I sent in my dog's pics, cash, and all the stuff they wanted to get him registered, but it's been two whole long weeks and I ain't heard nothing from them. No calls, no emails, nothing. I reckon UKC, also known as United Kennel Club, ain't good for business.
I gotta say, United Kennel Club ain't the best when it comes to pickin' up the phone
I gotta say, United Kennel Club ain't the best when it comes to pickin' up the phone. I sent 'em some cash for a registration a couple weeks back and haven't heard a peep since. I try to call 'em up and I'm stuck in line at position 154, but then two minutes later I'm bumped down to 175. I wait for three whole hours and finally get through, only to have 'em hang up on me. This is hands down the worst business experience I've ever had.

I been tryna get my dog registered with these folks since December . They said my registration was messed up and they was gonna give me my money back. But I still ain't seen no refund. I fixed the paperwork and sent it back with another fee I paid, but I ain't heard nothin' from these folks. I sent an email on 3/15/2022 and they still ain't got back to me. Ain't too happy with this company right now.

United Kennel Club got some serious issues with their customer service. I was on hold for like 35 minutes and when the lady finally picked up, she was all attitude and sounded like she was mad at the last person she talked to. She was super rude and then, after I gave her my card number, she just hung up on me without saying anything. Like, seriously? Doesn't she know that we're the ones keeping her employed? If it wasn't for us calling, she'd be out of work. It's just sad. I even told her I'd pray for her and she still hung up on me. SMH.

UKC lost one of our pup's registration in our litter. I called and they said it was in the mail. It never came. I called back 2 weeks later (by this time all puppies went to new homes with the available registrations) and spoke with two unprofessional people. They refused to fix the situation and asked me to contact all the puppy parents to verify their number. They wouldn't print a new one. I told them they're hurting my business and they said that's how it is. I asked them to hurry up the registration, but they said no because it was an accident that their mailroom didn't include the last puppy registration in my envelope.

UKC has gone downhill since Fred M passed away and his wife sold the company. It seems like they care more about making money than promoting the dog breeds they register. Sometimes they take forever to process your paperwork, blaming the USPS for lost mail. But this happens a lot. They have a queue that's always over 100 people long, and they often don't return your calls. Emailing them is a joke because it takes days or even weeks to get a response. When they make a mistake, they never admit it, which means you have to pay extra fees to fix it. They have a forum for hunting dogs, but if you say anything negative about them, they'll ban you or delete your post because they think everything is perfect at their business.

Bad experience! Paid for my puppies' papers to be sent fast many times. Waited for over a month for 1 day shipping and still no papers. So bad, we call many times a day and are caller 100 every time and they don't get back to us until the next day. What am I paying for? Where is this one day shipping they talk about? Also we've tried any other option to get papers back faster and asked if they could email us yet they won't cuz of hacking? Mail is way more likely to get lost then my email get hacked. Also after they told us how much it was going to be on the phone we sent in a check for the corresponding amount yet they still sent us another paper in the mail saying before we can continue you still owe blank amount of money? Why would you prolong that and send us another paper in the mail and not tell us that over the phone? Just to keep getting more money from us and time spend wasted? They literally just rip you off and keep asking for more money. I would highly recommend going though a different company.

This biz to biz was the worst ever! My pups were born on Oct 1, 2020, and I sent in the papers to get them registered. The parents are both UKC certified. The first 3 weeks were chill, just waiting for the paperwork. After a month and a half, I called to see what's up and they said I needed to send pics of one of my pups because of his color. I did that but still didn't hear anything back. After 3 more weeks, I called again and they said the same thing. I told them I already sent pics twice, but they put me on hold for 45 minutes and then said they saw the pics and would process everything that day. But 3 more weeks later, I called again and they said I needed to send pics again. I told them I already sent them twice, but they put me on hold for another 45 minutes and then said they didn't see the pics and I had to send them again. I asked to speak to a manager, but they put me on hold for 30 minutes and then forwarded me to voicemail. I've been waiting for a manager to call me back for 2 weeks now. I called back today and yesterday and the day before that, and finally, someone said my paperwork was going to be processed. I asked if they could ship it express because my customers are complaining, but they said I had to pay $40 extra. I declined because I felt like they should do it for free after all the trouble they caused. Long story short, I still don't have my paperwork.

