On May 10th, 2023, my dog (London) was taken into PetSmart in Trussville, Alabama. She was not eating like normal and not as active. The person that saw her at Banfield prescribed her Rimadyl. When we gave her the medicine she started to go down quickly. We took her to Veterinarians hospital in Hoover, Al.
The Doctor gave us the option to try and save her with surgery but that it didn't look good. London was an important part of our family and we wanted to do all that we could to keep her, she was only 3 years old.
London did not make it thru surgery. We were informed by the Doctor that she was only constipated, and the anti-inflammatory prove to be toxic to her system.
We can only assume that the Doctor at Banfield (Dr. Cheryl) felt the lumps in her stomach and thought that it was something besides compacted stool.
