99 Cents Only Stores - Bad customer service by cashier "Maria"

On Saturday 8/27/22 at 9:25 AM, during the check-out process, the cashier "Maria," (confirmed the name through her supervisor), asked how many bags I was going to purchase, I told her 3 bags. She then gave me (the customer) the bags and told me to bag my items. I asked her if she can help me, she the cashier turned the other way and ignored me. After I finished bagging my own items, I asked her for her name, she ignored me and did not provide me her name. Observed the cashier had no name tag on her. She then cut the purchase receipt in half, intentionally cutting off the bottom half of the receipt that contains the cashier's name and/or ID number with the date and time and the number of purchased bags. I grabbed my bags and asked to speak with the supervisor and/or manager. I informed the supervisor of this situation and the supervisor asked me, if I had purchased the bags at the store and I informed yes. The supervisor then stated, our policy is that if the customer purchases the bags in the store, the cashier is supposed to bag the items. The supervisor apologized for this situation and stated she would talk with the cashier about this situation.

This situation was unavoidable, had the cashier followed the policy of bagging items for customers that purchase bags at 99 cents store. The cashier should re-trained on good customer service and re-train on policies & procedures for 99 cents store. I hope 99 cents store management rectifies this situation from happening again in the near future.

Desired outcome: This situation was unavoidable. The cashier should re-trained on good customer service and re-train on policies & procedures for 99 cents store.
