Tonal Review: Great Concept, Poor Execution and Support
I recently got my hands on a Tonal, which I bought second hand but almost brand new. I was excited to try it out and see what all the fuss was about. Before I made the purchase, I reached out to Tonal to ask about the warranty and they informed me that it would not transfer, but they assured me that they would still support the product.
After using it for only two months, I was in the middle of a workout when suddenly the screen went completely white. I could still hear the program running in the background, but I couldn't see anything on the screen. I tried resetting the device multiple times, but nothing seemed to work. I decided to call Tonal customer support for help.
It took a while for them to respond, but eventually I received an email from customer support. They informed me that since I was the second owner, they would not be able to help me. Two representatives offered to remotely access the Tonal and try a reset, but they were overruled by customer support. They told me that this was a known software issue, but they wouldn't give me any details or try to fix it.
I was disappointed and frustrated. I offered to pay for a technician to fix the product or to exchange the original Tonal for a new one at a discounted price, but they refused. The only thing they were willing to do was sell me a new Tonal at the upcoming sale price, which was $50 less than the current price.
Despite the issues I had with the product and customer support, I have to admit that the idea and programs are great when it works. I really enjoyed using it and found the workouts to be challenging and effective. However, the quality and reliability of the product is poor and it rarely works for long. Even though Tonal told me they would support the device, they didn't.
In conclusion, I would caution anyone considering purchasing a Tonal. Once the warranty has expired and it malfunctions, which seems to happen frequently based on reviews and my own experience with their customer service, all you have is a $4000 wall hanging. It's a shame because the concept is great, but the execution and support leave a lot to be desired.
Tonal Digital Weight Review: Amazing Technology, Terrible Customer Support & Business Model
The Tonal Digital Weight technology is absolutely amazing! I have to give a big shoutout to the Design Engineers who created such a fantastic product. However, I have to say that my experience with Tonal's customer support and relationship has been a complete disaster. I would rate it a 0 out of 5. It's just like Samsung, they have great products, but their customer relations are the worst in the world. Tonal needs to start listening to their customers and stop being so tone deaf.
I was shocked when Tonal raised their Monthly Membership Fee by 20% and laid off many of their Exercise Program Content Providers. It just doesn't make sense to pay 20% more for 20% less value. This is a business formula that is doomed to fail! Tonal needs to start thinking about their customers and not just their bottom line.
Another issue I have with Tonal is that they only offer one membership tier for $60/month. This is a digital system that hangs on a wall and is always connected to the Tonal Mothership for updates, adding new features, bug fixes, etc. It would be so easy for Tonal to implement numerous Membership Tiers to allow customers to customize their exercise experience to match their budget.
I really feel sorry for the Customer Support Staff at Tonal. They want to help, but they have no authority to do very simple tasks like changing an email address without wiping out all saved programs, as well as the entire history including erasing all customer created free lift routines. This is just ridiculous! It's a "my way or highway" approach to "dealing" with customers. Tonal needs to start treating their customers with respect and understanding.
In conclusion, I wish Tonal would be acquired by a company that understands the importance of customers and customer support. Tonal has lost their way and it's a shame. SHAME ON YOU TONAL!
Tonal Review: Impressive Equipment, Shady Business Practices
When you spend a whopping $4k on a gym equipment, you expect it to work without any extra charges, right? Well, that's not the case with Tonal. After a year of being locked into a contract with them, where I was obligated to pay the now $60/mo membership fee, I decided to cancel my membership. And to my surprise, EVERYTHING WAS RIPPED OFF OF MY EQUIPMENT. And when I say everything, I mean everything. I expected the library of on-demand workouts to be turned off, but instead, every single feature or benefit was turned off at the time of cancellation.
My metrics, the custom workouts that I created, Apple music integration (which by the way is a separate membership that I pay every single month to Apple and not Tonal), and even the dynamic weight feature (which some may consider a safety feature) are no longer available. That's abusive in my opinion. They are simply manipulating their clients to pay $4k upfront, plus $720 in membership fees for a whole year, and when you think that you can finally set yourself free, you find out that the machine only works with an outrageous $60/mo fee.
The equipment that I paid $4k for is now a huge black screen on my wall. That's it. I paid for a huge black screen that features some touch-screen buttons at the bottom. That's all I have access to without the membership. As a consumer, I feel manipulated, used, abused, ripped off. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to sue this company. But I truly hope that someone out there does.
It's a shame because the Tonal equipment itself is actually pretty impressive. It's sleek, modern, and has a ton of features that make it stand out from other home gym equipment. But the fact that they lock you into a contract and then rip everything away from you when you cancel is just wrong. It's a terrible business practice, and I hope that they change it soon.
