Well this is a first
D[arn] you, sir. Why can't you offer some arbitrary in-app purchases, so that I can give you more of my money, which you so rightfully deserve.
To be clear, this is easily one of the best games I've ever played. And yet, I only bought it once – ONCE! – and I think it was on sale for $0.99 then. Considering how much money I have puddled away on other games that engaged me, but that I never went back to when I was done with them, I am begging you to help me balance out my karma here, and take more of my d[arn] money already!
How about a little hat for Tiny Wings to wear? Goggles maybe? Or if you worry such customization will be a slippery slope (bwa-ha-ha!) for people to clamor for more goofy knock-knacks, I'd accept an in-app purchase for watching those little frogs dance, or Pelli singing a song, or a snowy-themed landscape, or just an extra screen with only text that read, "Thank you so much for your continued support." What you do with that money – abets I, a capybara farm, rocket powered rollers mates, investing in a kickstarted for Ecto-Cooler flavored dental floss, or just getting a good fashioned 8-ball for yourself and a few friends – that's totally your business. But it's just not fair that less considerate, less professional, and all around unworthy developers have "sold out", made bank for it, and here you are with Tiny Wings as the only app To your developer page. I wrote this review in response to the fact that I was going to find some other app you created, whatever it may be for, and buy it just because you deserve ye olde patronized with ongoing support.
So help me, my karma, and all around cosmic balance out here, and just please take more of my d[arn] money already.
The Greatest Game Ever To Grace The IPhone! (By Tyler Timko)
Forget Raid Shadow Legends and Super Mario Run, forget Angry Birds and Candy Crush. Tiny Wings is one of the most calming, challenging and artistically sound games ever to release onto the AppStore. It’s seems like a simple concept, use momentum Sonic the Hedgehog style to slide down slopes to reach new islands before the sun goes down, right? But it’s much more in depth than that! The islands are always changing, meaning you can never memorize the islands exactly as you played them! Plus there are the loads of challenges to do in the day trip mode! (My favorite is Holding your Phone upside down until island 5!) And the fun just keeps coming with Chapter 2: Flight School! Where you can choose from one of 4 birds, (Which you can name!) and race against computer opponents though 5 islands with multiple race tracks in each! And scoring well in the races gives you new nests with different colors plus additional score multipliers! Despite this game coming out in 2011 and not receiving to many updates since 2015, this game remains one of the best mobile apps on the market! There’s not an overwhelming amount of micro transactions, there’s no pay to win, there’s no ads, and most importantly the game is actually fun to play! This game deserves all the praise it gets and I hope anyone reading this review picks up the game either for the first time, or to look back at a game they played earlier in the iPhones life! The art and music, combined with the clever and rewarding gameplay makes this hands down, the GREATEST GAME on this entire App Store! Among all the knock off games, and bad games in general, this game stands like a shining star of what an Mobile game SHOULD be!
An instant 5 stars in my book!
Hitting a Tiny Wall
Tiny Wings looks great; the art is superbly cartoony, rounded, not pixelated, and colorful. The game play is also easy to learn and difficult to master. On that last part, I plateaued at about 100,000 points a game. Then the game lost all appeal for me.
What makes the game fun? The one touch controls in Tiny Wings are brilliantly done. You can touch the screen and watch the bird go into a steep dive or let go watch the bird flaps its comically puny wings. The trick is making the bird dive into a down slope and flap its wings in an up slope. Then the fun is watching the board cry out as it soars into the clouds.
The game was a blast as I mastered the one button controls and flew the bird all the way to the 8th island and over 100,000 points per game. Then I checked the leader boards. I am such a dummy that way. Players were maxing out at 400,000 points per game, per day. I kept playing in a futile if not Quixotic struggle to climb the leader boards. How many games should I play before giving up? You may as well ask how many hairs should you lose before you are bald. Either way, you do not really want to find out.
The broader question here is how much of the the fun of playing a game is the game play itself, the reward process, and the bragging rights. This is an old conundrum. In the old coin op arcade days, well reasoning people would spend a week's wages in quarters in for the goal of writing their three initials at the number one spot. Others would strive to see the elusive final screen, a screen that most games did not have. The fun factor would get people in the arcade but it was the ties to obsessive, compulsive traits that really opened up wallets. The wheel goes round and the games are pretty much the same, only with fewer buttons.

Great update! Two thumbs up Thank yu for the ability to listen to music while playing, thanks for fixing crashing bug & everything else! It's great. I think this app was well created. The music fits perfectly with this game. Please keep the music, it's extremely relaxing & unlike anything I've ever heard. The change in color when arriving at a new island is cool, and my most favorite part of all, the cute sound the bird makes :) I love the water paint look as well. It's very creative. Oh, & I loveeee seeing the mountain in the background when going downhill just before arriving at a new island.
