I needed to return a pair of Women's boots at your Grossmont San Diego store on 1/16/2023 around 2:20 pm. As I approached the register, the Macy's associate gave me an "up and down look" and said she would be with me, and one customer was ahead of me. She appeared to be searching for a specific shoe size for a customer. I waited patiently while my wife continued looking for a shoe she liked. After over 15 minutes of waiting and three times the associate came to and left the register, I asked if she could do this quick return. At this point she said I could go to any other register ad she was still helping a customer. I replied, you could've said that from the start. She then started to get loud and condescending with me, I assume wanting a negative reaction. That's not how I communicate. There were two other customers who observed the poor customer service and negative reaction and shook their heads in disgust. I left the area and ended up at the jewelry counter, where I received great service. I mentioned the problem to the associate and she assured me should, would advise the manger on duty. Desired outcome: I would like for the employee to be made aware of her poor customer service provided and the impact to your customers. Other options so that she can better handle situation's in the future if she has no other incidents in her work file.