Overall, I would not recommend Tonal to anyone. The equipment may be impressive, but the business practices are shady and manipulative. If you're looking for a home gym solution, there are plenty of other options out there that won't try to take advantage of you.
Nightmare Experience with Tonal: A Warning to Potential Customers
I gotta say, this Tonal experience has been a complete nightmare. Let me break it down for you. So, we were supposed to get our Tonal delivered on December 2nd, but we didn't hear anything from the "tonal team" even though they promised to keep us updated. After two hours of trying to get in touch with them, we finally found out that we were supposed to get a call on December 5th.
But guess what? No call came. So we called them again and got the same runaround. They said they would send a request to search for the product and promised to call us back in 24 hours. But once again, no call came. We called them again on December 12th and still got no answers. They didn't even offer to send a replacement, even though it had been 10 days since the machine had been lost at the hub.
We kept calling and calling, but they never made any effort to make things right. They promised to call us back, but they never did. We had to spend hours on the phone just trying to get someone to treat us like a paying customer. It's been a complete disaster.
And to make matters worse, our friend ordered their Tonal a week after us and they already have it installed. It's just not fair. This company has no sense of urgency and they don't care about their customers. They've let us down time and time again.
So, if you're thinking about getting a Tonal, I would strongly advise against it. Save yourself the stress and aggravation and avoid this company at all costs. They don't deserve your business.
Tonal Review: Amazing Equipment, Untrustworthy Company - STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
This equipment is really amazing, but the company behind it is not trustworthy. The hardware itself is quite expensive, costing around $4000.00, and you need to buy accessories worth $500 to use it. Additionally, you have to sign up for a year's worth of membership, which is now up to $59.99 a month. However, the real problem is that the company is not transparent about what you get for your money.
Initially, you might think that the $59 a month gives you access to a library of different workouts that you can do. But the reality is that the machine only lets you do custom workouts with different movements that you can set up. These are just pictures of the movements that you can set up, and it stores your custom workouts and tracks your progress, as well as analyzes your movements to let you know if you're doing them correctly. It's basically like different weight machines that you would find at a gym.
I had a medical issue arise very soon after I got my Tonal, so I wasn't able to use it for a few months. When I was finally able to use it, I realized that I didn't enjoy doing the video workout routines because they're full body workouts. I prefer to do different areas on different days so that I can work out every single day and still have rest days for each muscle group. That's just my preference.
I hung onto the membership for another year, thinking that I might get into doing the video workouts. I eventually cancelled. At this point, I've spent nearly $6,000.00 with Tonal.
However, two months ago, they took away the ability to see most of the custom movements, and the tracking of your workouts were removed and replaced with messages to renew your membership. So now, my $6,000.00 investment is nearly worthless unless I cough up another $720 a year.
The company is having some major financial issues, and they're doing precisely the wrong things to turn things around. Rendering an expensive piece of equipment useless unless your customers essentially pay extortion money to be able to continue using what they've already paid an exorbitant amount of money for is not a winning strategy, and it demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of human nature. This isn't going to generate revenue. It's going to enrage your customers. The reviews on other sites reflect that.
A MUCH smarter strategy would have been to charge a much lower price for the just the custom workouts, progress tracking, and movement analysis. I can get a gym membership for $10 a month. That gym has all of the equipment that I need to workout the way I want to work out. I would have been fine with paying that $10 a month to get what I need out of Tonal. They could continue to charge the $60 a month for the video library for customers who prefer that.
As it stands now, Tonal gets nothing from me. Because they pulled such a slimy maneuver, they've earned themselves a bad review everywhere I can leave one, and I actively warn people away when Tonal is mentioned.
If you have a Tonal and don't want to pay the extortion money, there are YouTube videos out there with different workouts. I track my workouts with an app on my phone, so I've figured out how to get what I need without rewarding shady business practices.
This company needs a new CEO. The one they have is an idiot. I don't see how Tonal makes it to 2024 unless they radically change course and replace the leadership team.
UPDATE: I looked up who the CEO was because I just HAD to know who could be this stupid. It turns out that she's an alum of Bain Capital. They're the vulture capital firm that acquires distressed companies, leverages them to the hilt, runs off with the cash, files for bankruptcy, and lays off most or all of the employees of that company. This explains everything. Her pedigree doesn't focus on building anything, nor would she be familiar with human nature (or humanity for that matter, what with all that destruction of working people's lives and all).