But there are a few things that I would like to see in future updates. I don't really regret purchasing this app, but it doesn't have much bang for your buck like other bird games. And that's where me as a customer can shoot some ideas to you. Here are a few of my ideas:
- Another game mode like - -'''' HOW ABOUT A MODE WHERE YOU PLAY AS AN OWL, & YOU'RE PLAYING IN THE NIGHT, AND YOU HAVE TO GET AS FAR AS YOU CAN BEFORE THE SUN COMES UP''''
-"Momentum Mode" - In this mode, night isn't the enemy, but Momentum. The bird starts off down a small hill with a good amount of momentum, & uses that force throughout the entire level to reach as far as it can. Before the birds momentum runs out
- A game mode that revolves around the wind. The bird tries to press thru the horrific wind speeds blowing towards him. Trying to get as far as possible before the sun goes down.
- More birds with unique abilities
- More things to collect
- Allow screen to flip without having to change it in options, for our convenience
- Use of our iPod music while playing
- A team up with Angry Birds to create the best update these two apps will ever see
- Options to create our own hills
- Give us a penguin, in an arctic world with icy hills (Angry Birds doesn't have that bird).
GAME with no updates:(
Watch out angry birds the new Birtie is in town!

Fun, Simple Game With Some Issues
The gameplay itself is quite fun. I re-downloaded it recently and they've added a sort of racing mode to it where you race against other characters.
The controls work well, and while the game is very simple at its core, it takes some patience and timing to get your character further along in the world.
My only issue with the game is that to level up your nest you need to complete 3 objectives. Some of the objectives are fine and work with the gameplay (Get X Points, Get To Island 7, Get To Island 4 In Fever Mode, etc). However, some of them require you to go against what makes the game so fun, and basically try to not play the game properly - these tasks are not at all fun and hamper the game quite a bit. I'd have given the game a 5 if not for these.
These tasks include things like "Get to island 4 with no perfect slides" or "Get To Island 7 without entering fever mode", "Make it to island 5 without any speed coins". They force you to try to play the game sloppily, and slow down the game and take away what makes it fun. Some of them are frustrating because your bird just gets into the position where it's impossible to avoid doing what it says not to. For instance - you're going down and you can't really change how you're going to land and there's a speed coin right in your path, or you're going to land on the slope in the perfect spot and get a perfect slide; there's no way to avoid it; and when you've gone 4 islands without doing it and screw up one island away from getting it.
These objectives are not fun and they go completely against what makes the game so fun. It would be far better off without them. Goals like "collect x coins", "get to level x in fever mode" etc are fun goals - they make you learn how the game work and perfect it and work with that. Telling you to not play the game properly makes it frustrating, especially when you sometimes can't control what happens.

Dreamlike Beauty
I'm really enjoying this one. Fly and slide a pudgy little bird through beautifully rendered, procedurally generated landscapes, in order to get as far as you can by nightfall, when your ornery little ornithopter lays down her weary head to rest. The art style is very painterly and the music is fun, but soothing. There are a number of different islands to reach, each with their own terrain to explore.
You are presented with a series of hills you must traverse, which is accomplished by holding a finger on the screen to dive down the slopes and lifting your finger to fly up and over the hills. Those are the only controls. The game is all about timing and rhythm. You have to gauge your speed and judge when to dive, in order to retain your momentum. Simply elegant controls matched with the right-brain depth of play make for a very rewarding experience.
There are goodies to collect along the way and upgrades for your nest that are obtained by completing predefined objectives. At the end of every flight, it scores you based on islands reached, number of cloudtouches, fever mode streaks, and goodies grabbed. The game is OpenFeint-enabled, offering both Achievements and Leaderboards. None of these things are what make the game good, it's the fact that the game allows you to enter the flow state.
Playing Tiny Wings is very Zen-like; the feeling one gets when hitting the slopes perfectly and soaring into the sky is profound. This game is like flying through a storybook and it captures the beauty of dreams.
Update: After playing the game for quite a while I started to feel a bit strange, so I wanted to give you guys a heads up. I believe the feeling was what is commonly referred to as "happiness". I stopped playing immediately, of course, just to be safe, but I'm pretty certain that's what it was. Therefore, I must offer my professional opinion on the matter, which is as follows:
If every person in the world played Tiny Wings, there would be no wars.
Decent But Lacking
I dunno...it's kinda fun but way too repetitive. I think I'm bored of it already...for now.
There's no variation in the game, nothing to look forward to. Sun goes down and you start over. It's not like you're ever really completing a level because getting to level [protected] etc...is something you have to accomplish every game. I can get to world 5-6 every time, once in a while a little further but after level 4 you have NO room for even a slight error so if you slip, there's no recovering, nothing you can do, no hope for a lucky power up or anything to help you move on...it's game over guaranteed around level 5 if you're not in the perfect groove. Back to the start.
