American Safeguard

My name is Jose Jimenez, I also worked for American Safeguard and they also did not pay me. I worked for this company part time for about a month. I got another job and resigned from this company. I turned in all my uniforms and d.a.r's and was told by the operation manager Joseph Gately that I would get paid the following pay period. That pay-period past and nothing. I then tried calling them and when I finally spoke to them they said they needed to talk to their accountant to find out why I haven't recieved a check. Two weeks later there is still no phone call from them and no paycheck I call all available numbers for them and all were disconected and they were no longer in their office. I called the department of labor but they said to file a claim they need to serve the other party aswell. But in order for that to happen I need to find them right? American safeguard claims they have other offices in other states. Is there any way for me to get paid for what I worked? And how can I do that?

To All The Employees: I was the Qualifing Manager/Qualifing Agent for American Safeguard Security in Nevada. Mr. Anthony Brown still owes me back wages also and has not even tried to pay me. I am probably owed more than most of you. With priciple and interest a year ago it was over $22, 000. This was filled by the State of Nevada Labor commision on my behalf and also my team which consisted of a Operations Manager, Trainning Officer and three other officers including myself. I agree if you say that they should pay their debt. What I found out is that Mr. Brown and his girl friend possibly went to Hawii to avoid prosicution. I know that this is not a relief but may be this might inform those as guards being owned money that some of us managers are owned money too. Since then I had decided to completly retire and I am much happier.

My name is Jose Valdez and I also worked for this Company for about a month and I quickly recognized the problem and got out, I made sure that the paiod me me what was owed to me and moved on.

I reported Mr Brown to the BBB and they were not interested, I also tried to warn his customers but they also were not interested.

I am glad that they are no longer in business and I hope they get their just deserts.

When I fought for my employees to get paid, they stopped paying me. In addition, they were underpaying employees in accordance with state law.

Anthony Brown and Shirley Lane (his sister) have had 4 previous security company that have all went "bankrupt" and employees went unpaid. They purposely list the company as a corporation so that once they bleed it dry they are not held responsible and the court can't attach leans to their personal properties.

I have spoken to the BSIS and have offered to help them in anyway possible in order to prevent Anthony and Shirley from scamming good hard working people.

I have also appealed to the Labor Board in order to get my unpaid wages (total of $12, 800). Furthermore, I am trying to get people to get for a class action. If we bind together we don't have to pay as much in legal fees.

OMG... it happened to me too and finally I just read this. They hired me to post and guard at a PG&E location in Redwood City and E. Palo Alto and they didn't pay me. I took them to the labor years ago I forgot when, and a lady from the office in Los Angeles came to the hearing with the Labor in San Jose, and was ordered to pay me couple thousands. Thats the last time I heard from them, I called to collect my $ but phone disconnected, I wrote but no luck. I search, there was one in Florida, I called but still no luck. I don't know where they are hiding now, I hope they're in hell now.