In conclusion, I strongly recommend that you avoid buying this product. They're shady, and they're not going to last long. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Tonal.com's Lack of Communication and Customer Service Disappoints
I recently decided to purchase a Tonal from tonal.com. The process of ordering was smooth and I was informed that shipping would take around 12 weeks. Expecting the order to arrive in April, I was left surprised when the date of shipping was pushed back to May 10th. What was concerning was that I wasn't informed of this by Tonal. Despite the high price I had paid, there was no effort made by the company to communicate the change to me. Needless to say, this disorganization on their part has left a bitter taste in my mouth. When a customer is investing in a product of such a high price range, they should be kept informed and in the loop every step of the way. Not receiving any updates or information due to the company's negligence has left me extremely disappointed, and I'm currently weighing the possibility of canceling my order altogether.
One aspect of a company that I highly value is its dedication to customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, Tonal's lack of communication post-sale showcases that this is not their priority. As a customer, I am left feeling like I meant nothing to them after making the purchase. With such poor customer service from the get-go, there is no telling how difficult it would be to communicate with them in the future, especially after they have taken your money. I expected more from a company that claims to be all about helping people with their fitness goals. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, and I'm left without any faith in tonal.com's commitment towards their customers.
Tonal Home Gym Equipment Review: Waiting Game and Communication Issues
As a fitness enthusiast, I was excited to order the Tonal home gym equipment. While I've come across some rave reviews about the product, my experience hasn't been the best so far. Like many others, I'm still waiting for my equipment to arrive even after paying a considerable amount for installation. It's frustrating when you're all set to work out but can't do so due to reasons beyond your control.
One of the major issues that buyers like me have faced is the lack of communication and coordination between Tonal and their third-party vendor, Ryder. Even if we need more time for the contractor to set up the space, we can't get in touch with them. Neither can Tonal. This situation has me wondering if the issue lies with fulfilling orders or with the runaround on installation and delivery.
While I'm still optimistic about the product, it's disheartening to shell out such a significant amount for something that's yet to arrive. It's also disappointing to not receive any information on the definitive date of arrival. However, if you're okay with taking the risk and not having access to the equipment for a while, Tonal could work for you.
Despite my current disappointments, I'm hopeful that my experience will improve once I receive the equipment. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Tonal picks up their communication game and resolves the existing issues, making the customer buying and owning experience smoother and hassle-free.
Tonal Review: Safe, Effective, and Personalized Workouts for All Fitness Levels
As a fitness enthusiast, I've tried many different workout machines and regimens, but nothing quite compares to my experience with Tonal. From the moment I received my Tonal in May, I was immediately impressed with the sleek design and advanced technology. After selecting a program and beginning my first workout, I knew that I had made the right choice.
What sets Tonal apart from other workout machines is its ability to provide a personalized, safe and effective workout experience. Even with prior experience training with a personal trainer and owning a Peloton Tread, I found the workout I get on the Tonal to be more challenging, but also safer. Tonal's smart technology ensures that I am not overdoing it and risking injury, while still allowing me to push myself to reach my fitness goals.
The trainers on the platform are also a huge asset to the Tonal experience. They provide not only challenging workouts but also share insightful information and personal stories throughout each program. I appreciate how they make me feel motivated while also educating me about fitness and health.
Furthermore, I was extremely pleased with Tonal's customer service when I reached out with a question. Their response was quick, thorough and friendly, which truly solidified my loyalty to the brand.
All in all, I cannot say enough good things about Tonal. It has surpassed my expectations and has quickly become my go-to workout machine. I look forward to when more people can experience the benefits of this amazing machine and join me in enjoying a truly transformative workout experience.
Tonal Home Gym Review: Is It Worth the Investment?
If you're considering investing in a home gym, then the Tonal machine is certainly worth a look. It's incredibly versatile and essentially provides you with a comprehensive exercise center right in the comfort of your own home. Having said that, there are some drawbacks that make me feel a little bit torn about whether or not it really is worth the money.
One of the things that let the Tonal machine down is the limited range of accessories provided with it. Although it's a great machine in its own right, you do only get a basic starter kit, which means you may need to purchase additional equipment to get the most out of your workout. For example, the included bench is a flat bench, and while it's fine for certain exercises, it doesn't allow for incline, decline, or seated workouts. Consequently, you may need to buy an adjustable bench separately. Similarly, there are no ankle straps included, so if you're looking to do some leg workouts, you'll need to purchase those separately too. There also isn't a curl bar provided, which is another accessory that you may want to consider buying.