The landing is so random too, so if you're coming down towards the hills and not lined up with a slope, that throws off your groove, you slow down completely and you're basically done-even though you did nothing to cause that. Its just random unluckiness which would be okay if the sun wasn't moving at such an unfair pace.
The only purpose is to beat your own score doing the same game over and over. Just wish there was more to it...something to make it...worth playing.
I guess it sort of has the same style as doodle jump where you're starting over and striving towered beating your own score but at least that had powerups and things along the way to change up your game and make it more fun, things you could grab last minute to save your game from ending and no time limit (sun) making it overly difficult to move on at the same point EVERY TIME (as I said, around level 5 there's no room for error). I don't even know what the coins or blue circles do in this, but they definitely don't make it more fun. I think one helps your speed but that doesn't help much
Cool concept, it's decently fun once you get in the groove and hit the angles right, I just wish there was more to it and that you didn't hit that difficulty spike so quickly that makes the game impossible to enjoy further. I hope there's a way to update this to make it more fun...
Tiny Wings" Only FLAPS
This game only FLAPS. its wings get it somewhere but not far enough.
first let me be clear-- totally worth the buck I paid for it. fun, and not just once. but I do have qualms with it, and doubt I'll play it much in the future.
here's why it only FLAPS:
F- frame rate. too often a minuscule freeze or frame drop destroyed my (literal) momentum, leaving me feel victim to the game. I'm on an iPhone 4, so it's not my hardware...
L - levels. this game is basically one long level with different terrains. you can't save progress. the goal is to get more points. "but how?" you ask. "surely a game that's all about movement and progression would focus on an end point." no sir, not this one. the problem is that many times the right way to do something points-wise is not going to help you get further ahead. maybe a clearer scoring mechanism would make me care about scoring more. but I just want to get to the 7th level
A - arbitrariness. the levels are somewhat generated automatically, right? there's something I don't like about the layout of the levels. they feel a bit characterless. that might be part of the nature of the game's mechanics, but it's still frustrating. the momentum of the bird itself, though is very fun to learn. it has it's own upward lift, so there's a tiny sweet spot that's a joy to hit. the ceiling at the top of the screen, however, isn't as fun to hit.
p - pressure. simply put, this game needs pressure variance. I am afraid of busting my screen playing, because it feels like the bird's wing flapping should be measured by percentage, not a toggle.
S - sleep the game maker left out a possibly very fun part of the game-- the "running-out-of-time-last-chance" momentum decelerator. instead of rewarding any momentum you've built up, you just fall asleep, literally straight down, when time runs out. it's a bummer. I haven't been near the steep slope at a level's end when it has happened, but im sure it will frustrate me hugely when that inevitably occurs.
ok the acronym is dumb, but it sums up where the game disappoints. the game has a super high rating and popularity, so I'll leave it to others to describe its strong points.
This game is pure therapy!
It's great to remember that life is more than just hard work to make money, raise your family, set up retirement funds, secure hedge funds for your children's children, etc... It's the old proverb that $ can buy u happiness, also that money is the root of all evil; I agree to diss agree, sure I want nice things in my life and yes money is one way to acquire this but it will leave a serious void in one's life... i.e., LIFE! I erase my my high scores in life just as in this game bc it allows me to take stock and reflect on what's truly important in life, family, friends, loved ones etc. this is what drives me as a human being and will always be what motivates me, (although it's also my biggest obstacle to peace to quote a very wise man, my father;) life is not always fun and games and there are always going to be serious issues to address on the path of life and obstacles to overcome but when we r in tune we realize that we set those obstacles ourselves, blaming others for ones own inequities will always lead to the same conclusion, it's when we stop focusing on what others are doing, & start focussing on what I am doing, weather that be Playing a game or hopefully writing a stellar review on one of my favorite games :) its fascinating to c the correlation between these facets we call "life". A loyal fanboy, squirrel nuts.
