Toonstorm sold me a banned account, refused to pay back money, and then filed a dispute on the account I sold them. When I tried to contact support they told me they can't speak english and disconnected.

Something very obvious is going on here guys. They sell you accounts that are legitimate and are as described, but what they do not tell you is they bot the hell out of these accounts before they sell them to you in order to sell acquired gold. Thats why so many of them get banned within a few days of you purchasing them. Its risky but you may get lucky and be one of those customers who blizzard did not pick up on exploiting their economy... so it's your choice, but now that you have been warned don't cry about it when you roll the dice and wind up empty handed. Good Luck fellas.

I must have been a lucky one. I bought an account at level 60 about a month ago and already have him to 70 and a decent ways into endgame material. Absolutely no problems with blizzard or the old owner. Was a bit expensive but I can afford it. It was extremely slow customer service (I actually went out and get food and came back and they were still verifying) but it did not take more then one night. Overall I'd say they have the best plan for you keeping what you buy and I recommend them.

I bought two accounts from Toonstorm. The payments went PERFECTLY. They are now calling me telling nearly a month after I payed that they recieved two notices that my money had been taken away from them and put back on my credit card which is IMPOSSIBLE because I already paid my credit card bill. They are just trying to steal money from me because I paid a lot. They were incredibly rude when they called as well. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Hi there I am writing to you today about a company that I will soon be done with. My name is Jason; and due to my poor English I am asking a friend of mine to write this article here on behalf of me. The name of this company is called Alterego Network's Ltd, but I work as a Customer Service Manager for their secondary business called Toonstorm.com. Basically, this side of the business deals with online gaming, mostly buying and selling World of Warcraft accounts. The business their dealing with is not 100% legitimate, that is why they are stationed in Hong Kong. The company consists of less then 15 people and is operated by former Internet Gaming Entertainment Ltd co-founder Alan Debonneville. When it comes to this particular person, there are a lot of controversies shrouding around him; and Brock Pierce as the two use to run the aforementioned business until they both decided to stab each other due to greed. You can read more about their lawsuit at - http://virtuallyblind.com/2008/03/07/pierce-answer-counterclaims/

Anyways, I've been working for him for nearly 10 months now and he was the one who recruited me back then, along with 2 more form IGE members to help him to set up this side of the business; as he would like to make a come back in this field of business. He was willing to pay me 18K HKD and give me the title as a manager in which I quickly accepted due to my lack of competence in a lot of areas, especially with my English. Honestly speaking, the only thing I had to offer to them was my experience with IGE and I guess pure luck, so I accepted it without hesitation. I devoted myself to the operation and sacrificed a lot of time for this company. Because I believe that since the company just started out, there was a lot of room for improvements and to set up a lot of fundamentals for the business for the future. But to my dismay, Alan Debonneville did not once appreciate what we did for him because all he ever cared about was the money. That is why me along with the other manager decided to leave and help out this guy who also use to work with this company. This former employee is a smart guy who also had the same mentality as ours; and thought that the company was making a lot of money every day and was treating their employees like crap. So he went to form a company that does similar business as Toonstorm.com. My colleague Rick would be leaving on early next month to help him out first and I will be going next. I can't wait to leave this place and from Alan Debonneville, because he honestly is a incompetent business man, not to mention as a boss as well. He only started his business with his fathers money anyways. He's lucky he has a rich father but his father is not only rich, but at least he cares about his employees.

So what are the negative stuff that happened here in which drove us away? Well, have you ever heard of a company who can lose at least 6 employees in a single day? Especially when we're speaking about a company in which only consists of less than 15 employees? There is a reason for this and not only does Alan Debonneville not care, he couldn't care less. I still remember that we had this sort of annual dinner where he wanted us to gather and 'get to know each other'. He was so cheap that we we're only allowed to order food to share. I mean we were in a Western cuisine resturant where they were serving single dishes for individuals and everybody should have their own dish and stuff. But everybody ended up ordering dishes that we're suppose to be for a single person and we all shared out. With an employee who came in late ended up having the left-overs. How cheap can that be? Not only that, in terms of increment after 3 months probation everybody either had 500-1000 HKD raise and it was not based on any standards. Everybody was given a single muffin and ONE chocolate for the stress that most of the employees had been through when the company was facing some difficulties. One Muffin, ONE Chocolate. Very generous indeed. Also when we took a sick leave, regardless if you had a suck note or not, they will deduct a compensation leave as well as a Annual leave for that day as well! So what is the point of calling in sick or going to see a doctor then? Most companies consider that as a pay day as well! We don't even get that kind of privilege! Oh and this one is the best, we have 2 shifts one morning and the other night. We work 10 hours for Morning and 9 hours for Night. Guess what? We don't get lunch times even when it states on the contract that we do get at least 1 hour break! Alan Debonneville recently set up a company in Switzerland and despite those guys having minimum wages, they are still getting triple the salary that I am getting! They only do half of the tasks that my colleagues do as well! Most important of all, whenever we voice out our opinions to him, Alan Debonneville never listens and always goes according to his plan. That also includes when most of his plans flop! He calls it a good business practice! Shows how much skill he has in doing business!

