My car was broken and I contacted the company Toco Warranty. They took my form and only after several long weeks, they finally refused me and their comment and email were so stupid and I understood that they didn’t want to repair my car, but they couldn’t find good explanation why. I argued with them for a long time, but they started to ignore me. I wonder if there are other people, who had the same experience. Let’s share views about this company.
The customer who posted the complaint is not alone. After buying the warranty bas.ed on what I was told by the sales rep, I also was denied repair service for my truck. The sales rep's words to me during the sales pitch were: "if it's not maintenance, it's covered." That's what sold me, however, I didn't get the policy until after I paid my first month. I read through it and it sounded good to me until I took my truck to the dealer for repair service. After incurring diagnostic, rental car, and service expenses, the dealer called me to say NOTHING was covered. NOTHING, absolutely nothing. My blendor actuator, the part that makes the heat and AC air blow through the vents was not covered. The sensors on my wheels that tells you if you tires need air, were not covered, my malfunctioning dash cluster, was not covered, my truck needed a flash software flash update, that was not covered. Bottom line, I was scammed.. This company is a big joke. If the actual words of the parts and/or repair required are not specified in the contract, it's not covered. Now I ask, who knows ALL the parts of a car. Certainly not the customer. DO NOT DEAL WITH TOCO WARRANTY, YOU WILL NOT GET COVERAGE WHEN YOU NEED IT. Anyone who has had a similar problem with this company, please contact me, I am not going to stop with this one complaint. I will pursue this issue and the more ammo I have the better. Transmission went out in my avalanche and they came up with excuses to not warranty it. This company is a new company because it's old name had filed bankruptcy to avoid paying customers. Several complaints all across the internet. BBB is an A- and the company isn't even 1 year old. Please do not waste your time with this company...it is a RIP OFF!
My convertible top would not go down. I was denied because the rep said the car had been modified (larger tires); however these tires were on the car before I bought the warranty. When I kept calling to speak to management I was then told the top was not covered because of a strap was not pulling top down. They considered it wear and tear. Such bull!
We are very dissatisfied with Toco warranty. After going through all our paperwork to make sure maintenance was done properly (which it was) they approved a new engine for our truck. The next week they turned around and declined our claim. It seems they were searching for a reason not to pay. They told us because of a "BG" flush that was done it voided warranty. We discussed this issue with BG who has mailed us a statement showing that their products are helpful to diesel engines, not harmful. There had never been a claim denied my Dodge in the past due to their products being used. They have our back, and will go to deliberation if needed.
!We hope it will not have to go to court, that Toco will choose to do the RIGHT THING!
FYI: Most "Third party auto Warranties" are scams... They will put more work into getting out of paying than keeping their word. Never, never, never, never etc ever get a third party auto Warranty. If you have to get a warranty, make sure its from GM, Honda, etc company and NOT a third party auto warranty! Make sure their info is of that company i.e. GM, Honda, Toyota etc... I've never heard a good word from anyone I know of about a third party auto warranty...
There are good and bad extended warranty companies, most look for the repair is covered and then they pay. I run a business performing third party inspections for multiple companies. I work through 15 different brokers and the bad ones rarely order inspections.
I purchased toco Warranty. After 5000+ miles and two months my engine stopped. I called toco and was told towing over 10 miles was extra. Paid to have it towed to dealership 23 miles away. To o called and said engine problems were preexisting and were not covered. Ended conversation.