P.S. an actual squirrel licked my foot a few days ago while I was @ a local coffee house and it was the first time in my entire life that this has ever happened. (I don't know who was more scared, me or the squirrel) but what I do know is that to have a magical moment like that transcends any pathetic forms of trying to actually convey this, it is something to be experienced. I have been sharing the experience with friends and family bc it was that generous gift that the squirrel game me which helped me to return to my pure innocence, it gave me my vision back so to my brave little friend who found me amidst one of my darkest hours, thank you from the bottom of my heart & next time I'm at the park or taking a stroll through the woods I will deffinettely remember to share my sunflower seeds! Thanks again little buddy, say hi to the family for me ;")
Great game
The idea for this game is great. The physics in the game are perfect for gameplay. The game is a lot of fun and insanly addictive. There is only one thing i dont like about the game, amd that is all the unused potential. This is the kind of game that is really fun , but has a lot more potential in it. Id lf the creaters are smart then the game will only get better. Tjis game could be like fruit ninja, anpther great game. Fruit ninja started out with a good idea, and then made it a great idea by adding things to the game, like unlocks, achievements, but above all new game modes. There is so many diferent game modes you can add to this game. And also upgrades you can achieve. One other thing is the whole idea of unlocking better nests is a step in the wright direction, but isnt great. Most players like an upgrade that they can see and feel the diference in the game, whereas with somthing like the nest its just numbers and numbers arent what people get exicted for, or play for hours on end for. Forexample, maybe every five nests yuo earn, instead of getting a new nest you get somthing like 5% more coins, speed coins more powerful, things like that. Also the most impotant thing is they need more game modes. They could have endurance mode where your on onebisland that gets progresivly harder, or hill climb mode where you have to go up a steeper and steeper hill for as far as you can go, or a downhill mode where you go down a huge hill and at the bottom is a finish line and your time is your highscore and you can work to beat it. Also one last thing they need is unlocks and achievements. This is somthing almoat any good game has. Unlocks can be as simple as a new color or style for your bird, or maybe you can put him into cloths u can unlock. Achieve ments can be things like go an entire island with only perfect jumps, beat a sertan time on downhill mode, hit the clouds five times on one island, get every coin on an island, get to island 7 ect. Overall this game is a great concept, well executed, and really fun, but if they want to stay at the top the need to expand on this idea, because the is so munch potential for this game. Also they need to fix the glitch right before island five
No music
UPDATE:. No sooner did I post this review when I remembered I was playing with my iPhone settings a couple months ago. (I know...I've neglected this game).
Anyway, there's a feature under "Accessibilities" called "Sound Recognition" that I had turned on just for the fun of it...to see how many times people cough or dogs bark around me. Apparently if you have this feature turned on, it messes with the music on Tiny Wings. So if the music on Tiny Wings is not working, and you've tried everything, turn off "Sound Recognition" in "Accessibilities" in your settings...unless it's more important for you to be notified every time a dog barks, siren wails or sick person coughs around you, than to listen to this calming music. Besides, if you can't hear dogs barking, sirens wailing or people coughing, how are you going to hear the notification? And why don't they include "smoke alarm" in their list of sounds? If you don't have a dog to wake you up as flames are chasing him down the hallway, there's nobody around who is coughing (and if there was someone else with you who is gagging on smoke particles, YOU would be coughing, too), and notifications of sirens is a bit "too little too late" under the circumstances; because by the time you hear sirens (or DON'T hear them...that's the whole point, isn't it?), you will have already been burned up in the fire. They should've included smoke alarm sounds. See? You don't need that feature. Turn it off so you can hear Tiny Wings music.
Now that THAT is fixed, I can go back to ignoring this game again. . Just kidding. I do love this game, and I'm so happy I found the fix!
Original post:
Music is missing. I used to turn on the game to listen to the music because it was so relaxing. I know I can download the song from itunes store, but I also enjoyed listening to it as I played the game.
I've done everything to try to get it back: I've turned off and on the music toggle in settings, I've turned off and on my iPhone, I did a hard shutoff (home key and power key simultaneously), I've turned off the game completely, and even deleted the game and reinstalled.
If I do find a fix, I'll post it. But please, Devs, if you have a fix I haven't mentioned, please let me know. I love this game with the music, but without it, it isn't as fun.
Fun Game, Unique Art Direction, Easy Controls!
Worth the price of admission to play, Tiny Wings is very fun in short bursts or somewhat longer sessions, easy to control, has cute graphics and art direction in general, and has a decent little system of progression which involves completing objectives to unlock new nests for your tiny bird.
The controls are simple; touch and hold the screen to fold your wings inward and "accelerate" down hills but NOT up them. You'll move quicker up hills by letting go of the screen so he can flap his wings a bit... BUT... they're TINY and not powerful so your timing is key to success. So, using this system of "ebb and flow" you'll be able to get into some real nice rhythms and even get some serious air... sometimes even enough to earn a "Cloudtouch" bonus or perform a "Great Slide" maneuver which earn points and sometimes help towards completing certain objectives for unlocking new nests. This control scheme is nothing particularly new but pretty unique none the less and it works just as advertised. I never felt cheated by sloppy controls. All skill here!
And along with these solid controls comes the aforementioned progression system. It all ties in quite well and for this reason, Tiny Wings is actually playable for longer than just short bursts. I find myself addicted and trying just one more time to complete objectives to get new nests. In fact, I took a short break from writing this review just to go back and try 2 objectives again... one of which is still juuust beyond my reach!