It's annoying that all of these extra accessories need to be purchased aftermarket, and I think it would have been much better if Tonal has provided some of these items as an extra incentive. When you're already spending a significant sum on a home exercise machine, you'd expect more comprehensive accessories bundled in. It wouldn't have taken much to make this a fully-fledged exercise center, but sadly, it's lacking.
Finally, the subscription service is also a sticking point for me. You're locked in for a year, and while I can see the benefits of having access to a comprehensive workout program, it's still frustrating to have such limited flexibility. On the whole, though, I do love the Tonal machine, and I think it's a great investment. I'm just disappointed that I had to invest in additional accessories to make it the perfect home gym.
Disappointing experience with Tonal home gym system: long delays and poor communication
When I initially ordered my Tonal, I had high expectations for what this home gym system would be able to offer me. Unfortunately, my experience with the company has been far from positive. Despite making payment for my Tonal, I have yet to receive my order or have it installed at my home. I received several notifications about my delivery date, but none of them came to fruition. The most recent notification indicated that my Tonal would be shipped during the current week, but I have not heard an update since then.
Due to the repeated delays and lack of communication, I find myself losing faith in Tonal's ability to produce and deliver their products on time. It is disheartening that I have received such poor customer service compared to other fitness equipment companies I have purchased from. For example, my Peloton bike was delivered promptly, and the mirror I ordered for my daughter from Austin was met with excellent customer service and delivery timing.
The lack of communication from Tonal is also very disappointing. Despite receiving countless emails and advertisements about Tonal, I have been given short, one-sentence answers when trying to inquire further about my order status. As a paying customer, I deserve to be kept in the loop about my order and any possible delays or reasons for delay. Currently, the only information I have is that my order is still in a processing status - which is unacceptable given the amount of time it has been since my initial order.
Furthermore, I find it unreasonable to be paying for equipment that I do not yet have in my possession. It would be much more reasonable for Tonal to only deduct payment from my account once the product has been dispatched and confirmed to be on its way to me.
Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with Tonal. While I was initially excited about the prospect of this home gym system, the long delays and poor communication from the company have left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.
The Tonal Review: Great product, poor execution
I had such high hopes for Tonal (tonal.com), as the product looked amazing and the reviews were mostly positive. Unfortunately, my experience has been less than stellar. I placed my order and paid for it back in December, and while it was shipped and received roughly on schedule about a month ago, that's about where the competence seemed to end.
What really irks me is that my Tonal has been sitting in a warehouse waiting for their third-party installer to come and install it - for over a month now! I've tried to contact Tonal numerous times to try and source an alternative installer who may not be quite so busy, but they only seem to have the one installer for a major metropolitan area. Surely it can't be that difficult to install it correctly, can it? It's frustrating to know that my Tonal is sitting there, unused, while I wait for them to get their act together. And, judging by the reviews of this and other sites, it seems that rescheduling and no-shows are becoming the norm, rather than the exception.
As a high-priced product, I expected better from Tonal. They had plenty of time to research alternatives and make sure they had a reliable supply chain in place, rather than being entirely reliant on a third-class installer who is clearly overwhelmed. It's a shame because this may be a great product, but I feel like the company is putting their future at risk by not being more proactive about a solution. This time there's no chip shortage as an excuse!
Transform Your Home Gym Routine with Tonal: A Review
When I first ordered my Tonal, I had to wait a bit for it to arrive, but let me tell you – it was worth the wait. Admittedly, it took me some time to get into a routine, but now that I have, I could never see myself without Tonal in my home gym. The resistance is so strong and challenging; it really pushes me just as hard as free weights. It feels different, but in a good way – I love how innovative and unique it is.
Having Tonal at my fingertips allows me to skip the drive to the gym, the drive back home, and the extra time that would take. Plus, I don't have to worry about exposing myself to germs from people who don't wipe down gym equipment. I simply drink my pre-workout, wait for my meeting to end, and then attack Tonal with all I've got. Since using Tonal, I've gained an incredible amount of strength and muscle mass. It has been an essential part of my journey to lose all the weight that I gained during the pandemic, and it's helped me get back in shape after months of sitting at home and snacking on Cheetos.
Is it the same experience as using free weights in a traditional gym setting? Absolutely not. But, Tonal offers a ton of options that make it a great alternative. For example, it has a chains mode that increases resistance and helps you gain even more strength. It also has a spotter assist feature that helps you during particularly challenging workouts. I don't have to worry about asking a stranger to spot me, which can be awkward and uncomfortable.
Before I started using Tonal, I always preferred the feeling of free weights, and I never thought that anything could replace my love for them. I'm happy to say that I was wrong. Tonal is an intense and rewarding experience that will really challenge you if you're up for it. You can either create your own workouts or use a coach, and I have to give a special shoutout to Coach Paul – he's helped inspire my "beast mode" mentality, and I'm so grateful.
