On 9/22/23 arount 3 pm I pirchased a pork loin that was on sale for $4.99 a pound for members. When I was in the meat section I asked the butcher, who was putting out meat, if the pork loin I showed him was on sale. He said it was. I also asked him if they would give me the sale price at the register as it wasn't listed on the label. He said they would. When I checked out, I saw I was being charged the full price of the item, not the sale price. I pointed it out to the checker, Karen, who said it wasn't on sale and that there was no price tag that showed the sale price. I said I talked to the butcher and he said it was on sale. She went off to check with him. About 7 or 8 minutes later she came back and said the butcher said he didn't tell me that! Of course he did, and that I should have told her I didn't have a digital coupon (the item was on sale for $4.99 for members and $3.97 with a digital coupon) and that I should learn how to get one - basically calling me a liar even tho I had checked with the butcher to ensure I had the right item and he said I did. She grudgingly gave me the price of $4.99 a lb. One thing i should point out about this store is that it doesn't give you the digital price (neither my husband nor I have figured out how to download the coupons) whereas our local Ralph's does give us the digital sale price when we ask for it. Very rude service and I'll hesitate to do any further shopping at that store.

A couple days ago at noon, I walked into this store looking to purchase some hand sanitizer since the CVS next door ran out. The shelves were out of hand santizers and I decided to approach an older lady with short blonde hair, and glasses with the name Darlene on her Vons name tag. She then looked at me from head to toe with a cruel look, she then proceeded to rudely answer. I walked away and continued to shop around. When I overheard her talking and making disturbing statements about Asians that walk into the store. It was very unpleasant and unacceptable. I now feel uncomfortable to shop at this location. I understand we are going through a scary time with this deadly virus spreading, I believe its not okay to be behaving that way in a public workplace. If she is scared then she should stay home and not work. The store should be aware of her and her horrible customer service. I truly hope she is not a manager at this store, if so, that says a lot about this store.