So overall, I have no hesitations in recommending Tiny Wings. It's got a semi-unique gameplay style. Gives you some decent reasons to come back and play for more. And it's pleasant on the eyes and appropriate for all ages. Oh, also... the music and sounds are a pleasant surprise for the ears. It's a smooth blend of serene and calming tunes mixed with cute little sound FX. Again, I was pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of this aural selection. It blends seamlessly with the soft color pallette and otherwise soft look of the game to create an overall sort of "calming" work of art... All while you're trying desperately to get into juuust the right rhythm so you can get that one LAST Cloudtouch and unlock the next nest!... or, something along those lines :P So, I'd say it's a perfect blend of ideas into one neat little, TINY, package. ENJOY!

HOW DO YOU LIKE THIS!. NOT WORTH A FLIPPIN DOLLAR . I WOULD RATE THIS 0 STARS IF I COULD. BIG LET DOWN

I've got an idea2make this#1
My idea is use the multiplayer race mode from the woody wood pecker game that does just that to this game It could even have a single player race against ai or with friends online to breath new life in2 it so
Please update the Objectives system I've been stuck for a year now on 24x nest one last stupid thing is keeping me from going and it's that stay in fever mode for 36seconds is driving me nuts so I don't even play any more u got runner up for goty for Godsake and jetpack joyride or don't run with a plasma sword keep updating more often and make it so the coins can actually buy stuff. I'd like to see some of that implemented here so we can buy missions we are having trouble with i don't want to dart over and redo what I've done already. It's rediculous that for a year I've been stuck at the same place and the only update is to fix bugs and slight controls I can't even tell. But I'm pretty bored with this game since I can't progress! Please add some content to ur game there's just no insentive to play over the rest since u can pay off objectives u fail to get new ones to keep it fresh new and always have new fun goals here I'm just stuck for eternity I'd expect a content update by now. Just check out some of the other endless crowds and add some minor improvements like better mission system and a store to spend the coins now it feels like anhalf finished game compared to what's on offer elsewhere. So this game get very lil attention anymore. It majorly needs some Minor changes. And asap since a ton off new ppl will hop on it from goty runner up status. I don't think they should award that based on number of downloads or reviews. It should be based on actual gameplay and staying power this was fun for 20 mins To a couple hours then u hit ur skill cap and stay there forever and it's boring forever never being able to progress stuck in a loop never seeing the new islands challenges get ridiculously hard real fast and then u either reset and get stuck at same place again or stay put and be bored n never play. Please update add stuff u got like millions on this one. Rehire the programmers or somethin to just add some stuff.
Also added can u please fix the cloud touch slamming me into the ground it always occurs at the most untimely instances when I'm in fever and going fast and high get a cloud touch and slam into a hill wrong with no way of controlling or preventing this a simple raising of the ceiling would work or allow us to go over the clouds would be cool if maybe some stars or something were up there then we
Could get a star touch or sun maybe and even add some new challenges to freshen things up. And maybe the next update should include some new features and challenges to make it fresh again I haven't been playing as much as i used to mainly cuz I'm stuck at the nest I'm at by 1 challenge the stay in fever for 36seconds seems impossible so could u please borrow the challenge system that jetpack joyride has were it swaps out future challenges everytime u pass one so u don't have to beat all 3 if u get stuck and implement a coin system idk what there used for we should be able to not only buy a challenge complete if we get stuck like JJ has but also be able to buy upgrades w/coins some change gameplay but others customize ur bird this would add incentive to play I've had this game since it was app of the week it came out and I just got bored when I got stuck and coins don't do anything nothing to earn so a new content update would make this game once again great it's still fun but updating it to keep up with the new features would bring it up2date with some of the newer games use it's still 1 of my fav games so it'd be great to see some support and have new stuff to make it grow and make things fresh again. Thanks n keep up the good work I'll wait for the issues to be resolved before updating
Alot of fun to be had here but it can come to an end real fast when challenges or task to level become too hard to complete such as were I'm stuck on one that has me simply stuck for months now I have to stay in hyper mode for over 36 seconds only problem is that seems to be randomly ended by bad hill placement that's totally out of my control cuz in order to stay in hyper mode u have to perform perfect dips 3 times in a row and then each hill u touch after must be a perfect swing but hills randomly generated will put a peak or dip just out of reach of ur flight or fall path and end the hyper mode which has been frustrating and caused me to loose alot of interest since not much progress can be made since it seems I will only one day randomly achieve that absurd amount of time in hyper mode. Maybe there should be an update with some new modes or something or some otherway to unlock better nest or maybe create alternate challenges to obtain the new nest or maybe even make it so hyper mode isn't as hard to maintain the longer ur in it for example for every 3 perfect hills after ur in hyper mode u could be granted an immunity to an inevitable imperfect swing this way progress will not be so impeded cuz it also seems that the speed and highest number of islands u can reach before sunset is directly affected by the multiplier in ur nest cuz everytime I upgrade my nest I can get one isle further then before but this challenge has me stuck at island 7 and looks like I'll never see the 8th & 9th isles unless an update changes some things.
