my appointment was at 9:40 am.i waited in a huge line for 3 hours to finally get a bed.didnt take 5 minutes to get hooked up.but the nurse was so rude and in a hurry.she shoved the needle so far in my arm..it hurt so bad I told her it was not like usual times that I donate.and she said for me to pump my hand well like usual the blood started to flow in the hose to the machine. I told her again that it hurt and it was not right I asked her to check it again because the machine started beeping. and she said for me to pump my hand and I told her it hurt to pump. she just said keep pumping. then the 3rd time the machine beeped the lady came to check it she asked me if I used the other arm ever before and I told her no I don't use the other arm. so she proceeded to adjust the needle in my arm finally and she was not gentle at all. and she told me to pump my hand again after adjustment and it hurt way worse than it did before. she left after that and while I was pumping my hand the machine beeped again and she came back then she hit a button on the machine and walked away. but when she did that the blood that was in the machine started pumping the blood back into my arm but it wasn't going into the vein. my arm started swelling and a big bubble came up I asked the woman to get it out of my arm something wasn't right and she asked me again did I use the other arm I told her no. so she removed it from my arm and she deferred me. I know they took 28 ml of plasma and a pint of my blood and I didn't get paid. I am very upset my arm is swollen at the sight of the needle has a huge knot bled and bled for hours after I left it has a huge knot / bubble still there this morning. awful experience have donated a lot if times and this has never happened. I will not return.
Desired outcome: well I'm sure you can't return my blood and plasma that they took, however I'd like to at least got paid for my time and donation.
BioLife Plasma Services - Plasma Donation Process
I have been treated horribly by the staff at the center in Mobile, AL. The technician that did my plasma donation after 6:30 pm on May 25, 2022 calibrated the machine so fast in which there was leakage at the needle site and arm pain for about one week . I was in on Saturday, June 4, 2022. My pulse was elevated for a third time when it is always normal at home. It is as almost as if it is designed that way having to stand while waiting and being asked to hold the thermometer after blood pressure monitoring has begun. You have to walk back from the other side to retest, or possibly the calibration of the machine I was not hardly allowed 5 minutes to retest. My pulse was still elevated. I asked for management. The same technician with an afro puff ponytail falsified that she was a manager. I said I would call. I finally spoke with Jennifer, and I explained the matter. She said I could try again on Sunday, June 5, 2022. I did not come again until Tuesday, June 7, 2022 and learned I was deferred because of my elevated pulse and arm pain that has subsided. I met with the nurse Rosalyn. I signed two forms to be faxed to my primary. I just heard back from the nurse on Friday, June 10, 2022. I learned the fax number had changed. I called back to speak to Rosalyn. She was not in, and I spoke to Angela. I asked for the signed forms to be re-faxed to the correct fax number. I was verbally attacked and told I would have to come in to pick up the forms. I asked for a manager and was transferred to Shantel in quality assurance. I was told I would need to speak to management due to complaints about my behavior when I had been attacked. I should not have been treated in this manner to cause this type of anguish when I am trying to contribute to medical treatments.
Desired outcome: I should be compensated in some way. If that is not possible, my promotion should at least be extended.

BioLife Plasma Services - Staff / nurse
I donated at the center & told staff I was cold at the end of treatment with the saline. The nurse asked did I have a metal taste anytime during the treatment I informed her at the beginning but I've tasted that before only at the beginning. The staff then says I'm my chart I said I was having heart palpitations & I walked out the center but I spoke with the nurse the next day when they came & also received the juice & crackers when dismissed by the nurse. I was told that once my doctor cleared me & faxed over the form I would be able to donate. Now the nurse is saying I'm not because anytime a person says they are having heart palpitations they aren't eligible to donate by the FDA. Why was that not told before they had me spend out of pocket money for something i never said i had or no history of when I would've never been able to donate anyways. The nurse was rude and not patient friendly very ghetto & unprofessional demeanor & vocabulary towards myself as a patient & anytime I ask for someone else it's like they aren't available or just not providing customer service. This has been horrific and I will be going to the next level because if I can stop one person from this happening to I will.
Desired outcome: Investigation
