Comfort Dental - Very Poor Service

This facility has poor service, incompetent staff who will not take responsibility for any actions, and a medical staff that should stay far away from patients.

Do not go there if you do not want to be treated rudely.
Do not go there if you don't want to pay for consultations that they refuse to follow up on. They will charge you excessively for your records so you can go to somebody that will do the work.
Do not go there if you want to be treated professionally.

Doctor Ricco does not care about teeth. He cares about money. If you want to save your teeth, go to another dentist who cares about your teeth because he doesn't.

As a former employee, I agree. The staff I worked with is very unprofessional, the doctor being number one. They take on too many patients allowing little time for the doctor to spend with each patient, they hire unqualified assistants to save money for themselves & treat the higher qualified assistants worse, with lower pay. Favoritism is big here, the doctor will not look into a situation before writing someone up, they will take the word of someone in another department, who is not a supervisor, and proceed with the write up. Not to mention, write ups are never private, the whole office will know about it which is truly embarrassing. We do come off as unknowing because there is lack of communication. The front office staff is blamed for everything, even though the doctor never sees what goes on in his business because he locks himself in his office rather than being on his feet attending to patients & observing his workers. It was embarrassing to work for Comfort Dental, with the salary, hours, and unfairness it is no wonder we come off as rude. They do not hire enough people for one office, so being asked to cover at another office is always happening, and then you have to wait weeks to get paid for the coverage. They do not offer overtime, they'd rather make you take a day off & have some one cover for you before they give you time and a half on your single ply tissue wage. Referrals for braces always go out, requiring front office to beg for business. And the doctor pushes for more patients even though he moans when asked to check on the ones he already has, greedy. Emergency patients have to wait so long to be seen for a simple touch up, patients cannot cancel appointments and be seen the same week as we are always booked until a month out, but patients still have to pay for the month they have not been seen, at no fault of their own. They do not give the required 15 minute breaks every four hours. You get in trouble for not doing your job, so you might as well not do your job & have a real reason to get in trouble. The doctor does not know how to address his employees face to face, he will have someone else relay the message that he needs to speak to someone, which makes your business their business, too. Do not work here or give them business.

I agree with complaintant as I have experienced similar
circumstances with Comfort Dental Alameda when
attending a bad tooth. Full exrays and a push out the door
to see specialists not on the network and requesting thousands
in fees to do a simple root canal - ARE YOU KIDDING!?

I found your complaint to be very vague . . . what is your issue exactly? If you feel the staff was incompetent, do you have an example? I work for Comfort Dental in Patient Relations and would like to resolve any issues that you are having. Please contact me at asiudyla@comfortdental.biz and we can work towards a solution, but, first, I need to know what happened specifically. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