But this Is my only complaint about this game and it's only 1$ and is fun and relaxing it's alot more so when u can actually make progress but I still give it a try every once in a while I was really addicted when I regularly upgraded nest until I hit my skill cap and got stuck but don't let that stop u from gettin it& think it's bad cuz it isn't and has more personality then all it's spin offs. But they need to update it cuz it's just above average without new features like JJ has and DRWAPS are the best in endless runners out there ATM tiny wings is showing its age

CHANGES PLEASE
WTF?!?! Ok... This is a lot of fun, but some MAJOR changes need to be made. There should be an infinity mode where there isn't a day/night timer. And the day and night timer should reset the same amount after every island (or based on your speed or whatever). This is because on the first level, you beat it, and then the timer resets until the sun goes completely out of view. If you do that on one of the later islands, it moves back not even a millimeter WTF? If you want to make those levels more challenging then make the island longer instead of making the timer reset less and less. Serious improvements need to be made otherwise im sticking with a 2 star rating.
Just get penguin wings!
Ok I hate this game in every way shape and form! You Can get penguin wings for free and get a much better game!I mean somebody might like this but I like being able to change characters relax not feel frustrated and have a good free game! Hey if your the person who likes lame paid games that are frustrating and pointless infante games then go ahead download I wish I could rate it 0 stars! Do not be that person! Hey download it for all I care but a wast of money is all you get so when you get a good game like dragon vale and you want gems and you don't have enough money then you realize you wasted money on tiny wings overall stupid do NOT download only word I have is DUMB!
Fun for about a week
I really liked this game but its extremely repetitive and truth be told boring. Its not a fun game to do a thousand times because all the levels are exactly the same. You can never get past a certain point so you have to restart to get to the same point again. Theres not much to be said about this game, because there isnt much in this game. If you want a good game get cut the rope or plants vs zombies and dont waist your money on this game. I would say go to the free app store, but all those games are a lite version of a paid game, some slight deviation of farmville, a bad game, a good game that was turned bad by in app purchases, or a decent game hidden somewhere by all the bad ones.

O k
The game itself is very boring after a few trials. The challenges/nests are a good idea, however, they aren't executed very well. Some challenges popped up as complete when i didnt actually complete them, and others are hard to accomplish unless you practice that specific area 30+ times. (which is annoying seeing as you have to start at the beginning of the first island every time.) this game seriously lacks any sort of backbone when it comes to diversity. Other then that, i guess its pretty fun pushing 1 finger down in the same spot on the iphone over and over.. In conclusion, if you have a dollar to waste, you'd be better off throwing it in the garbage.
2 words for 5 stars:
Practice mode.
I don't hate it it just that
The game dosen't offer much the only thing you do is jump island to island what the objective of this game? I have played this game for a while and i have seen a few errors that should be fixed like makeing it be possible to outrun the moon/night i mean when i get to island 6 after that it impossible to get to 7 without night chatching up with the bird and add a little more gameplay like power ups the only think i see as a power up is a speed boost but that dosen't last long if you atleast don't fix that in gameplay in a matter of time this game will go down in rateing but for now the game is alright angry bird is a little better but i see that this game has potencial just work harder on the gameplay :)
How is this game fun?
I dont see how playing the same 7 or 8 islands over and over again is fun. It gets boring after two hours.
The game is for a 2 year old child because it's so easy a caveman could play it. This game won't challenge you a tiny bit. If you fail after 10 minutes you start over again. So to make this game less lame the colors change evrey day. Wow how creative.
This is by no means better than any game in top 10 especially angry birds to which it is far inferior.
I don't care that the bird is cute when the game itself is more boring than reading an encyclopedia. Unless something is wrong with me and I don't see the fun part in the game when you repeat the same level 1000 times.
Does not deserve #1 spot.
Boring
I really don't understand why this game is getting so many good reviews. The controls are horrible and the game itself gets boring after five minutes. I agree that Angry Birds does get boring, but that has happened over the course of a YEAR, not five days. No matter how great a game is, it will eventually get boring. The important thing is that the game is good and that it stays that way for as long as possible (which Angry Birds has done by constantly adding new levels, characters, and themes). Just in case you think I am some Angry Birds employee trying to fight the competition, I assure you I'm not. There are many good games such as Mad Skills MX, Balliland and Unblock Me where you get much more bang for your buck.