Overall, if you want to build strength and gain muscle mass in an innovative and effective way from the comfort of your own home, I highly recommend getting Tonal. It's changed the way I work out, and I know it can do the same for you.
Unsatisfactory Tonal Gym Experience: Installation and Customer Service Issues
I recently purchased the Tonal Gym from tonal.com for the hefty price tag of $3684.40. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been less than ideal. The first issue arose when I discovered that my Tonal had been incorrectly installed on 12/23/21, just three weeks after I placed my order. The unit was placed too close to the wall, making it impossible for me to fully extend the arms during my workout. Despite my repeated attempts to have this issue addressed, I am still waiting for a resolution and remain unable to use my Tonal Gym to its full potential.
To make matters worse, the installation process is less than user-friendly. After paying in full, customers are required to take measurements and photos of their home gym space in order to schedule the installation with Tonal's contracted company, Ryder. However, even though I provided the necessary information, the two employees who came to install my Tonal rushed through the process and ignored my concerns about placement. When I voiced my dissatisfaction with the installation, I was met with a dismissive attitude and told to simply enter my credit card information.
Given these issues, I cannot recommend Tonal as a viable home gym solution. Even though the product itself may have potential, the installation and customer service experience is lackluster at best. Until they can improve these issues, I would advise anyone considering Tonal to look for other alternatives. Additionally, I still do not know how the damage to my wall will be repaired, adding further frustration to an already unsatisfactory experience.
Tonal Review: Unmatched Ease of Use & Results, with Some Cons
Upon trying the Tonal, I am thrilled to say that it has completely exceeded my expectations! The ease of use is unparalleled - after one initial workout assessment, the machine is able to intelligently determine the appropriate weight needed for each workout moving forward. This saves me so much valuable time that would otherwise be spent tinkering with weights.
The diversity of workout programs available is another major highlight for me - they are expertly crafted to maximize results and even provide clear instruction on proper technique for each exercise. After using the Tonal for about 3 months now, I can testify that the results speak for themselves.
Even compared to a regular public gym, the Tonal is a game changer. It does 95% of the workouts I used to do, and its intuitive intelligence somehow always knows when form needs correcting during reps. Additionally, it syncs smoothly with my wireless headphones, Apple Watch, and Apple Music for a seamless workout experience.
However, it's worth mentioning that there are some cons as well. The only downside I've experienced is specifically regarding leg workouts. While the Tonal offers a variety of leg exercises, I do miss traditional leg machines such as the leg press, leg extension machines, and squat racks.
Another negative aspect, for some, might be the monthly subscription price - I personally feel it's on the higher side, and would have preferred a free first year with purchase. I've recommended the Tonal to family and friends, but some have been deterred by the subscription rate. I believe that if the price was lowered, the product would see even more success!
All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend the Tonal to anyone - it's an amazing investment that I would purchase again in a heartbeat!
Transform Your At-Home Strength Training with Tonal: A Comprehensive Review
Tonal is an exceptional at-home strength training solution that has completely transformed the way I approach working out. I was initially skeptical about how effective it would be, but all doubts were dispelled after the initial strength assessment. The device is incredibly well-constructed, and I love the built-in library of nearly 150 guided movements. What's more, the technology behind the hardware is outstanding. After just a 10-minute assessment, Tonal analyzes your strength and then adjusts weights for all future moves to suit your strength level. And as you get stronger, the weights will automatically adjust by at least one pound, as evidenced by visible data I was able to track over more than two years.
Aside from the hardware and technology, the coaches are top-notch, providing expert guidance and a good dose of humor during workouts. They also provide a wealth of content beyond the workouts themselves, including an active Facebook community that is uplifting and supportive. Furthermore, the sheer amount of content available is impressive, covering everything from barre and HIIT to mobility and meditation. There's something for everyone on Tonal.
One of the best aspects of Tonal is how much the company values customer feedback. Over the two years I've used it, I've noticed a significant improvement in the product, with regular updates, new content, and features added without having to buy anything new. All of this speaks to the company's focus on creating the best possible product for its customers.
Overall, if you're looking for an at-home strength training solution that is second to none, I highly recommend Tonal. The technology, coaching, and content are exceptional, and there's always something new and engaging to try.

Mixed Review: Great Machine, Disappointing Quality and Delivery Timelines
This machine is really great, I gotta say. When it works, it's amazing. The folks over at customer service are always super nice and quick to respond. The guys who came to install it were also really great. But, I gotta say, the quality of the product and the delivery timelines have been a bit of a letdown.