That is just some of it, and I guarantee more. But with a single day we lost like 6 employees, this place is just falling apart due to lack of attention in the management area. We even lost our main person who has a very rich experience with online security and has a lot of experience with the previous company IGE. He also was the one who set up most of the fundamentals for our Security Procedures, but Alan Debonneville made the wrong move and simply just forced him out of the company. I mean what the hell is he thinking? In our field of the business online security is a crucial factor. But then again he doesn't care because he has been losing ten's of thousands of dollars as well as World of Warcraft accounts since he considers people who pay big are legitimate customers. Folks, have you ever heard of a company who got scammed by the same individual 6 times? Not just from one idividual as well. We should give a prize to Alan Debonneville here! I guess people who get paid by their rich parents are blissful, because they don't have to give a ### about the money factor. So getting back to the subject, we lost a guy who has so much rich experience. Not only that, but he was never given any opportunity for promotion when it was clearly evident that he could take the helm! We also lost another guy who was here when the business just started out and is also another promotion material. This just shows how he lacks the business sense and how self-centered Alan Debonneville is!

I do have to admit that I was tempted by an employee, when he was shoe shinning me. He brought me breakfast every morning and did so many things for me. I knew this was wrong, but I was flattered that soebody was doing this for me when I knew what was up his sleeves. His name is Kenny Wong and I was the one who proposed to Alan Debonneville to promote him to a supervisor when he has not even passed probation yet. My plan backfired me; and he is now he is totally against me in the company, mainly backstabbing me in front of Alan Debonneville. I'm just a man, and I do admit in making some stupid decisions in this company. But then again, Alan Debonneville should have gone to check to see if he was capable of fitting the role. Not only did he not check, but he simply agreed and things just went chaotic there. This Kenny Wong was also one of the factors for everybody to leave; since he is a incompetent individual who is only good at shoe shinning. I got a bit of taste of my own medicine here, so I do feel bad about those people leaving thus that is why I decided to write here. Promoting the wrong people is also a factor for people to leave. You can't simply just promote somebody who has not pass probation or lacks the attitude here. But Alan Debonneville thinks it's ok and this will lead to his his companies demise. But it's like he cares, if this one goes down all he has to do is ask his father for some money and open a new one!

Without the competent people, and no management and leadership in the company, Alterego Network's Ltd and Toonstorm.com will fall. They just in their 8 months now and already so many negative things have occurred. This will keep going on and eventually Alan Debonneville will close down the business and reopen it again under a different name. After all he is infamous for running away from his problems because he has a rich father John Debonneville to back him up financially. I can't wait to I get out of her as well... Up to this date I still don't get how a small size company which only consists of less then 15 employees can come to this. You really have to give it to Alan Debonneville. It's almost time for me. That's all I have to say here.

Sorry Lago. Some people have lives outside of games such as girlfriends, jobs etc. and don't live in their parents basements like you to play these games. We want an easy way to get to 70 instead of spending countless days.

Toonstorm has this ratepoint on their site which is suppose to ratepoint their feedback. My question is why can't toonstorm post comments about toonstorm? It's a complete joke and a scam for people to make them think they got good service.

Toonstorm has so many problems, just look at all the other posts, even an ex employee tells the truth. The truth is, they are chinese based, they ban accounts like mine, and they won't COMPENSATE for it. At least be up front, and tell the customers that there is a high risk of an account being banned instead of blaming it on us.