Really Boring
All you do is "control" the speed of this bird as it goes up and down hills. Sometimes you pick up some gold coins or a power up or something, but 99% of the time it's just your bird, going up a hill, and then down a hill, and then, big surprise, back up a hill.
I honestly can't see how everyone is giving this game five stars. I've been playing angry birds for a while, and that's a five star, addicting game. But tiny wings is an incredibly boring, pointless game that is pretty much the same thing over and over again.
If it was free I wouldn't care but it's not. Granted it's only $0.99 but still, they should at least have a free one where you can play for 60 seconds or something just so you can see if you like it or not.
Wake Up!
Andreas Illiger! Wake up! All of you fans! Wake up! Yes, this game is fun, but it doesn't deserve all these stars. There are a number of reasons why, the main one being :the developer of this game has abandoned it. This game has been on the app store for more then a few months, yet it hasn't had a single update! Not one single update! Version 1.0! 1.0!
I would think most people would be outraged. This game should have more score multipliers, retina display, and most of all MULTIPLAYER! I'm sure multiplayer couldn't be that complicated. I'm sure it would be infinitely simpler than almost all other multiplayer games. It would after all just be a 2d race. Please please please update!
Edit: it has had an update, but none of any importance.
Was Almost Perfect
New review: The new update has made high scores and fever modes a thing of the past. The bird almost hesitates to come back down from jumps, but the speed at which you fly along hasn't slowed to compensate. The result is less precision, shorter fever times and lower scores. I haven't come close to 200,000 since the update. Is it just me or are the levels less fever-friendly as well? (smaller hills everywhere)
Old review: All around, one of the best iOS games that I've played. Polished graphics, great music track and simple spot-on controls. Other than an occasional frame rate hiccup, it is an excellent time waster.
I'm not even sure what would make it better. Another music track maybe? (the first one is already a perfect mood setter) Definitely worth a dollar!
Frustrating
I've had this game for a long time and at first I enjoyed it, however I can't get past level x28 because there's some ridiculously difficult challenge requiring players to fly through the 4th island in fever mode. I've been trying to get past this for months.
Every time I play I just get annoyed with what used to be a fun game for me to play. I think the devs should re-think progression to not include challenges. Casual players should not be forced to struggle for months to continue progressing through the game. Accolades are great, but not when you're forced to rank up by getting them. I hope if nothing else the game will remove this challenge and leave it as optional, along with any others that people are struggling with on other levels.
I do not have fun playing this game.
The Emperor has no clothes people
Looks like the people have been tricked. In fact the game was very boring. No goals, no achievements, no feeling good about yourself when you finish a level. With angry birds, when you pass a level, you want to move on to the next one. I didn't get that feeling here. It's all sort of redundant and repetitive. I wasn't sure that I wanted to get this game, just as I wasn't sure that I wanted to get Angry Birds, but at least Angry Birds had a free version that I could try before paying for the full version. This game didn't have a free version, and I guess that should have been my first clue that the game may not live up to my expectations. I was fooled by all of the positive reviews. Makes me wonder if we were playing the same game. I guess it's fun for the simple minded folks. The Emperor has no clothes people.
SO DOES NOT DESERVE 5 STARS
I would give it two or three stars but it DOES NOT DESERVE 5 STARS. if you are buying this do not your just wasting money but if the [censored] test and games like that are the only ones u have its a good starter game. I could not imagine a normal person actually giving this 5 stars. WHAT YOU DO IN THIS GAME IS BASICALLY JUMPING FROM HILL TO HILL AND YOU HOLD THE SCREEN WHEN YOU WANT TO DIVE. its fun for about ten minutes then you put down your ipod. You will play this game for a month in fifteen minute segments a few times a week then it will be your least used app. Every time you die you HAVE TO START OVER. After level four it gets so hard you have like 15 seconds to get out or you die. You have achevements you have to do get to the next nest and you still have to start from level 1 (the same thing). This game will waste your time and im not joking.
Huge fan of original, but update ruined this game
I absolutely loved the original Tiny Wings! But with this version there's a definite time delay between when I touch the screen and when the bird starts to descend. What's worse, the time delay changes! Sometimes the bird stars to drop immediately but other times the bird drops 2-3 seconds after I touch the screen. I haven't come anywhere near my previous high scores on the original (I would have been fine with making the game harder but the time discrepancy is not a fair or fun way to go about that). The option to switch between the 2 landscape orientations is gone and the game doesn't calibrate to the way I'm holding the phone. I either have to change which way I'm holding the phone multiple times or I have to close out of the app multiple times. Very frustrating. I wish I hadn't updated. This new version also has too many add-ons and options (for my taste), but the technical problems can't be overlooked.