The first machine I got was a dud. The screen would randomly freeze, but I was still able to get a few workouts in and I really enjoyed it. It took about 4 weeks to get a replacement, which was a bit of a bummer. But then, the second machine didn't work at all. Again, the customer service people were really nice about it, but they told me it would take another 4 weeks to get a replacement. They also said that my priority for a replacement was different than for someone who was buying a new machine.
A friend of mine has had no issues with his machine and he loves it. So, I know that when I finally get one that works, I'll be really happy with it too. But, it's been a bit frustrating dealing with the quality issues and the long wait times for replacements.
Poor Customer Service and Delivery Experience with Tonal Fitness
Tonal was a big disappointment for me. When I received my order, it was broken and I had to wait for another 3 weeks to get a new one. I was really frustrated when the delivery was cancelled on me twice without any notice. I tried to contact Tonal multiple times, but it was not easy to get in touch with them. Finally, I was able to speak with someone and I had to demand reimbursement of shipping and delivery. It was really frustrating to have to call and jump through more hoops when I made no mistake in the first place. The customer service agent was not helpful at all and treated me like an idiot. They didn't understand that I had to take two days off for no show deliveries!
After all this, Tonal wouldn't offer me any additional compensation for all the hardship I had to go through. I asked for a few months of free membership, which would cost them nothing, but they refused. They were fine with me cancelling my order and losing a customer altogether. It's really disappointing to see that good customer service is hard to find these days.
Despite all these issues, I finally received a working Tonal and was able to install it. The product itself is great and I'm happy with it. However, the whole experience was really frustrating and I wouldn't recommend Tonal to anyone who values good customer service.

Poor Customer Service and Incompetence: My Disappointing Experience with Tonal
I recently had an experience with Tonal, and unfortunately, it was not a positive one. My machine was received by their hub over a month ago, and since then, I have been trying to schedule an installation. I called their customer care team more than ten times, but every time I was told that they would call me back with an update, but they never did.
Finally, after much persistence, they gave me a date for installation and assured me that the installation team would call me the day before. However, they never called, and when I called to double-check the final time, I was told that I was not on the schedule. This was extremely frustrating as I had taken time off from work for the installation, and no one bothered to call me or update me.
I have records of emails and confirmations from both Tonal's customer care team and their installation partner, but it seems like their team is inefficient, unresponsive, and incompetent. This raises major concerns for me as a customer. If their team cannot even schedule an installation properly, how can I expect them to take care of me if something goes wrong with the machine?
Overall, my experience with Tonal has been disappointing, and I cannot recommend them to anyone. It seems like no one gives a crap about their customers, and that is simply unacceptable.
Tonal Machine Review: Amazing Product, Terrible Customer Service
machine and now I regret it. It's a shame that a company with such a great product can have such terrible customer service.
I mean, seriously, who wants to deal with a company that can't even keep track of their own payments? And don't even get me started on the language barrier. It's like they hired people who barely speak English just to save a few bucks. It's frustrating and disrespectful to customers who are paying top dollar for their product and services.
But let's talk about the product itself. The Tonal machine is amazing. It's like having a personal trainer in your own home. The workouts are challenging and effective, and the machine itself is sleek and modern. It's definitely worth the investment if you're serious about your fitness goals.
However, the monthly fee of $50 can add up over time. And if you ever need to move, be prepared to pay extra for Tonal to do it for you. It's a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it to keep your warranty intact.
Overall, I would recommend the Tonal machine to anyone looking for a high-quality home gym experience. Just be prepared for some frustrating customer service experiences along the way. But hey, that's life, right? Nothing is perfect.
Cautionary Review: Tonal Machine - Good Product, Horrendous Customer Service
I recently purchased a Tonal machine from tonal.com and at first, I was thrilled with my purchase. However, after a few weeks of use, I started to notice some issues that I felt were not justified given the high cost of the machine. After much consideration, I decided to return it on 12/5/2022. The third-party installer came to pick up the machine on 12/12/2022, but to my dismay, I have yet to receive a refund as of 12/30/2022. Every time I call customer service, they tell me that they have not received confirmation from the third-party movers that they have the machine. Meanwhile, I am still being billed for my $50 a month Tonal membership fee, even though I no longer have the machine. They assured me that they would cancel my membership and issue a refund for the past 10 days, but I have received nothing. In fact, when I called today, I was told that my membership was still active! It's frustrating to say the least.