Tried emailing them multiple times, but they stopped responding. Even sent a certified letter, but still no response. Just want our $49 back. Also, when we called, the recording said there were over 100 people ahead of us. So frustrating.

I paid for a performance listing from UKC on 1/18/22. They said I'd get my digital certificate in 3 to 5 business days. But it's 5/4/22 and I still haven't gotten it. I haven't gotten a mailed certificate either. I emailed them and called many times, but they always say there are 100 callers ahead of me. Even when I call really early, there are still 100 callers ahead of me. I asked for call backs and emailed them, but they haven't responded. I just want my performance listing certificate that I paid for 106 DAYS AGO!

So I got a new one and had to call the company to update and reorder the papers. It's been 2 months and they haven't charged my card nor I got any paper work. I had to call out of work and wait on hold for 4 and a half hours. I tried chatting with them online and through email but no resolution. I now had to take work off again to sit on hold again. I've been on hold for 5 hours and are at position 60 in the hold que. I just want them to charge my card and send me my pup's papers. I understand that there's a pandemic and a war, but this is ridiculous!

I tried calling, but had to wait in line for 149 people. So I sent an email asking them to either honor the $20 price or give me a refund and send back the papers. I heard that other people have had to wait months for their papers even though they already paid. Some people don't even get a response when they contact U.K.C. I gave them two more weeks to respond, but I still haven't heard anything or gotten my papers or money back.

Customer service is terrible, they blame COVID for being lazy. They say they have 38 employees, but it takes them a month to reply to an email. I paid $135 to register 2 pups and asked for tube mailing, but they didn't send it and there was a problem with one of the pup's names. I sent an email on 10/5 and got an automated response saying they would reply in 4-5 business days. I waited 7 business days and emailed again, but got the same automated response. It's now 10/31 and still no response. I sent pictures and registration numbers, and said I didn't want a refund, just new papers with the correct name. I've registered 6 dogs and never had a problem like this before. UKC is usually good, but not now.

I called UKC and they said I should have written on the envelope that I wanted it fast. They also said the papers were in another department. The lady asked if I still wanted it fast or if I wanted my money back. I said I needed it a week ago, so I wanted my money back. The papers came 6 weeks later with FedEx, but no money order. I had to call 3 times and they kept saying a manager would call me back. Finally, I got someone to talk to a manager, but they said they couldn't give me my money back because they spent it on FedEx. I asked for regular mail, but it still took over a month. They said they would send my money order back, but they cashed it instead.

UKC is a bad registry, they don't care about pedigree checks or the health of the breeds they represent. I tried to register my Dogo Argentinos with AKC but they won't let me because not all the lineage in my dog's lines are registered. I've been talking to both AKC and UKC to fix this but UKC says they only register the dog, not the pedigree (what the heck). They say they accept stud log books or proof from another registry but when they register a dog, it says not UKC reg if the dog isn't registered with them. I can't register my dogs with AKC now because of this. I can't find info on the other breeders and people can lie about their dogs breeding. AKC is no different than UKC, they just want at least the generations registered but they don't require any other proof. It's all about the money and something needs to be done. Breeders should do DNA tests on breeding stock to prove their generations. All the registries should have an open system that allows individuals and different registries to look into blood lines.

One lady said there was something wrong with the paper work but I knew there wasn't. They said they'd call back but they didn't. I emailed on 12/20 and finally got an email today 01/26/2022. This is crazy. I'm worried about how they're handling our paper work. When I called again they couldn't find any info with my name. So I gave a tracking number and they still couldn't give me any info. They said they'd call back but they didn't. Another time I called, I think her name was *** but I can't remember. She said she'd email the department and email me but it's been 3 weeks and still no info. Emails take months to get answered. No one calls and they have my banking and personal info! I know Covid happened but it's been 2 years. Other companies got it together, why not this one? If there's a shortage of employees, pay them better so they can do their job. I don't get how hard it is to keep paper work in a system so you can give the right info and process paper work on time. This company can't be trusted with consumers' banking info. I've called a bunch of times in the past 3 months and still no solution to our problem!