So everyone, if you want to know the facts, get ready for a 50% chance of a suspension or ban if you buy from toonstorm. I mean what site posts in their FAQ about being banned when they tell you in chat there is no risk!

***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: (NOT SAYING UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED)
Offense: Unapproved Third Party Software

A third party program is any file or program that is not a part of the World of Warcraft software, but is used to gain an advantage in the game, such as increasing your movement speed or teleporting from one place to another beyond what is allowed by game design. It also includes any programs that obtain information from the game that is not normally available to the regular player or that transmit or modify any of the game files. Normally, this classification does not include UI modifications, except those UIs that require an external application to function.

Any external applications that are used in conjunction with World of Warcraft can cause quite a few unwanted side effects. Some of the major possible results of the use of third party programs can be instability of the game to the point that a player "crashes" from the game quite often. External programs can also be used to transmit viruses, spyware, and other unwanted programs into a player's computer. Third party programs can also be used to obtain information from the player's computer, such as account, password, and personal information.

If a player is found to have used such a program, he/she may:

* Be temporarily suspended from the game
* Have further action taken, up to and including account closure, based on the intent of the program

Access to the World of Warcraft account H0M3H0LL4ND, and any World of Warcraft account associated with the payment information you have provided, has been permanently disabled. The account has been identified as having used unauthorized game modifications and thus is in violation of the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. The recurring subscription on the account has been disabled to prevent further charges.

Please review the World of Warcraft Terms of Use at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html, which you accepted when you installed World of Warcraft and established the account(s). Section 2, Paragraph C details the limitations of game play modifications and use of any third-party or “packet sniffing” software. In addition, Section 3, Paragraph C, parts iii and iv restrict the use of any hack, scripting or macroing software which obtains information from World of Warcraft to gain a competitive advantage over other players.

Furthermore, any activities not intended by game design which affect the economy, the client, player characters or the world itself have a tremendous negative impact on the potential enjoyment for all players. The effects of these activities take many forms including a bloated game economy, server instability, and allowing unauthorized access to accounts, computers, and player data.

As a result, the account(s) will no longer be accessible and will not be reopened under any circumstances.

Any disputes or questions concerning this account action can only be addressed by the World of Warcraft Account Administration department. To learn more about how Account Administration is able to assist you, please visit us at http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/.

A guy buy the name of Vincent who says he is with Toonstorm sent me an email on 11/26/08 about a year after getting rid of my wow account. Apparently they have "evidence" of me stealing back my account and playing on it LOL. My optioins are to give the account back, mail them the money back, or face legal action. WTF? They dont have a number you can call to get in touch with them and with accusations like this i want to talk to someone on the phone. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know. For now my advice is to stay the hell away from Toonstorm. Find someone eslse to take your wow account.

I was considering selling my rogue, with all 232-245 gear, and a 75 alt in BT epics...but only $103? no way...seeing as a rogue not nearly as geared was selling for almost $350?
Ha, not a chance. Seeing this post saved me haha...and their cs is terrible, I tried to tell them about hearing scams and they referred me to their own reviews...fail? anyways, thanks for posting about the site and saving my account.

What everybody fails to understand is that it is against Blizzard terms of service to buy or sell an account PERIOD! You buy an account you risk loosing everything and all other accounts can also be banned. Besides for the money you spend you can make your own toon and get experience playing - thats the whole idea about working your way up through the ranks, understanding the dynamics of the game play for your unique character. Believe me as I have 10 toons and 6 lvl 80's with good gear. Learning how to play each one has made me a better player especially when it comes to end game instances and raids. Gold sales and character sale have done nothing but promote account hacking. I know from experience as my account, and both my suns had their accounts hacked. I was lucky and still had my toons but my one son - who was inactive but intending on playing again lost everything and his toons were all gone plus his guild (he was guild leader) bank was stripped and everything sold for gold. The thieves even opened a battlenet account for him before selling and deleting everything. Blizzard was unable to restore his account as he had been inactive.

I thought that buying and selling of accounts on WoW was against the EULA, anyway.. I mean, I know it happens sometimes, but seriously? If you got ripped off for doing something that's stupid and against the EULA anyway, you've nobody to blame but yourself. Same reason I will never donate to private servers, no matter what even a small donation might get me - there's too much of a chance they'll be shut down and you'll be out hard-earned money.