While the Tonal machine itself is good, I would caution anyone who is considering purchasing it. If you have any doubts about whether or not you will love it, don't waste your time or money. The customer service is horrendous and it's not worth the hassle. I could go on and on about the issues I've had with Tonal, but suffice it to say that I would not recommend it to anyone.
Tonal Review: Great Machine, Terrible Customer Service - Beware of Delivery and Installation Issues
Just checked out the new Tonal location in Indy and Lawrence was awesome in showing me how to use the machine. I was so ready to buy it right then and there, but then this lady came up and started talking about how she was having trouble scheduling a delivery and was thinking about cancelling her order to buy a Mirror instead. She said people are willing to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery, but they're not willing to deal with any nonsense when it comes to installation. I totally get it - if she can't get her machine when the warehouse is only 30 minutes away, how am I supposed to get mine when I move home and the installers are 5 hours away? That's a lot of money to spend with no customer service to back it up.
It's too bad that Tonal doesn't handle the entire process - if their customer service is that bad before I even make a purchase, then I have no choice but to look elsewhere. I really wanted to own this machine because it's perfect for my needs, but I can't justify spending that kind of money with no recourse if something goes wrong. It's funny that none of the other reviews I've seen have mentioned this issue - is Tonal filtering them before they get posted? I hope they get this handled soon because it's really disappointing to see such a great product fall short in the customer service department.
Tonal Review: Lack of Support Makes This "Premium" Product Not Worth It
So, I recently got my Tonal installed and I was really excited to start using it. I mean, who wouldn't be? It's a whole gym in one machine! I started getting into a routine and was seeing some real results. But then, disaster struck.
One day, in the middle of a set, my left arm started clicking like crazy. It was like I had pressed the button to rotate it or something. And then, to make matters worse, the arm actually unlocked and started swinging around. I was in the middle of a rep and the weight was still engaged, so you can imagine how dangerous that was. My arm and shoulder were in a really bad spot for a second there.
I immediately called customer support and thought I was scheduling a tech to come out. But it's been 3 weeks now and I haven't heard anything. No updates, no phone calls, no emails, nothing. I've been repeatedly asking for any kind of update at all, but it's like they don't even care.
Honestly, this is not a premium product. And it's definitely not premium service. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone until they get drastically better product support. I mean, I'm going to have to start completely over in my workout program if/when they finally get back out here to fix it. And to make matters worse, they're still charging me for the monthly subscription even though I can't even use it!
Overall, I'm really disappointed with Tonal. It had so much potential, but the lack of support is just unacceptable. If you're thinking about getting one, I would definitely think twice.
Tonal Review: Impressive Tech, Disappointing Customer Service
Don't let the sleek design and impressive technology of Tonal fool you - when it comes to their customer experience, this company falls far short. As someone who recently went through the process of ordering, installing, and ultimately removing a unit, I can attest that it was a frustrating and time-consuming ordeal that spanned a staggering 167 days.
Despite multiple efforts to reach out to the CMO directly via LinkedIn message, as well as over 10 emails to their support team, I sadly found myself repeatedly ignored and unable to get any real answers or support for my concerns. Worse still, Tonal held almost $4500 of my hard-earned money since July 5th, leaving me feeling both financially and emotionally drained by the entire experience.
Ultimately, I cannot in good faith recommend Tonal to anyone looking to invest in a home gym setup. While the product itself may be an impressive piece of technology, the lackluster customer service and poor communication from the company make it clear that they simply do not care about creating a positive experience for their customers. If you're looking for a company that truly values your business and puts your needs first, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Tonal: Poor Customer Service and Disappointing Experience
It is with sad and unfortunate remarks that I attempt to share my experience with Tonal (tonal.com) as a potential customer. In all honesty, I was really excited to get one of their machines after I had read several great reviews about it. However, the experience I had leaves me with nothing but a negative opinion about their company, customer service, and overall ethos.
I went through weeks of arguing with their customer service, who seemed to have misplaced priorities when it came to their business dealings. Instead of providing simple assistance on where and how to have their product installed in my home, they presented me with seemingly arbitrary restrictions and decisions based on how my house was built. This led to a prolonged and highly frustrating experience that made me reconsider my choice of purchasing their product.
The frustrating part of this saga is that calls made to supervisors went unanswered and my issues were left unresolved. It seemed to me that this was a clear indication of a customer service department that was not interested in creating loyal relationships with their clients. As a result, I had to wave the white flag and give up on purchasing one of their products.