Definitely not angry birds
Don't be fooled by the reviews, this game is fun don't me wrong but if you've played a game like Robot Unicorn then this is exactly the same. You fly and have to control you flight to make jumps and get some stars and blue orbs and get to end before the sun goes down and if you do the sun comes back up and now your in the next level and then it repeats over and over till the sun goes down then your game is over and you start over! :((
Most games have levels and you keep moving forward in your game to try and make to the end... This doesn't, you play nonstop till the sun goes down then you just start over.
This has potential but really is a big fail of a game, try out robot unicorn that game is better than this one but fir many reviews to say anything about it being better than say angry birds etc. Just likes hames that cannot be continued or has no depth or skill.
But fir a buck it's fun so I'll give it 2 stars but 100% not even close to being the top game right now!
Poorly balanced = not enjoyable
I tried this on an iPhone 5s. It's a great concept, love the mechanics and the graphics. However, the game is just too hard, creating choke points in the single-bird island hopping levels that you simply cannot get around unless your play is perfect. I've only made it past island 7 one time and that was by dumb luck. And if you blow it, it's back to the beginning. Plus, the island terrains change every 24 hours at midnight so unless you can afford to cram in a lot of play to figure out the maps in order to get the right jump sequences before the maps change, you're basically not going to progress. Then once you do get those worked out, you're still facing a change of maps at midnight, thereby putting you back where you started! For the race maps, where you're playing against the AI's birds, even with perfect play (that is no stalls or hitting water traps) you consistently will finish 2nd or 3rd. Bottom line: this game is too annoying to enjoy. Maybe on an iPad the experience is better.
Awful
Boring, repetitive and buggy. On iPad half the time it doesn't register the touches correctly so you only get credit for a little over half the great jumps you actually do. Makes you dive when you're not touching it, makes you fly when you are. Makes getting the "be in fever mode for x seconds" and "do x great jumps" requirements all but impossible due to bugs.
Of course he made v2.0 a free upgrade, because it's just more of the same boring, repetitive stuff as v1.0. Do the first island, you've done them all. Exact same thing over and over and over and over. 5 star reviews were from friends and/or children and/or people who are dumb enough to be entertained by endless repetition of the exact same thing. Kind of like infants with a Kleenex box. "Wow! It just keeps making more! Duuuhhh... I pull out a Kleenex and a new one appears! I do it again and it does it again!"
You'd have to be straight up Honey Boo Boo/"Have you seen my baseball?" slow to enjoy this for more than about 5 minutes.
Looking for a boring, repetitive app that's buggy on the iPad? Look no further!
Loved it at first, now it
This game has a great, simple premise, attractive graphics and sound, and (mostly) smooth gameplay. I wanted more when I reached the x24 score multiplier of the 1.0 release, but the 1.1 release added so much difficulty, it seems the developer intentionally built in new achievements that are so hard to reach that he wouldn't be bothered with any more update requests. At nest level 10, I find it is simply too difficult (in fact, IMPOSSIBLE: "fever king" especially!) to advance! As such, the game has become an exercise in repetitive frustration.
The advanced Achievements really need to be reworked and the difficulty of several of the islands needs to be scaled back a bit too. Also, the addition of new coins (e.g., extra time, super jump, perfect slider, etc.), aerial aids/challenges (e.g., jet streams or different types of clouds helping or hindering with wind), arcade-style "levels" (i.e., each island would be its own level with different challenges and increasing difficulty), and a Zen mode (as others have suggested) to just relax.
I hope to see at least some of these features introduced as the developer continues to add to this extremely promising game. But, until there's a significant update to address the Achievements and excessive difficulty of the current version, I just won't be playing.
About Tiny Wings
The objective of Tiny Wings is to help a little bird with tiny wings fly as far as possible across a series of hills and valleys. The bird's wings are too small to sustain flight, so players must use the hills to gain momentum and launch the bird into the air. The game is divided into different islands, each with its own set of hills and challenges.
One of the things that make Tiny Wings so appealing is its charming graphics and sound effects. The game has a hand-drawn aesthetic that gives it a whimsical feel, and the music is upbeat and catchy. The game's visuals and audio work together to create an immersive experience that draws players in and keeps them engaged.
Another aspect of Tiny Wings that makes it so addictive is its simple yet challenging gameplay. The game is easy to pick up and play, but it takes skill and practice to master. Players must time their jumps carefully and use the hills to gain speed and momentum. The game also has a scoring system that encourages players to keep playing and try to beat their high score.
Overall, Tiny Wings is a fun and engaging mobile game that has stood the test of time. Its charming graphics, catchy music, and addictive gameplay make it a must-play for anyone looking for a fun and challenging mobile game.
