I want to start off by saying I have never had or seen racism directly towards me in my life until yesterday 0n 11/09/20 at your store in arizona 6608, involving associate alice. I went to purchase 3 items, lets not forget I joined the club recently because of my cousin saying how great your deals are. So as I paid for my items and proceeded to the door to have my receipt scanned like always, since I only had 3 items, she then accused me of stealing the jacket my 7 year old grand daughter had on, and demanded I produce a receipt, and then pointing at my kid, then told me, we sell jackets like that, I was threatened with the police, all because I am black and I guess I cant afford her jacket, that she actually got as a gift from her father the weekend before. I have never been so humiliated in my life. I was so embarrassed, not only am I black, but there was a line behind me. The white couple behind me was telling me how sorry they were for me to have had to go through that. My granddaughter was so upset and didn't understand why she was accusing her of stealing. I would have never thought in a million years I would lose sleep over being treated with disrespect from this company. This is not ok. I did not know if I have on clothes that resemble things you sale, I would get harassed and treated like a thief. I have never stolen in my life. I work hard for the things I have and I am currently adopting my granddaughter and you have no idea how hard life is already, without being harassed and treated like a animal at your facility. I was so distraught, I had an anxiety attack, this is not ok... I can be reached at 661.200.4300.
