed in a "waiting area", then their site crashed. I lost my place in line and lost my tier level and had to move up to the tier 5 prices which were 75$ more. Think I'm happy about that? Nope. But am I going to start yelling and ### online about it? Nope. Things happen. In this case it actually wasn't my fault, but from the countless tickets that ticketweb has provided me over the years without incident, I let it go. Thier servers couldn't handle the 50, 000 requests all at 10am for that event. They did apologize for the server going down and released a another tier of tickets later that day to make up for that.

Hey you guys can always all go back to the good ol days when you had to put clothes on, head to the mall, track down a ticket vendor, and wait in line, then buy your hard tickets, then go back home. Those were much easier days huh?

Have NEVER EVER been successful in buying tickets from TicketWeb, despite applying 'on the dot' and refreshing page at the exact time (have done with other sites so know what I'm doing).. makes me wonder just who they are selling the tickets to.. Such a pants system. After reading the comments from others I realise that it probably wouldn't be worth the effort anyway

Ticketweb advertises UPS 2nd day when delivery is actually 3 to 4 days delivery. This is bad business. The customer should be charged for UPS regular delivery not 2nd day. Think of how much money Ticketweb is making by ripping off their customers by charging 2nd day delivery price. I felt like i didn't have an option other than to go along with this because after I read reviews about the Ticketweb website I could not trust them to have my tickets available at the venue or sent through regular USPS mail. Too many complaints about lost tickets or tickets not being available at the venue. There was not another option to get my tickets. I am going to contact the venue about this and if enough people are heard possibly the venue will discontinue to use Ticketweb.

I am glad I read these comments. This company honestly sounds like it has screwed a lot of people. Not worth the headache having to anticipate all of the freaking "what ifs". Also, by rolling the dice and purchasing tickets online, you are agreeing to being contacted by different marketing agencies - ugh! Why would you do that to someone unless you hate them - seriously! If I buy tickets, it won't be electronically with this organization.
