The sneakers looked perfect at the first glance but as I looked closely, there are little blue pen marks, almost purposely drawn on the front and the back of both shoes. Why would anyone do that? There is no way I am accepting this. The pictures on their website certainly do not have blue markings on them. On 2/18, I reached out to italist.com, and customer service was quick to respond, I will give them that. They asked for images, and I sent them like the ones I have attached. I did not hear back from them in a week so I contacted them to find out the status of my case.
This was their reply.

"Dear Kenneth,
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept the return as our partner has sent us images of the shoes before they were shipped. The shoes depicted in the photos they sent were in perfect condition. Because of this, we're unable to accept the return.

I am a customer who received a damaged/faulty product, pleading with the seller to make a return, does this sound ridiculous to anyone? There were a couple more emails I sent with supporting images and then they replied dismissively.

"Dear Kenneth,
We believe that we have replied to all your questions and unfortunately, there is nothing more we can add from our side. We are unable to accept the return at this time. If you still have any questions or concerns, you might find your answers on the video which explains our unique business model here and read our FAQ.

Why am I penalized for purchasing a faulty product and customer service just shrugged you off? How can any customer accept this? I paid good money not for a faulty product.

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund and if italist.com wants the faulty product back, they will pay for the return shipping fees.
