I work at the sonic location on brodway and vassar store number 4461, and the subject of my complaint is anything but simple or short. In Augest of 2010 i was offered to opt- out of a total pay card option by submiting a void check to activate a direct deposite payroll. I accepted to submit a check as to recieve my checks electronically, and directly to my checking account. In late Augest i gave my general mannager (Scott S.) a form listing all of the information needed to complete the direct deposit process, given to me by my banker. He then told me that the district mannager (Bob) would handle it. I already knew by then that it was not the district mannagers responsibility to preform this task, and inaddition that the process only takes a few minutes. I know this because i have enrolled for direct deposit before through a different employer.
After a month of waiting i addressed my genneral mannager Scott, in question of the length of time i have had to deposite paper checks. His response was, "I don't know why Bob has not done it yet, but i will do it my self." Thinking he would stay true to his word i waited an additional two weeks approx. By this time the 12th of oct. all of the sonic employees must recieve payroll through a money network card. (beside this card overcharging and double chargeing me for some transactions). I asked spcifically to be paid by direct deposit. Now it is the 30th of october and every week i have asked for additional hours, why my payroll is not being deposited, and while i have open availablity throughout the week. Reguardless of my open avalability he refuses to put me on the schedule. The catch to this is I am a recently new father and he knows this, and my younger sister who is still in highschool, works at this same sonic almost everyday of the week. Givin the circumstances of our verbal agreement he should have already completed the direct deposit process, months ago. I am begining to believe he has alternative motives, like harrasment, to his lack of scheduleing myself.
The recent harrasment includes gocking at the young female employees, refering to a male mannager (mike) as a (###), even in a joking manner this statment is extreamly offensive! I have been diatribed for actions I did not commit for example, earlier this month I witnessed a new employee micheal open a wackypack toy and he along with some females employees were playing with it, squirting water at oneanother. Before asking anyone else about the toy, Scott proceded to swear and scold me for opening the toy, even though i had nothing to do with the situation. The last statement i have in these reguards involves statements about my younger sister and her envolment with a costomer, made by Scott. The costomer was a young male who according to Scott was a stoner and stupid, and someone who has left his phone in the restroom a couple of times. After an employee stated that the costomer was friends with my sister, I over heard Scott say something under his breath about her being a little something or other... I then spoke up and asked him "what was that?" and he said in a mocking low tone, "oh! watch out big brother is here".
Any of the things I said previously, more than reasonably, are actions to be fired for in my opinion. An employer should work with my shedule at least as much as one can, but i recieve 7 hours a week, on a day i would prefer to have open, to allow myself to work on homework, because i am a full time student in college.

Because I work at sonic. My managers name is Kris and he is a registered sex offender.
I can't really tell you what he looks like because thanks to stories that my husband told me about how much this Sonic cares about cleanliness (they don't care at all), I have never worked up a desire to risk food posioning. I don't eat there. And the times that I took my husband to work or picked him up, I never went inside with him. I think he was in his thirties, balding, average height and build. I really never got a good look at him and I never talked to him. If I were to ever have a face-to-face conversation with him, I would not have a nice thing to say to him. Out of curiousity, why do you want to know what he looks like?
Wait a second...what does this Kris guy look like?
Sadly, this does not surprise me. I guess a lot of Sonic general managers are just perverts. My husband was treated much the same way while he worked there. If a customer would leave a tip on their card for my husband, he would have to go to Kris Shurtleff, the manager, for it. Kris would tell him to reach into his pants and he would get the biggest tip of his life. Another time, he told my husband to suck his dick. At that point, my husband filed a complaint with the owners. The owners talked to the manager, but I'm pretty sure that's all they did. In return, Kris told all of the other managers there that my husband had complained about them, which he hadn't, so all of the other managers started to treat my husband different. I will never eat at a Sonic anywhere. I don't think they care one bit about their employees. Stands to reason they don't care about their customers.
