Over the past five months I have seen a $9.99 charge on my credit card that I had no idea what it was for. I finally found out where it originally came from. I booked airline tickets online and was offered a 20% discount. Don"t do it! When you click on the"yes"button for the discount it signs you up for a"membership" to this tlg great fun company. There is no confirmation, no acknowledgment, nothing.

By calling [protected], I was able to cancel the so called membership and the csr said they would credit back the last two charges. Any other charge would need to have a written request faxed to [protected]. This is a westerville, ohio number. I've tried to fax but the line is always busy.

Hope this helps anyone who might have had the same thing happen. It seems that they are stacking up a few complaints.

On November 7th, 2007, I was charged $11.99 from the company called "TLG/GreatFun" (Trilegiant). I did not authorized this debit to my ATM credit cardand have never heard of this company. I called my bank to dispute the charges and to gather more information on why I was getting charged. Because the charge was still pending there was nothing (SO THEY SAY) they could until it was posted. They gave me the company's 1-800 number, and ensured me that if it continues they would credit my money back and change my account number. Before I called, I did a quick Google on the company. All I could find was Credit Card Scam, Rip-off Company, etc...

Below are a few of the links. /URL removed/ http://www.girardgibbs.com/trilegiant.html?gclid=CPK4sJGUy48CFSFaagodkRnu-g
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/scam_alerts/trilegiant_complaints.html

After calling the company at [protected], they asked me for my name, address, phone number, etc... I told them that I wasn't giving them any additional information b/c I didn't know how that got enough information to charge my credit card in the first place! Then I replied that I Googled the company and all I could find was it is a credit card scam. Of course, they put me on hold forever until I got a Supervisor. He started with the same line of questions and I gave the same reply. After typing my name into the computer system he said that by making a purchase through AVON Online and accepting the "DISCOUNT", I authorized 1 month free membership. I am very anal about checking NO for subscription on everything. I don't know how that got pass me. I think it could have been the "FREE SHIPPING", but I don't know! I never got notified or any confirmation of this membership from AVON or TLG (Trilegiant). The Supervisor name is Mark Wright.

I don't appreciate AVON sharing my personal information to a third party. That is suppose to be against you Privacy statement. It is a priviledge for anyone to buy you products! Especailly when you can find the same items at your local Wal-Mart for a cheaper price! This company have seen the last dollar I will ever spend buy your products!

Below is the email I sent to both TLG Great Fun and Shoebuy.com. Please make sure you never order or use either company. Please share wil everyone you know.

I hope somehow this email will make it up to the top of chain in your company. TLG Great Fun is nothing
but a scam and I hope this will come to bit the people in charge of it one day. I had $11.99 took from my
checking account for 6 months and I never even knew I signed up for this so called membership fee. I
never used this service and want a full refund, lucky my bank was about to help get 3 months back. I hope you enjoy the other 3 months that you stole from me.

It appears it will only be a short time and people like me will keep spreading the BAD news about this
company and see that you go under. Just a quick serach on the internet and you can find a ton of
people talking bad about TLG Great Fun. Here are 2 links just in case you would like to look.

If you truely care about customer care and feel the need to contact me I can be reached at djh1121@yahoo.com.

I also feel shoebuy.com knew about this and will do my best to spread the word across the world wide web
for everyone not to buy for shoebuy.com also. I call them and they were no help, but knew about what had happen because of other customers. Great customer care... Right!

Thank you for you time and enjoy my $35.97 that you both stole.

Missed charge on last month's credit card statement and just noticed it on this month's bill.My sister booked a flight for me in augand apparently that's how these crooks got me.I'm disabled due to a stroke and that's why my sis had to book the flight for me in the first place I know she would never have agreed to any charges being put on my card that weren't a legit part of my airfare, so , it had to be some back door play they have.now I have to try to get my money back and stop any further charges being applied.I hope somebody(able- bodied) can get these vultures through our legal system. rvalenc@hotmail.com

This company charged my credit card $35.99 without my permission or knowledge. Someone needs to stop these people. Good thing I check my statements daily.

If you have been scammed by shoebuy.com and tlg...I found the email address for the ceo of shoebuy. I received an email within 24 hours from his director of customer service. I still will never shop their again. But, if you have been scammed, let him know and send him an email at ssavitz@shoebuy.com.

I had the same problem with TLG/GreadFun with charge of 11.99 on my debit card. My name and cardit card number was given to TLG by AVON.

Don't shop at EVON, you will endup with the same issue.

I just had the same thing happen to me, althought they claimed I accepted the membership via classmates.com where I am a memeber. 12.99 came out of my account, and luckily I caught it the first time around, and found the number via these complaints to have it taken care of.

