Yesterday 3/23/17 I went to my local Sonic Drive thru and actually drove through, did not park at a box. (3605 E 104th Avenue Thornton, CO 80233)
I was at the order box for a full 2 minutes before the person on the intercom finally said something. I was about to drive to the window thinking the box was perhaps broken. When she did finally say something it was not "Hello" or "Welcome to Sonic, how can I help you/order when your ready.", it was "Order when you're ready." So, I did, because I was ready since I pulled up. I ordered a medium Sonic Reese's Sonic Blast. She then said "That will be $4.98 at the window." So, I pulled up to the window. I waited almost 3 minutes before the window was opened. She said "That's $4.98". I handed her a $5 bill. She took it and came back with my change, saying nothing. The window closed and she did not return for 7 minutes. At this point she handed me the Blast and the window closed.
Several things:
1. The wait time at the intercom and at the window were WAY too long.
2. The customer service was awful. No hello, sorry about the wait, nothing.
3. My blast cup was literally 3/4 full of whipped cream. Then in the actual ice cream there was about 7 bites that had candy. The bottom half of the ice cream was just ice cream.
I have been craving a blast from Sonic for a month. Yesterday I finally decided to get one and this was my experience. I did call the number on that was on the drive thru window and left a detailed message and my name and number, no reply. That number is [protected].
I would like a refund. I am very unhappy with the way this visit went and don't want credit because I prefer not to return.