Having said that, I did not regret my decision because I had minused their reliability in handling customer’s issues. Moreover, it seems like I am not alone in this since other customers have reported experiences similar to mine, which for a company promising so much, is a total letdown. Overall, my experience with Tonal was poor and disjointed, and I sincerely hope they take into account the feedback given by their previous customers and work toward rectifying their flaw to improve their customer service and restore faith in the minds of potential customers.
Tonal Delay: Disappointing Customer Service and Delivery Issues
I ordered Tonal, the latest fitness equipment sensation, from tonal.com two months ago with much excitement and anticipation. However, I am still waiting to actually receive the product and start benefiting from its amazing features. To make matters worse, I have reached out to customer care several times regarding the delay and there has been no response, leaving me feeling frustrated and ignored.
Furthermore, I understand that I am not the only one in this situation. It appears that others who have purchased Tonal through retailer Ryder are also facing similar challenges. It is disheartening that despite reaching out to both Tonal and Ryder for assistance, no one seems to care enough to respond and provide a clear update regarding the delivery of this much-hyped equipment.
Moreover, even if you are lucky enough to schedule an install date, there seems to be no guarantee that it will actually go smoothly. Based on previous reviews, I have read, there is still a high probability of delivery and/or installation delays, adding further frustration to an already stressful situation.
Therefore, as a potential buyer, it is essential that you make an informed decision. While the Tonal may be an exceptional product, the company's lack of transparency and communication raises concerns about their commitment to customer service. If you decide to purchase Tonal, be aware that you may be waiting for a long time without any assurances.
My Unfortunate Experience with Tonal: Do Not Invest Your Time and Money
I recently had an unfortunate experience with Tonal, and I must urge others to be wary of investing their time and money with this company. After waiting four months for the machine to arrive, I was given a delivery date, only to wind up disappointed with a no-show. From there, I had to deal with constant rescheduling attempts on their end, occurring four times in one month! Ultimately, I was left with no choice but to cancel my order.
As a consumer, I cannot in good conscience recommend Tonal. Their lack of communication and poor customer service has left me with a sour taste in my mouth, and I have never had such a frustrating experience with an online purchase. Even if it's something you are interested in, it's crucial to do your research and think twice about investing in Tonal.
Tonal Review: Beware of Fraudulent Practices and Discriminatory Attitudes
In today's world, we often come across those companies that claim to provide exceptional services, and one such company that we came across is Tonal. But, unfortunately, our experience with them was not up to the mark, and we advise all the buyers to be aware of their fraudulent practices.
Initially, Tonal offered us all the lucrative deals and promises that made us purchase their services, but soon after, everything started to go wrong. First of all, their customer care executives were quite inept at solving our queries and resolving our issues. Moreover, the supervisors were hardly available to take our calls or answer our emails. It felt like they have gone dark and did not care about our issues and grievances.
Furthermore, we would like to bring to light the discriminatory practices by Tonal against the Jewish community. We have personally felt the brunt of this discrimination. They treated us like second-class citizens and did not resolve our queries on time. It was quite a disturbing experience.
Moreover, if you belong to the LGBTQ community, then you might not want to purchase their services at all. As soon as we informed them of our sexual orientation, we were immediately blacklisted. Our order was canceled without any reason, and any subsequent calls were immediately dropped. It was quite hurtful and showed the company's lack of empathy and understanding towards the LGBTQ community.
In conclusion, we would like all the readers to stay away from Tonal and save yourself from the mental agony and harassment that we faced. Their discriminatory practices and poor customer care services left us with a bitter taste, and we advise all our fellow buyers to be extra cautious in dealing with them.
Nightmare Experience with Tonal: Delayed Deliveries and Poor Customer Service
I recently decided to invest in a new piece of workout equipment and after doing some research, I settled on Tonal. However, I have to admit that my experience with this company has been anything but smooth sailing. While I've had no issues purchasing a Peloton and a Hydro in the past, ordering the Tonal has been an absolute nightmare.
First of all, my delivery was delayed not once, not twice, but three times. It was incredibly frustrating to have to rearrange my schedule multiple times to accommodate the delivery, only to have it pushed back every single time. And when the equipment finally did arrive, I was informed that it couldn't be installed due to problems with the studs.
This was on December 29th, and I was told I needed to do a stud build-out. While I was able to get that taken care of within three days and even sent them pictures as proof, I still haven't received my delivery as of January 22nd. And despite my countless calls and emails trying to get answers from Tonal, I've yet to get a straight answer from them. Not only is this incredibly frustrating, but I'm also being charged for equipment I don't even have yet.
While I had high hopes for Tonal, I have to say that my experience with this company has been bush league at best. I hope they can get their act together soon and start providing better customer service and communication.