Absolutely ridiculous when I'm not even a member at classmates.com, and I pay nothing for their services. Somehow Great Fun has all my information though, what a giant scam is right. These people never sent me anything like they said they did, no coupons, no rebates as they spoke of to me on the phone. Nothing in my e-mail or my mail to let me know I was a member of their services now.

I'll be taking this complaint up with Classmates.com next, absolute crap that they would allow this to happen via their website.

I got 2 unauthorized charges on my credit card today, by the same company but different name. It's the Trilegiant company using names as TLG Great Fun, and the other is TLG Complete Homeowner. Each one charged $12.99. My bank gave me their separate phone numbers 2 call, and each gave me some kind of fast talk that didn't make any sense. I told them just 2 put the money back on the card. I have a bad feeling that they are not going 2 stop that easy. Said that I clicked on something on a website I use called "Classmates", but did not click on any such thing. Obviously by reading others comments, this company is a fraud and/or scam. Have written the bank 2 let them know what's going on. What can we do about these things?

I too got charged $14.99 from TLG Complete Homeowner today and I have no idea what the he! they are talking about. I know my husband (and I am using that word loosly right now) was on Party Poker and signed up for a bunch of crap but he cancelled right away - got confirmation number and everything. Of course they still charged us, disputed and got taken off but it was with a different credit card so after typing this I am thinking that can't be it. Could this stuff be imbedded in porn (again husband - no ladies he's all mine) or we are taken a cruise/vacation with Ramada (a promotion thing), they SWORE they don't sell our info, I even threatened the guy with a giant cheese gradder if he did and he said they don't so I don't know.

All I know is tomorrow someone is going home with half their a$$ and my money back on my card.

I HAPPENED TO GO IN AND FIND THAT THEY HAVE GOTTEN ME FOR 34.99 4-9-08 AND AGAIN ON 7-9-08 FOR 35.99 EACH TIME. HAD I NOT READ THESE COMMENTS I WOULD NOT HAVE THOUGHT TO LOOK BACK AND FIND THE ONE IN APRIL. I AM CALLING THE BANK AS SOON AS THEY OPEN, AND I AM GOING TO CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT IF IT IS A CHECKING TRANSACTION, IF NOT IF IT IS A DEBIT CARD ISSUE, THAT WILL BE CANCELED. I ALSO CALLED THE NUMBER LISTED ON MY BANK ACCT INFORMATION AND GOT REGULAR HOURS FOR THEM. YOU CAN BET I WILL BE ON THE PHONE WITH THEM TODAY ALSO. WE WORK TO HARD FOR OUR MONEY TO PAY FOR GAS WITH OUT ADDING THIS GARBAGE TO THE LIST.

It just happened to me. t the beginning I thought it was a membership to a magazine on home and garden. But after canceling my magazine subscription I noticed that I was still charged. I call my bank got the number and called them. They could not even explain to me what kind of services they provided. I called my bank and cancelled my credit card and got a new one issued since even after they told me they cancelled the account charges were still posting to my account. I reported them with BBB.

Thanks for giving me the phone number. I did get through and was just told that I would be taken off their mailing list but couldn't authorize a refund. I told the person that when she talked to her boss about giving me a refund, she should remind him of all the things on the internet...fraud; unauthorized credit card charges; illegal charges...etc. I was then told I should be reicieving a refund. Wish me luck!

We have a charge for $11.99 from TLG Greatfn...thankfully I'm very careful with our account and check it online everyday. I'm fairly sure we got it through priceline because I booked a hotel room through them and was asked if I wanted a 15% discount. I did not approve ANY charges or put in any credit card numbers other than using it to book our room.
For the record, do NOT use priceline.com for anything. Not only do we have this charge but the hotel we stayed at charged for parking and then ended up charging us 3 times for it. We got them to take it off but as for the TLG Greatfn charge, I'm not even bothering with the company...I'm dealing with it directly through my bank. When I talked to the girl at the bank and gave her the name of the "company" TLG she said "oh yes"...she's very familiar with it! Once it goes through I can dispute and it and will change my acct. info if necessary. It just amazes that they've been getting away with doing this for so long!

I am a teen and don't check my statements like I should. Today, I did check my balance and saw I had a charge from this company. After reading this complaint board, I went through my history and found that I have had a charge every month for the last 6 months! Does anyone know who this company is or why we were all charged?

Today I noticed 14.99 was debited from my Florida Eppicard (child support payment) and decided to investigate. Come to my surprise when I made a purchase off of television Nov 2008 I was told that is when I was enrolled into this TLG Great Fun and my membership started. WTH...so the young lady advised me that she can send my 50.00 free gas card to me...Nope but I would like my money back due to I do not know who you guys are. She then advised she can put a request in to have my 14.99 refunded back to my card and cancel my membership. I advised she can cancel my membership but the the refund will be from when the amount was first deducted...314.79 is what is owed to me.
